“…We all remember what went down. Fauci played the patronizing scientist. The legacy media enforced the talking points. Big Tech censored any dissent. The establishment insisted the virus emerged from some Wuhan wet market and treated anyone who questioned that tale like a threat to democracy.
Patel then pointed out the bombshell that dropped just weeks ago. According to him, former CIA Director Gina Haspel “authorized six case officers and intelligence analysts to be paid off so that they would change their assessment on COVID originations.”
All of my crew were in town today so we had our Thanksgiving feast this afternoon. I’m not the biggest fan of turkey, but I absolutely love all the sides. We had two casseroles: yellow squash and green bean, plus rice, cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, and homemade yeast rolls. I made smoked oyster spread for an appetizer. And Bloody Mary’s… :)
I think the Epstein files include evidence of Trump's misdeeds. It is not likely that Trump is a pedophile but he undoubtedly, and prolifically, cheated on his wife. I think he's scared that his wife will be left with no choice but to leave him.
Going over and reviewing SNL Season 5. Listening to podcasts about the Season. Noted:
1) Podcasters really hate Chevy Chase 2) Harry Shearer is incredibly bland and mediocre. 3) Garrett didn't step up when given more airtime 4) Father Guido Sarduchi is horrible. 5) SNL was really getting by on built up Goodwill. Good thing there was no season 6.
When people remember how great the original Season 1-5 SNL was, they're really talking about Seasons 2-4, and the last part of Season 1. SNL took a while to get into the groove, and Season 5, without Belushi and Ackroyd just isnt that good.
Podcasters in seasons 1-4 constantly bitched about how "The girls" didn't enough airtime, and quote people about what a boys club it was. Well, in Season 5, Gilda, Jane, and Lorraine get a lot more airtime. There's only 1 male star - Bill Murray. And guess what? The girls don't really do much.
“Some Republicans are openly defying US President Donald Trump over files related to the late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The growing rift in Trump’s base over Epstein comes at a politically fraught time for Republicans: Conservatives have been sparring over antisemitism accusations following Tucker Carlson’s interview with white nationalist Nick Fuentes, spurring questions about the MAGA movement’s trajectory.”
It's really fun to see the experts at work. All the right people are clutching their prayer beads, white-knuckled, chanting their mantras, frantically pawing at the prayer wheels... Excellent.
Notice how these lefties never have positive subjects , e.g., policies, or approaches leading to problem resolution to share with other commenters. It’s non-stop rumor-mongering, attempts at spreading dissension, half-truths and, more often, outright lies.
It’s pathetic and indicative of a lack of character, morals or ethics.
“President Trump now says that House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files "because we have nothing to hide.”
Trump noted in the lengthy post that the Justice Department now has an additional investigation focused on Democrats who knew the convicted sex offender, at his request.”
Ahhhh, is this where the DOJ says that the Epstein files can’t be released now because of a “new” investigation?
"Jaq said... You basically had to be a moron to believe them, though."
I watched people self-moronize, like watching a car pileup in slow-motion. In February I was talking with a bunch of colleagues and it seemed obvious to everyone that a new pathogen coming from a place with a Level 4 Biosafety lab was very likely to be a research accident. We were sharing stories about how much people from Communist countries suck at lab safety (100% of the accidents in one building in one colleagues grad school were caused by people who'd grown up in the USSR, China, or Poland) because they automatically try to hide the problem rather than fix it, etc., etc., and agreed that it was too big a coincidence. A few days later, I watched some of the same people vehemently argue the idea they had been suggesting with NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that they'd changed their minds. It was as if they'd brainwashed themselves into not remembering their words in an animated, laughter-filled conversation less than a week before. These same three people all became zealous "debunkers." I've known them for years and they're not stupid. I feel a bit rattled thinking about this, because it was so weird. I will note that all three are a bit older than I am, definitely Boomers, not GenX, so maybe this is just another example of that generation's lifelong tendency of mindlessly believing the pretty people who talk on TV, but damn it was disturbing to see first-hand. (Also, why are there not hearings, criminal charges, and highly publicized trials for all the people who colluded to lie about covid origins. There's an email trail, for God's sake. Fauci may have a pardon, but the others don't and should at the very least have their careers destroyed by their labs being made ineligible for federal funds. There's plenty of other researchers who could use the money and aren't documented liars.
Shorter lefty commentator: How can you worship that man Trump? Can’t you see he’s imperfect?
Answer: We don’t “worship” him and we absolutely get his imperfections. But we’ve lived under the presidencies of Obama and Biden, and we’ve had the opportunity to contemplate the possible presidencies of Harris and Hillary Clinton. No thank you. “Imperfect” doesn’t begin to describe how terrible they are.
I have been saying for over a year now that the problem for the Republican Party is that Trump voters are just that — Trump voters. They are not (yet) Republican voters. How to make them Republican voters is something they have to work out (and work on). Fortunately the Democrats are helping.
So Iman and Prof Drout believe all that bullshit that that Kash Patel spit out on the Glenn Beck show about Gina Haspel who served as Trump's CIA director. Whatever she knew about the origins of the Covid virus is likely speculation. If anybody was paying anybody off for any purpose, it was Kashyap himself, since this made up tale was unknown to anyone until Patel said it. He has always has been a crook.
MTG is a mystery to me. We move in some of the same circles. While I'm not in her district, I know it very well: my parents and brother lived and died there, and I've spent a lot of time there and done a lot of political work in the district for decades. I know all the players very well. Too well.
At first she horrified me -- intellectually, aesthetically, in her behavior, and her style. I'm used to far less confrontational, more maternal, feminine, religious, soft-spoken steel magnolias in our movement.
But she never backed down, and she learned DC very, very fast. She's definitely not stupid. She's also not deceptive, and her commitments and behavior aren't an act on her part.
This isn't an endorsement. She's still not my cup of tea, to say the least. I especially worry about the company she keeps. But she is consistent. She is saying some things that need to be said, including, but not predominently, about how females and most men are treated by the Georgia GOP -- and DNC -- and the Left. My jury is still out. But I'm paying attention now.
In a sharp reversal, President Donald Trump said late Sunday that House Republicans should support a measure that would require the Justice Department to release the information it has related to its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — a move that came after key lawmakers said support was building ahead of a closely watched vote.
The obvious answer to why the change likely comes from assurances that a vote will not be held in the Senate which will squelch the release of already doctored records held by the DOJ.
CIA records have never been mentioned in previous reporting, but wiil likely never be revealed because many of the world's oligarchs and billionaires have had relationships with Epstein, who likely worked with them through Mossad and the CIA.
The hive mind is a terrible thing the 2019 wargame where the marrative was set (ht michael senger) with all the major players probably cemented the rules
I concur on mtg greenes utility but she is trying to bargain with the people that swatted her seven times (thats not going to work)

