"our kids can do it too" Some can, but not in equal proportions. Level of g is not about "knowing the material." Loury is not facing reality, to coin a phrase. The last couple of days I have been in a doom loop of digital security concerns. Received another notice from another financial institution about a another data breach, including all, I mean all of my personal info, and offering me a free 12 month id security monitoring program at experian. Husband doing same. So we did that, plus created accounts on all 3 credit reporting companies, and froze our credit. Hope it helps. Meanwhile, tried to do a simple mobile deposit, as I’ve done a thousand times. Bank’s two step verification was messed up, never sent the code… tried 3 times clicking “send again,” no worky. Called the financial institution. To verify my existence on the phone involved 5 questions that i have not created. The rep told me I missed one of the answers and told me I would not be able to access my accounts. Point is, all the sudden, I am spending way too much time every day on soul-sucking activities like two-step verification codes, unsubscribing to a zillion marketing emails, dreaming up ever more devious passwords, then recording all this info in keeper. I am a creative spirit. But this sort of thing takes up a significant portion of every day. And I’ve noticed a real uptick in the threat level. Last week some turd called my niece (in her 30s) using her Dads phone Id and told her that he had her dad and would shoot him in the head unless he got $$$. And if she called 911, he would shoot her dad. Panicked, she hung up, found his location on find friends (he was at the office) and called 911. The police showed up and surrounded his office, he had no idea what was going on. So I’ve begun to wonder, when is the stress and hassle of digital life going to rise to such an overwhelming point that many of us just blow up our devices. I mean srsly. I just want to go back to paper. Also wondering if some enterprising soul might quantify for us how much we are having to pay for our layers of security…not only financial monitoring, keeper vault, but for crying out loud my neighborhood pools for off duty police patrols because the real police, that we pay for with tax $$ , don’t apparently do that anymore. Sorry about the rant.
While Fuentes was once a zealous supporter of former President Donald Trump and even dined with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in 2022, the adoration has since faded, partially because Trump tapped Sen. J.D. Vance, who has a non-white, non-Christian wife, as his running mate. Recently, Fuentes openly declared war on the Trump campaign, vowing to deploy activists in swing states for the purpose of depriving Trump of votes.
Fuentes’ disgust with Trump only increased after the former president seemingly finally admitted that he lost the 2020 election, which contradicted everything Trump has said for the last four years and essentially destroyed the justification for the entire “Stop The Steal” effort. (Later in the same interview, however, Trump nevertheless called the election “a fraud.”) “He says, ‘Oh, I lost by a whisker,'” Fuentes griped during his Tuesday night livestream. “So what was the point? What’s the point of any of it? You lost in 2020? Seriously? What are we even doing anymore? Then you’re a loser. You just lost. Then you lost to Joe Biden.” Fuentes noted that if Trump knows that he lost the 2020 election, then he “deserves to be charged” by special counsel Jack Smith for his efforts to overturn the results of the election. “That actually vindicates the DOJ charge against him!” Fuentes declared. “Because the charge is that he knew he lost but he lied to defraud the people.” “So, why did we do Stop the Steal?” Fuentes demanded to know. “Why did anyone go to Jan. 6? Why is anyone sitting in jail? Why did anything bad happen to anybody? Why did everyone get censored? Why is everything bad that has happened to the people that were involved, why did that need to happen if you’re just going to walk it all back and say, ‘Oh, I lost’?”
I would venture to say at least 80% of the folks up in here also "trump won" conspirators so OH I LOST so now what? I know fake news..
Booker T. Washington, 1895: "Ignorant and inexperienced, it is not strange that in the first years of our new life we began at the top instead of the bottom, that a seat in Congress or the state legislature was more sought than real estate or industrial skill, that the political convention of some teaching had more attraction than starting a dairy farm or a stockyard.
A ship lost at sea for many days suddenly sighted a friendly vessel. From the mast of the unfortunate vessel was seen a signal: “Water, water. We die of thirst.” The answer from the friendly vessel at once came back: “Cast down your bucket where you are.” A second time, the signal, “Water, send us water!” went up from the distressed vessel. And was answered: “Cast down your bucket where you are.” A third and fourth signal for water was answered: “Cast down your bucket where you are.” The captain of the distressed vessel, at last heeding the injunction, cast down his bucket and it came up full of fresh, sparkling water from the mouth of the Amazon River.
To those of my race who depend on bettering their condition in a foreign land, or who underestimate the importance of preservating friendly relations with the southern white man who is their next door neighbor, I would say: “Cast down your bucket where you are.” Cast it down, making friends in every manly way of the people of all races, by whom you are surrounded."

