I love listening to loons. Very calming.
You still got ‘em? I’ve been wondering why they aren’t here…This morning we did see a V formation headed south so some of the migrants are moving…
What a terrific soundscape ! The various calls of the loon are among my top all-time favorite bird songs.
Very nice, very peaceful.

Our loons at the lake in Maine wait until late November to migrate to the warmer waters on the Atlantic coast. I wonder where the Mendota loons go?
Do loons take up residence on Mendota for the summer or is this loon in transit from up north to down south?
Looney.
