From the Washington Post, there's this: "FBI says driver may not have acted alone in New Orleans attack that killed 15": "During a news briefing Wednesday afternoon, Alethea Duncan, an FBI assistant special agent in charge, said investigators 'do not believe that Jabbar was solely responsible.' Authorities did not elaborate... The FBI said investigators found an Islamic State flag in the vehicle used in the attack, along with additional weapons and a possible improvised explosive device. Other potential IEDs were located elsewhere in the city’s French Quarter...."

There was a Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside of the Trump Tower in Las Vegas, and it was reportedly rented through the same truck sharing app as the New Orleans truck. The CyberTruck was rigged to explode. You can see that the explosion included fireworks.

The "this will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it" phase is long over. The "things are out of control and you're unlucky to have to live through it" phase is the one you currently occupy.
We should stop creating these terrorist organizations as tools of our foreign policy. They are not all that easy to control, as we learned on 9-11. We should also stop laying waste to countries on the other side of the world as a tactic in our global strategy to maintain American primacy at all costs. It pisses them off.

In a fit of rage, a car killed 15 and wounded 30 while armed with a gun...at least according to the AP. It isn't clear to the AP at this time whether or not the car purchased the gun legally, or if the car even had a valid driver's license.

A photo I saw of the truck with the ISIS flag shows the flag pole at the front left side of the pickup bed right behind the driver.
I hadn’t been aware that the Ford truck used in New Orleans was an EV. Are they cheaper to rent than gas-powered F150s? Was it chosen because EVs are quiet and thus there was little to no warning to the people celebrating in the street? Were they originally planning to fill the truck bed with explosives in the expectation that the lithium battery would give the explosion some oomph (like the Tesla in Las Vegas)? Lots to speculate about.

The flag was attached to the back of the truck using a pvc pipe. It’s unclear from video if it was tied to conceal it during the attack or if our forces actually paused in the middle of a live terrorist attack to obscure it from view by wrapping it up. If it’s the second, that should be exposed.

This is another reason these crimes will not be counted by the FBI stats as religious or nationality hate crimes. It would show that it is Muslims who commit all the hate crimes during and after Muslim terrorist events. The single most deadly hate crime in the history of these laws was 9/11. 3000 immediately dead due to religious/nationality hate, plus countless more have died from cancers acquired clearing the site.

Unfortunately, I have zero belief that will happen. There is no political will to stand up to the hate crimes industry on either side of the aisle.
"Strapped to the rear" can mean strapped to some part of the truck bed, like the rear corner where there are frequently attachment points for straps. This location in pickup truck lingo is considered "in the vehicle" by some people less concerned with clarity, who should clarify "in the truck bed" or "in the truck cab" or attached to the (front or rear) bumper" or "attached to the trailer hitch.". A gooseneck trailer is also attached in the truck bed, but is not strapped to the rear, like a normal trailer, which is attached to the truck hitch below the rear bumper. Pedants take note, this level of detail is only important with truck trailer attachment to pickups, not terrorist flags, whose presence anywhere with the truck bringing it there is a statement of terrorist affiliation. See pro-Palestinian protests for similar examples of terrorist signage and symbols in use as terror props.
