What's with the awkward "they" pronouns? "They’re peaceful people," etc. Maybe that's just the way they talk in California.
Allen has an elite degree — Caltech. "While a student at Caltech, Allen was a member of the school’s Christian fellowship and the Nerf club. He was featured in a 2017 photo that was posted by the school on Facebook following his graduation. In that photo, he’s holding a picture of himself as a child with a stuffed rabbit.... On his LinkedIn page, Allen described himself as a 'mechanical engineer and computer scientist by degree, independent game developer by experience, teacher by birth.' He lists his 'Causes' on that profile as 'Science and Technology.'"
Political affiliation? "Allen donated $25 to the political action committee ActBlue in October 2024, a month before Donald Trump’s defeat of Kamala Harris.... According to FEC filings, it was his only political donation in the past ten years."
Caltech NERF Club describes itself at Facebook: "a group of people who raid random buildings on campus and shoot NERF guns at each other. Various other activities include: the modification of blasters for cool effects, mechanical improvements, and cosmetic bad-assery; shoot the Albert Yang game; long-term NERF games such as Red Vs Blue and Humans vs. Zombies."
ADDED: "In a brief interview with The New York Post, neighbor Jeff Smith said that he felt as though Allen was 'on the spectrum.'"

Trump is an ass, but he's not Hitler.
Comparisons to Hitler, Nazis, and FascistsThis has been one of the most recurring and escalatory themes, with Trump repeatedly likened to Adolf Hitler or accused of fascist tendencies:Multiple Democrats, including Kamala Harris (who affirmed in a CNN town hall that she considers Trump a fascist), Joe Biden, and others, have described Trump as a fascist or leading a fascist movement. Harris and Biden echoed this framing during the 2024 campaign.

Hillary Clinton compared Trump's potential return to power to Hitler's election, warning it could lead to dictatorship and jailing opponents, and stated Trump has "dictatorial, authoritarian tendencies." She also drew parallels between MAGA and Nazism in ads and interviews.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett and others have called Trump "Temu Hitler" (a cheap knockoff version). Texas state Rep. Ana-Maria Ramos echoed similar "Hitler" references for Trump supporters.

Jewish Democratic groups and figures ran ads explicitly comparing Trump's rise and rhetoric to Nazism, including visuals of swastikas and Hitler salutes alongside Trump imagery.

Broader rhetoric included claims that Trump "echoes Adolf Hitler" (e.g., on "vermin" language or "poisoning the blood"), with some tying his comments to Nazi Germany.

Critics argue this kind of language risks normalizing extreme historical analogies and has been called out for potentially inciting violence.Direct Threats or "Elimination" LanguageRep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) said Trump is "dangerous" to democracy and "has to be eliminated" (he later apologized for the phrasing).

Insults Aimed at Trump Personally or His SupportersJoe Biden referred to Trump supporters as "garbage" (in context of a rally joke involving Puerto Ricans), saying "the only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters." He had previously called parts of the MAGA movement "semi-fascism."

Hillary Clinton famously called Trump supporters a "basket of deplorables" — "racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic—you name it."

Other labels include Trump being a "threat to democracy" (repeated by Biden, Harris, Clinton, and many others, often claiming a Trump win could end free elections), a "wannabe king" (Obama), or implying he is mentally unfit/unhinged.
Other Harsh CharacterizationsTrump has been called "un-American," a "con artist," "vile," "racist," "hate-filled," and accused of turning the U.S. into a "garbage can" for the world (in reverse critiques).
Broader Democratic messaging has portrayed Trump as "destructive to our democracy," "unfit," and someone whose supporters are akin to enablers of historical evil (e.g., "Jews for Hitler" analogies for Latino Trump voters).