In the last two years, I've had to have two credit cards cancelled due to unauthorized charges made to the accounts. The card(s) have never left my possession, but have been used online. I asked google if there was a difference between photos of sunrises and photos of sunsets. Google answered: In a large sample of photos, sunsets will, on average, be redder than sunrises because, on average, the air holds more moisture after the warmth of the day. But then google added something I hadn’t thought about: every sunrise is also a sunset. So when Althouse is taking a picture of the sunrise where is the person standing who is taking a picture of the sunset at that very same moment? And is that even possible?
Was sitting back and relaxing today on vacation and got a text- did I or someone authorized to use card #xxxx just make a charge? It was my wife's card on my account and she was sitting next to me. Replied "No". They had already declined the charge- fraud department are getting very good at recognizing fraudulent charges. So that card is now canceled and one with a new number is on it's way. That's the 3rd time in the last year with this account and her card- that she only uses at the store it was issued for. I use it sometimes elsewhere.
Meanwhile, while on vacation, using a card from the same issuer, different store affiliation, in the last few days I've made charges in NY, PA, WV, and VA. At bookstores, gas stations, pharmacies, and others. No problem- they all fit my pattern of use. Sunday will add two other states and FL. Where I'll be for a week. Makes me wonder if they're also monitoring my (or my wife's) phone's location- and if it's not near where the card is being used... Well within the realm of possibility. If my phone is in one state- and my card is being used in another, that would be a huge red flag.
Inga STILL believes Trump launched himself over multiple Secret Service Agents and grabbed the wheel of The Beast to try and turn it towards the capital building on Jan 6!
LOL
Why did Inga initially believe this farcical fairy tail? Because Cassady Hutchinson, working hand in glove with Liz Cheney, was willing to lie about it to the illegitimate Jan 6 committee.
Needless to say the Secret Service agents reaction to this hilariously moronic lie that only a cultish New Soviet Democratical dolt like Inga was basically "you've got to be s***ing me!"!
Naturally the corrupt committe hid this testimony until much later....but that doesnt stop Russia Collussion Truther Inga from believing baby!
Who cares. You have Fuentes and the Cheneys. You hated all of them. They are yours. We will gladly take Elon, Tulsi, and RFKjr. You are suckers if you don't see that you are the losers you cry about.
Who cares?? You can have Fuentes and the Cheneys, whom you all hated with a passion before they became turncoats like you. YOU can have them, and we will take Elon, Tulsi and RFKjr. in exchange. Since you are the war mongers now, the Cheneys fit right in. If Kamala wasn't as dumb as she is, she would have had Lizzy as her VP but she knew that Lizzy was way smarter than she could ever hope to be with her DEI job.

I'm sure Harris will be asked about this in the debate …

I give up.
Haha, Josephbleau, my comment about sexual appliances was directed to the deviant Maynard, not you. Maynard has addressed me several times speaking of sexual appliances, yes that’s weird.

Josephbleau asks Inga: What "sexual appliances" do you imagine i have?
I’m assuming she thinks you have an awesome car.
So using the new system, sometime my comments show up-and sometimes they don't. And there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

Harris already talked about the important Climate stuff in the IRA in her "interview" with CNN.

Yes, that’s right. If your 3yo daughter likes white princesses, she’s rac!st. If she likes non-white princesses, she’s rac!st.
Everyone is rac!st. Might as well stop trying!
