You are correct, Diana Rigg was hotter indeed, and a better actress. "Genie" was better written than we seem to give it credit for though. We got a DVD with a bunch of episodes and it impressed me in that it was taking Omar Khayyam seriously.

I didn't have a color television, plus you had to constantly adjust the rabbit ears. It wasn't the ideal medium for that type of activity.
