Maybe you can add two and two but I will spell it out for you- all Minnesota has to do is alert ICE where the individual is before his mandated release so that ICE can pick him up at the moment he is released. None of that violates Minnesota constitutional law. What sanctuary jurisdictions are doing is not informing ICE that they hold these individuals and, in many cases, are releasing them early when ICE is coming to pick them up.

So it doesn't really matter what Pretti's intentions were.

Metro Surge has a lot to do with that but hardly all of it (how about a year of construction in Uptown?)—immigrants aren’t going out. All kinds of public gatherings have been diminished over the last year, as they have unfortunately for years. Before George Floyd and Covid, the Minneapolis Institute of Art (single most important institution in the neighborhood) had 750,000 admissions per year. Now it’s under 600,000. (Of course the temperature being ten below zero for most of the month also “helps.”) If you lived here, you’d know this. This year's event is at Hamline University in St. Paul, an area nowhere near any of the incidents, but the event is in danger because the Wisconsin high school teams are concerned about potential violence even though the chances of anything happening at Hamline are about nil. If you were to believe some of the reportage out there, you'd think the Twin Cities were Gaza and it's just not true.

Here’s the difference between old Eat St and what we have now. The Vietnamese immigrants saved the neighborhood 30-35 years ago by starting businesses, mostly restaurants, and then buying the buildings in what was a bunch of halfway houses and drapery workshops. They made good money but their kids didn’t want to stand in front of a pho pot the way they had, plus SE Asian people wanted a house on a bit of land. So they moved to the suburbs. So while we still do have those businesses, virtually no Vietnamese people live here any more. Absentee landlords are not as good as non absentee landlords. They left before it was REALLY gentrified. What replaced the Vietnamese here is a less stable, less wealthy population. Uptown’s decline hurt our attracting customers from other neighborhoods, plus there are immigrant restaurants all over town now so we’re not so unique, and the city council has made the city not a place you want to do business anyway. How many new businesses in a marginal neighborhood can comply with the new Family Leave act? Metro Surge has hit us both on demand and supply side. Etc, etc…

Politics is a lot like NASCAR. About 35 years ago when NASCAR was hot, I sold automotive diagnostic equipment and visited every dealership and shop in my district. Since racing was the sport of my customers, I became knowledgeable of the sport and never missed a race. On Monday I’d hear the outcome of both Chevy and Ford fans. I always thought there must have been 3 different races on Sunday because we all obviously saw a different race.
Likewise, I saw a different shooting than you did but that’s not my point. My point is that not everybody is into racing and not everyone is into politics.

One of their state senators was a moderator of their Signals groups, and admitted it. There were several infiltrators who filmed the text scrolls and it looks like several of the participants used their real names. Not the best and brightest.

There is some evidence that Walz himself was in on the Signal chats. One prominent member is called 'Boogie' and I've read on Twitter that that is a pet name for Walz used by his closest associates. It (allegedly) goes back to his first days in politics, when many thought his name was pronounced 'Waltz' (as it would be in German) rather than 'Walls'. A cute way of saying 'Not a Waltz', not some effete European dance, is saying 'Boogie'.

Ah- the signal chats that the Lieutenant Governor admitted participation in, that tin foil hat theory?
Mark does not deny that Democrats would and are rioting and committing treason to protect illegal alien murderers, rapists, child abusers and more.
His only defense is "Tell me this specific person!" Because he knows that Democrats are now opposed to any and all deportations of anyone, no matter how violent, no matter how anti-american.
After all, it would be hard for any illegal alien to be more anti-American than a Democrat from Minneapolis is right now. And sadly, we cannot deport most of them.