These statements intensified during campaigns, impeachments, and post-Jan. 6 rhetoric, with some Democrats arguing they were justified warnings while critics (including some polls and analysts) said the over-the-top demonization backfired by alienating voters who saw it as hyperbolic.
thehill.com
Political rhetoric from both sides has grown heated—Trump has his own long list of colorful insults for Democrats—but the Hitler/fascist/supporter-dehumanization track from Democrats stands out for its frequency and gravity among many observers. Context matters: many were reacting to Trump's own statements, legal issues, or events like Charlottesville and Jan. 6, but the scale of the comparisons has been widely debated as unprecedented for a major-party figure.
Yeah, the only similarity between MAGA and Fascism is that MAGA leaders keep getting shot by lefties. And that didn't lead to good developments in Europe. If the left want to stop MAGA, they need to stop shooting at MAGA. CC, JSM

What's a little attempted social murder between friends?
There was always a dark side to the menfolk on The Big Bang Theory which is pretty much why the laugh track went to eleven.
“What's with the awkward "they" pronouns? "They’re peaceful people," etc. Maybe that's just the way they talk in California.”
The LA Times, from which the Independent took this quote, introduces the quote as follows: “Another man, 50, who lives across the street and declined to provide his name to a reporter, said the family was friendly.”
That article also has another neighbor providing the information that “the current residents of the home had just moved in six months ago.”
He may have only donated $25 to Kamala, but if he spent any time as a public school teacher (and I don't know if he did) then he would have been donating to the teachers unions which pay for the garbage activist marketing that incites people to do violence against the President (and society at large).
The use of 'they' when talking about a single person has replaced wearing your hat backward as the international sign of stupidity.
Stochastic terrorism, especially the dehumanizing language of the left, including all the recent “Butler Truther” leftists on cable and streaming who claim all the assassination attempts were “fake,” is having its intended effect. The NPCs are activated. Their nonstop Trump hate is bearing fruit. Did any of them have a twinge of regret as they hit the floor with their salad plates?
I doubt it. The left will simply dial up the hate because he survived. Again. Bummer that there’s no secure ballroom available yet.
Teen Beat-type coverage where teh AWFLs carry on about the dreamy, new Luigi Macaroni will begin soon…
I bet the Symbionese Liberation Army waved to their neighbors on occasion too.
I'm not going to fault the Secret Service for this one. A guy willing to run through a check point and willing to shoot people in his path is no "Day of the Jackal" type, but a fanatic. Most such are also incompetents, but they'll keep trying. No doubt Lawyered Up by now, but I'm guessing he had some things to say before the "suits" arrived and told him to shut up.
He was trying to impress some guy or girl, was hoping to finally get laid
What's with the awkward "they" pronouns?
I thought they were talking about Cole’s family, not just Cole himself. Sure, he may be an assassin, but it’s more important to not misgender him.
Donald Trump’s defeat of Kamala Harris
This, too, is an odd locution. It would have been more natural to call it Trump’s victory, but we have to keep everything Trump-related negative.
This is 'regression to the mean' 3rd-generation leftist activism. Their grandparents had high-concept ideals back in the 1960s and 1970s, they morphed into hypocritical sustainers as wolves in the henhouse (e.g., Weinstein, Epstein), and are now a "too dumb to know they are dumb" group. Per the SPLC's fabrications, they are often their own enemy.
The old leftist leaders are literally too old to even consider a revolution, and deeply corrupt/duplicitous (Pelosi, Clinton, Biden, et al.). From Greta Thunberg's "the weakest shall lead" DEI arrival through the various assassins and whatnot, these would have all been the cannon fodder of prior generations. Consider how Russia assigned its low value draftees in guaranteed-death missions during the Ukraine invasion. Consider the Clinton-era practice of Palestinians using mentally handicapped people as suicide bombers in Israel (circa the year 2000).
The current left has only low-coherence thinking from top to bottom. Projection and lashing out are all that remains. Zero internal leadership.
Gee, what caused a guy to travel across the country, armed to the teeth, attempt to breech an extremely secure area and kill not only Trump but his staff? What was the genesis for this? It couldn’t be the Commie media/ politicians goading him could it?
“Who will rid me of this troublesome priest?”
Allen has an elite degree, yes, but he appears to be multiracial. His degree may be a California DEI gift, and he may feel threatened by Trump's aggressive efforts to end DEI. As always, DEI casts shade on qualifications. See KJP's inane press conferences, KBJ's inane legal opinions, the crashing DC helicopter pilot, and the sinking New Zealand boat captain.
Now, one guy wants to run past massive security and somehow get to Trump? A true DEI-quality effort.
Those people in the media who have been encouraging others to take a shot at Trump found themselves in the line of fire like him. I can believe the whole room was united - it was reality time.
Per Steve Sailer, he was not a teacher in the ordinary sense of the word. He was employed by a test prep and tutoring organization.
And, obligatory - Democrats aren't trying to kill Trump because they think he's Hitler. They call him Hitler to justify killing him.
Van Jones on CNN: “Van Jones raised the possibility of the suspect being made into ‘some sort of hero.’ The left-leaning Jones cited efforts to lionize Luigi Mangione, and he urged all to condemn political violence. Jones said, “I’m starting to worry about something, though, which is that the shooter survived, which means on Monday he’s going to court, which means there is a danger that people try to make him some sort of hero. You watch what happened with Luigi [Mangione], who shot a CEO to death and somehow became a hero.”
Does he know Democrats or does he know Democrats?
He resembles nicholas roske who took chuck schumers suggestion about Kavanaugh to heart
Pronouns in bio. Always a bad sign.
"He was such a nice boy."
Van Jones is several things, but not stupid. He's right about the upcoming PR campaign for the latest murderous mope. In fact, just by the fact that he calls the other MM by his first name he's encouraging the process....
The post feels like another assassin getting the Luigi treatment.

