Mr and Mrs Hawkeye and the dog have retreated to Sedona (Oak Creek actually) and plan to remain here in protest of the never-ending heat in Phx. Very pleasant, 90 degrees and no humidity, with a spectacular view of the red rocks. We will return if the temperature ever goes below 100. During the day.

My wife and I were in Milan Italy in '78, unable to get a room because the trade fair was going on. As we walked around the downtown before giving up, I noticed that some of the gleaming corporate HQ towers were surrounded by unpaved and in places overgrown lots.

Kerry describes how difficult it is to access classified info and here Berger waltzed in takes out who knows what kind of documents in his pants, destroyed them and got away with it.

I think I’ve seen the video you referenced and the impression I got was that he was claiming to have been there as a soldier. But there is enough wiggle room to claim that it was the congressional visit he was referring to.

And I'm old enough to recall the reading contest between Bush the Lesser and Rove--even assuming they read all they claimed, it didn't keep them from screwing the pooch in the GME.
This clip got posted at Legal Insurrection, too. It appears the immediately prior remarks which make clear he was talking about a Congressional trip were edited out.
I recall another set of remarks that were highlighted shortly after his selection was announced that were highly suggestive, however. I think it was the one where people claimed he said Bagram was in Iraq or something to that effect but what he did was segue between talking about how being 'overseas' (i.e. deployed in Italy) affected his daughter and then about attending a fallen warrior commemoration without making clear that the subjects were separated by several years, thousands of miles, and he had left the military by the time the second happened.
