Isn't he busy enough being the Speaker of the House? How does he find time to do map analysis too? Does he have one showing support for the SAVE Act, that he could pass over to the Senators for us?

That's hard to watch.

The Yoopers come with.

Is there no way to reverse a TikTok video?

Original Mike: Not that I know of. Nor to change the volume or jump to any point in the video. One of many reasons I avoid watching Tik-Tok videos.

That Meta... always talking friendship but finding ways to be divisive.

"or jump to any point in the video."

Yeah, that's what I want to do, to study something that went by too fast. Frustrating format. Ill designed for information transfer.

I was born/raised in the Eastern end of the UP, and during the 50's and early 60's my memories include Green Bay Packer football and the Milwaukee Journal newspaper on Sunday. We had lots of relatives in Wisconsin from Sheboygan up to Marinette. The lower peninsula was pretty-much an afterthought it seemed -- went below the straits maybe twice when I was growing up.

Seems like an interesting concept. Too bad all the flashing/jumping around makes the video unwatchable.

Here is the map without the video:

If you click left and right in it, they go from 10 regions to 100.

P.S. It's a bummer they didn't include Alaska. (I presume Hawaii is quite insular, but sure, include them, too.)

"Cincinnati pulls southern Kentucky, right across the river"

I think not.

Wisconsin likely would have had the UP until Michigan and Ohio practically went to war over Toledo. The UP was supposed to be the consolation prize, though your mileage may differ.

Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin's Northern counties were going to become the state of Superior back in the 70s. Maybe it's just as well they didn't. Become a state and you get a state capitol and all the politicians and bureaucrats and hangers on to plague you. Better keep them down in faraway Lansing or Madison.

Next time, just the map, please, not the grating video guy. I wonder though, is this really an improvement over, say, dividing the country based on which sports teams different counties root for? But then the Mets and Jets and White Sox would need to have their states in another dimension overlying our own.

The West half of the UP should go to Wisconsin and the East half to Michigan. And Isle Royale should go to Minnesota

Sure, we could advance Balkanism. Let's see where it goes this time.

Perhaps we could trade Dane and Milwaukee counties to Michigan in exchange for the UP? Actually a better arrangement would be to trade Dane and Milwaukee counties to Illinois, Illinois gives up downstate entirely, which becomes part of Indiana, leaving a rump state of Illinois/Madison/Milwaukee, Indiana cedes its northeastern counties to Michigan, and Michigan cedes the UP to Wisconsin.