It was just this kind of violence by the Marxist socialists that provoked the rise of the Fascist socialists (and the National Socialists in Germany)
"Fascism can triumph today because universal indignation at the infamies committed by the socialists and communists has obtained for it the sympathies of wide circles. But when the fresh impression of the crimes of the Bolsheviks has paled, the socialist program will once again exercise its power of attraction on the masses. For Fascism does nothing to combat it except to suppress socialist ideas and to persecute the people who spread them. If it wanted really to combat socialism, it would have to oppose it with ideas. There is, however, only one idea that can be effectively opposed to socialism, viz., that of liberalism."
Mises, Ludwig von. Liberalism (1927)
Of course, our universities suppress ideas, especially classical liberalism ideas as hurtful to the professors and weak-minded students.
Trump looked tired and depressed. He missed a chance to go out and glory.
ADDED: "In a brief interview with The New York Post, neighbor Jeff Smith said that he felt as though Allen was 'on the spectrum.'"
He was on the spectrum somewhere between the Democrat party, the SPLC, and the Red Guards.
The left are so demented in their lies and hate - they catch a lot of crazy rage in their nets.
I wish I'd had that in college. Would've been fun to have nerf ball fights and raids with other student dorms. IRC, we just had the balls. There were no nerf guns.
So, all violence will by the left will lead to Gulags and Stalinist russia. Oh wait, thats wrong. It'll lead to..dum dum... Nazi Germany.
Rod Dreher, that fake grifter is now writing a book about how the USA is Weimar Germany. Because to "Conservative" Rod the big evil isn't a slide to Gulags and Stalinism, its the reaction against the slide.
It reminds me after 911, when liberals weren't really upset at the attack, they were upset at the backlash.
I was shocked at how bad the NY Post article was. Mostly its just a reporter talking to the neighbor and surfing the net. I still don't know why this guy graduated from Caltech and then ended up as a HS teacher.
Thats what they want, what theyve spent 50 yeara to accomplish
In every high profile shooting I'd like to see the medical history of the shooter. Specifically the drugs given for things like ADHD and similar. Bet the Venn diagram is a near circle.
Similar path to thomas crooks
Was 'they / them' his choice of pronouns? Is that why the neighbors are referring to the alleged assassin as 'they'?
This guy will be lionized by the left. Anther assassination attempt hero.
That said - many on the left will claim it's all staged. What is real is democrat party & D media infusing leftist cultists with assassination fantasies.
Who knows its just craziness
Who fired the shots?
The leftist? or was he spotted with a gun and taken down?
Face the Nation is on the Stochastic Terrorism case. Only they're finding it in hatred of the media, not Trump. I kid you not.
Lol
Now Jamie Raskin is telling us if they can get two more folks to shoot at Trump the Ds can get better background checks! /s
Who fired the shots?
The leftist? or was he spotted with a gun and taken down?
I believe he shot one of the Secret Service members.
democrats have always been the party of violence. They just don't hide it any longer. Sure, many dems will say, "Oh no, I'm not violent." Then get the sads that the target wasn't k ! lled, and sternly warn us that we must jump to conclusions, or the perpetrator was a crazy outlier or it was staged, or it was just that Damn war and President Johnson....
Must NOT jump to conclusions ...
The pronouns in his bio appear to be from LinkedIn. When they implemented this feature I got a popup asking me to list my pronouns, and if I wasn't paying attention it would have been easy to just click through and the pronouns would have been added. It wasn't enough to be not prounounist. One had to be anti-pronounist. Unless someone has weird pronouns in their bio, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Per Trump, the shooter issued an Anti-Christian manifesto. So hated Christians. Which means some weird sexual orientation or a just plan nuts.
How could a Caltech engineer design such a stupid plan?
"In a brief interview with The New York Post, neighbor Jeff Smith said that he felt as though Allen was 'on the spectrum.'”
He’s a nut. Nothing more to say.
After every assassination attempt, school shooting, etc. there’s always a bunch of people trying to analyze the guy and understand what it tells us about society or something. It never goes anywhere, and it’s tiresome and pointless. The next nut comes along, and it starts all over again. Nuts just happen, nothing to see here, move along.

