You dont see the same thing in Russia-Ukraine. The Ukrainian secret agents have assassinated Russian military leaders, the daughters of Russian writers, and tried to kill Putin and members of his circle. The Russians however, have retaliated.

Trump has promised Arab and Muslim leaders that he will never allow Israel to annex Judea and Samaria. Trump is no friend of Israel. It's time they ignored him, and tell him to go to hell.

Hamas initiated this war by invading Israel, killing thousands (virtually all civilians, and including a multitude of women and children not as collateral damage from a bombing, but directly, face-to-face) and taking and continuing to hold hostages. Israel is not the party responsible for the state of war.
Since hostilities began, Hamas has not made a single deal with Israel, so I don't know what you think Israel "broke." Hamas' "negotiators" are military leaders and are fair game in a war situation (and certainly a fairer target than civilian women and children, as targeted by Hamas).

"RCOCEAN II " gets to come here and share his thoughts and sympathies for Hamas. He is certain they are an honorable and honest and peace loving group or he is as depraved as they, I'm not sure which.
Perhaps someday he will have to negotiate with people who want to kill him and his entire family and have declared they will never stop, no matter what he offers them. He might gain some clarity, but I'm not sure that would shake his confidence in his hatred for the Jews.
What's in it for Hamas? They can take their billions and go somewhere else, possibly rebrand and return.
I haven't read the 20 points of the agreement, would hope that it provides Hamas leadership a percentage of the merchadise licensing fees.

The war there produced two million refugees. I can't remember any impassioned speeches at the UN or the Oscars about what a brute Assad was.......ISIS in their war against the Yakuzis killed the women who couldn't serve as sex slaves and crucified (crucified!!!!) some of the males. Hamas was pressed for time, but I can't imagine they'd treat the Israelis any better than ISIS treated the Yakuzis. They would go all medieval on the Israelis, so I can see why the Israelis are going all Curtis Lemay on them.

First point is partly true, but they only kill the leaders who are war criminals, like the Russian Air Force colonel shot dead by unknown persons while jogging in Rostov. He was the same one who had explained to a television interviewer the best way to maximize casualties when bombing 5-story apartment buildings (aim for the stairwells).
The second point is a lie, starting with the plural "daughters": only one daughter of a Russian writer has died, she had just switched cars with her father, so he was quite likely the target, and there is no reason to believe Ukraine had anything to do with it. Father and daughter probably damaged the Russian war effort more than they helped it. Calling him a "writer" rather than an ideologist is a bit dishonest, too. Even if the daughter was the target, there are far more plausible suspects than the Ukrainians: she had been calling the Defense Minister (Shoigu) incompetent and begging Putin to replace him with her.
Finally, I haven't hear of any assassination attempts on Putin or his inner circle, unless you count Utkin and Prygozhin, and we all know Putin killed them. There have of course been quite a few attempts on Zelenskyy, and the former speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament was just shot dead a few weeks ago by someone who asked to be traded to Russia for Ukrainian prisoners.
In a just world - Iranian people would be free to rid themselves of the shackles of corrupt cruel male-dominated Islamic authoritarian rule.

Reading Twitchy, I'm enamored of the ideas of "Mar a Gaza" and beachfront "Trump Towers".
Doesn't sound like it will happen unless/until the Saudis and Qataris push Hamas to agree. At least that's what I've been reading... Don't know what leverage, if any, the Egyptians have, but considering the long border with Gaza they should be involved to some extent.

The part of the agreement I didn’t care for was the release of Hamas prisoners - 250 of them plus Palestinians detained after Oct. 7th. That seemed like the same old same old.
Then I realized this was the incentive for Hamas not to kill the remaining live hostages.
It's academic. Netanyahu isn't going to allow a Palestinian state. At this point neither would any Israeli leader. Something will always happen to overturn any deal.

I don’t agree with your premise but I would always want a special standard for Israel. It is the place Christianity has its beginning. Can you imagine if Hamas had control? What blackmail we would have to pay to keep Christian beginnings in tact? How devastating it would be for Christians all over the world if the holy places that are so dear to them were razed to the ground?
Hamas can take time out from killing Jews. The jihad is going well in Europe and Great Britain, on US campuses, in Minnesota, Michigan and soon, in New York City. ISIS is killing everybody in Syria and Boko Haram, et al, have slaughtered 100,000 Christians in Nigeria. Turns out Obama wasted our money in Iran thanks to Trump.

Israel has acted in a dishonorable manner that has damaged US interests.
Israel killed the families of Hamas negotiators in Qatar after we invited them to negotiations. This is unacceptable behavior.
Israel is free to kill as many Palestinians as they want. Whether or not they should is up to them. But they should not be allowed to dishonor us.
And we need to talk about the Israel Lobby in congress. That cannot be allowed to continue.
I commented here after Hamas' Oct 7 massacre in Israel that unconditional surrender with immediate military trials of all Hamas members and executions of convicted Hamas leadership was a proper response to that event. My mind has not changed since then. Here's hoping Hamas steps on its colletive dick again and refuses this cease fire. Then elimination of Hamas should continue until they are no more, remembered as an example of why such terrorism does not work against civilized nations. Somehow I suspect in a week the rest of Gaza will be nought but bouncing rubble, and the rest of Hamas along with it.