The FBI collected a metric sh*t ton of evidence from Epstein's residences. There would have been extensive, chain-of-custody lists. The first thing they should release are these lists. I can't see a way for a court order to prove they need to be redacted if they're just lists of evidence, even if they include names. The second thing that should be released is the present location of every piece of evidence, including all the videotapes. In my view, this will immediately reveal any evidence of tampering, or expose it to potential discovery.

"The Nov. 10 incident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, played out at around 10:30 pm outside a home in the 32000 block of Daybrook Terrance in Temecula.
Lawyer Greg Kirakosian, who represents the boy and his family, told KTLA that the 17-year-old was driving home after dropping a friend off down the street when he saw the suspect, identified by investigators as Gerardo Rodriguez, pointing a gun at his vehicle, demanding he pull over.
"In footage of the incident obtained by KTLA, the 45-year-old is seen pulling a gun from his waistband as he walked up the street, pointing it at the teen’s truck and demanding he stop the vehicle while reportedly brandishing his badge.
“Freeze, police,” Rodriguez shouts. “Put the car in f****** park. Get out of the car. Turn it off, get out. You’re speeding in the f****** neighborhood. Come over here, sit down, get your a** down. You have a driver’s license?”
Charges are assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment, and assault by a public officer.
It's possible this is just get off my lawn x badge muscles.
It's also possible the ICE guy has had suspicious vehicles in the neighborhood before, is aware of anti-ICE doxxing, and had reasonable suspicion to believe the driver was engaged in some kind of threats on a federal officer.
I wonder if Noem is going to back him up. Even if he's completely wrong, MAGA has adopted the Dem doctrine of never admitting your people are in error. CC, JSM
Interesting Trump press conference today. Grocery prices never lower, ICE only arresting the worse of the worse, and between other lies, he refused to say if he’d sign a bill to release the Epstein files.
This guy is hilarious. I opened my phone early today and saw the Maria Bartolaroma (something like that) in back and forth with Scott Bessent about how cows were infected and immigrants were bringing them across the border and therefore making beef prices higher! I had to double check to see if this was AI. Nope this fella was dead serious and I couldnt even see the tin foil hat. I was waiting for Maria to ask Bessent how much Coyotes were getting for cattle crossing, never got to it. The righties will go for this because its all true,,these people are great part of the Kakistocracy along with MTG and RFK JR AND THE rest of the show .WOW.. They are eating the dogs and cats and now they are bringing the infected cows over the border to raise beef prices. Do you listen to yourself?

Brava, Althouse. Third photo especially. Do you adjust the format at the shoot, or do you crop afterwards?