The same people that funded the SPLC own the media.
The people with the money used the SPLC and the media to paint all democrat political opponents as racist KKK NAZIs to justify killing them.
Not shocking that the media never seems to figure this out.(in public)
RCOCEAN II: I still don't know why this guy graduated from Caltech and then ended up as a HS teacher.
Because he was let into a school way above his natural ability and then socially promoted out of the way per California's equity policies? Just guessing.
The other alternative is that he has a terrible 'spectrum' character flaw that forced him out of the typical Caltech career paths. Some people truly are not employable despite fancy degrees. Greta Thunberg's virtual twin?
Given the recent stories about the short concert and the AI portrait, every time the shooter is referred to as “Allen” I think of Lily. CC, JSM
Anyone else thinks it odd to see this family with four adult children moving into a house together? Do none of the adult children have partners?
New information indicates that one sister and the brother did not live in California house.
"Because he was let into a school way above his natural ability and then socially promoted out of the way per California's equity policies? Just guessing."
True, except Hi-tech firms are desparate for black engineers to fill their quotas. Its possible this guy was so bad at engineering he couldn't even make it as an affrimative action baby.
I'm beginning to think he was too unstable to make it as an Corporate engineer - but stable enough for teaching.
The question is why the nuts always seem to be leftists. Or at least target those on the Right. There were a complete lack of "Nuts" trying to kill Bill Clinton, Carter, Obama, or Biden. Ford was almost assassinated. Reagan was shot. So was Trump. Nixon was targeted by the Guy who shot Wallace.
JFk was a liberal but not targeted by a Rightwing "Nut". But by a communist.
The left indeed leads in assassination attempts. The only nominal lefty they've gone after was JFK, but he was to the right of Trump or Clinton (versus Oswald/USSR links). Leftists attract zealots who demand change, and who will die trying to force change. The right attracts defenders of tradition and the old ways, and they thereby fight wars against change (react) rather than initiate them.
Presidental assassins:
Mckinley - Leftwing anarchist
TR - Leftwing anarchist
FDR (chicago 32) - Leftwing anarchist
Truman - PR Revolutionaries (Leftwing)
JFK - Communist
Nixon - none - but targeted by Leftist who shot G. Wallace.
Ford - Sara Jane moore - Leftist
Reagan - Hinkle - liberal
Trump - leftists
So Allen lived with his family and had a part time job at a teaching g company that tutors kids. He was an indie video game guy who made one game in 2017 called Bhoring:
“Title: Bhoring (video game)
Author: Allen
Format: short essay / video-game critique (concise descriptive piece)
Main point: Presents "Bhoring" as a deliberately monotonous game exploring boredom as commentary on interactivity and time.
Gameplay described: Minimal mechanics, long repetitive tasks, slow progression, rewards withheld to emphasize tedium.
Themes: endurance, critique of attention economy, satire of reward-driven game loops.
Notable quote (paraphrase): "Bhoring forces the player to confront emptiness rather than distract from it."
Suggested audience: readers interested in game design theory, experimental games, or philosophical takes on play.”
Allen seems like the guy arrested for the j6 pipe bombs, an adult who never grew up.
But how about this! Brian J. Cole Jr Was the accused pipe bomber, and Cole Allen was the press party shooter, how improbable is that!

