Yes, C. squamosus. (Formerly Polyporus squamosus... ) Edible if you catch it early enough. Never toxic, but once the caps are as tough as leather, it eats like leather. I find the flavor is brought out nicely by a splash of apple cider vinegar after they've been sauteed.

The app I used suggested Cerioporus squamosus — dryad's saddle — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerioporus_squamosus
Also called "pheasant's back mushroom."

Looks like AA's head is growing out of the mushroom. Not a very intelligent comment, but hey, it's Saturday...
Does Meade have a beverage in his pocket?
Mushroom World.

I was thinking one of those starched collars from the 1600s that didn't come out of the laundry right.
Looks like Meade has a can of Copenhagen Snuff in his pocket.

It's pretty much what I thought... like I was crawling out of it... or some sort of toad perched on top.

The makeup can be done in 5 seconds. It's called lipstick.

Ha ha. That's also something Meade and I thought of.
Tractor seat musroom.
Skoal®, bro!

The center focus and subject matter of Meade's photography is consistent. He's a keeper, Althouse.
And Meade is in… shorts.
I can see a peacock with his tail fanned out. I'm good at seeing shapes in clouds too. :)

Agreed. Cerioporus squamosus. This one looks too old and tough to eat, but might still make a nice broth if simmered for a couple of hours.
True!