NERF® fights are a gateway drug? What grisly atrocities will Ultimate Frisbee® lead to?
Lincoln - Confederate Sympathizer
Garfield - "Dissatisfied office seeker, " insane and sexually frustrated.
Kennedy - resentful anti-Catholic (RP Pavlick)
Nixon - nutcase (Sam Byck)
Ford - Mansonite (Squeaky Fromme)
Reagan - Romantic nutcase rich kid (Hinckley)
RFK and MLK assassinations show other motivations.
There was an unofficial report that Barack Obama had received more death threats in the days between his election and his inauguration than any other president. The media later expanded that to say that he had received more death threats during his terms than any other president. That was always a little suspicious. The revelations about SPLC make that rumor even less credible.
Contradictory Statements: While initial reports highlighted a massive spike, then-Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan stated in December 2009 that the threats were actually "comparable" to those faced by George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, arguing against the 400% increase claim. ...
Note: The Secret Service does not typically release exact figures on threats, making public comparisons difficult to verify entirely.

In order to be a leftist you are necessarily morally retarded.
Socialism is the moral equivalent of "If I am nice to you you will be nice to me." That is level 3 on most moral ladders just above "I don't want to get hit so I will stop doing that."
The next step some people take is "What do I do if other people aren't nice to me and don't give me their snacks." A critical mass of your citizens need to take this step in order to have a law abiding high trust society.
If you want a Free and High Trust society a critical mass of your people need to take step 5 and step 6. But very few people ever actually make it that far.
That is why Universal Suffrage will inevitably kill any free high trust society.
Political assassinations in Weimar Germany were much more from the right than from the left and the courts were often lenient on the perps. In the late tsarist Russian Empire were pretty much exclusively from the left, and the courts were often lenient on the perps.
Germany went through military defeat, hunger, revolutions, inflation, and depression in order to end up with Hitler. Russia really had been an autocracy. We may be able to learn from the past, but our fate won't simply copy theirs.
Zyuganov, Russia's Communist Party leader, is saying that Russia may be going through another 1917. That may be, if we consider that it won't be a popular revolution, but a Leninite coup.
What grisly atrocities will Ultimate Frisbee® lead to?

I never had time for that kind of nonsense. Too busy with studying. And panty raids, of course.
His "manifesto"--sent to family--shows that he is either a lunatic or a loyal Democrat with microscopic critical capacity. I am interested about his record at the notoriously difficult Cal Tech. Let's see. Here he is several years after graduation teaching an SAT/ACT prep course. He is NOT working in engineering, he is teaching a cram course...in Southern California...the home of the aerospace industry.
Something doesn't feel right, and then he goes on a self-proclaimed mission to save the world from Donald Trump and Christianity.
I bet he had a tough time at Cal Tech.
