"Do the American people deserve to be abused like that, Mr. Fauci, because you’re not ‘Dr.,’ you’re ‘Mr. Fauci’ in my few minutes...."

"... in my time, that man does not deserve to have a license. As a matter of fact, it should be revoked, and he belongs in jail."

Said Marjorie Taylor Greene, quoted in "GOP chair reprimands Greene for refusing to call Fauci 'doctor'" (The Hill).

Contemplate the power that flows from the embrace of negative attention. It has worked for Trump, and Marjorie Taylor Greene has apparently decided to excel in this mode.

The givers of negative attention might want to rethink what they are doing. I will, once again, quote my mother on this subject: You'll only encourage them.

Progressives had no problem that corrupt Judge Merchan called President Trump, Mr. Trump. So Progressives, spare me the tears.

But the democrat-soviets insist you worship him and his deadly jabs, and his manufactured false narratives. One of many being the "wet market" BS.

MTG was elected with the support of the people in her district. Let's posit that there's a DA in her district with views similar to hers. Let's further suppose that that DA presents evidence of Fauci's wrongdoing before a grand jury of the people of that district and then indicts and tries him before a jury composed of people chosen from that district. If, under such circumstances, Fauci was found guilty, do you think the Democrats would view that conviction as a triumph of justice and fairness.

The MTG doesn't know how to do the DJT. Trump is an expert at ball-busting, the fine art of deflating egos without excessive animus, a much-admired skill among native Gothamites. The ball-buster walks a fine line between acrimony and accord. Folks in Georgia are seldom that subtle. I suppose it has to do with space, or the lack of same. In a place as crowded as New York City, a man must contend and coexist. Whereas the 14th Congressional District of Georgia covers well over 3,000 square miles; you need not live next door to an obnoxious bastard if you don't wanna.

Sigh.

There's a lot of contempt being thrown about these days, with the impact of bricks at a struggle session during the cultural revolution. I have a lot of friends who hate Trump with every atom of their being. This gives Trump and his people the strength they needs to go on, because it is fuel to them. I have a lot of friends who hate Fauci with every atom of their being, holding him responsible for the deaths of people they love. I see no circumstance where both of these sides will write the history that comes from this. Fauci has the people with the words and the institutional power on his side. They will maintain this status quo as long as they can.

To defeat Trump and his followers electorally, they will have to forgive them and try to understand them first before they can drain any of Trump's power over his people by appealing to their common humanity. I don't think this can or will happen, and their fear of the proles and their champion is the main thing that will propel Trump to victory should that come about. The haters will find the deficiencies of the Trump team to be the reason for their hatred (there are many, tbh), but if they would seek their own deficiencies just a trace they would find much less to fear and loathe in these "lesser beings", and much more in common with them. The "lesser beings" grab the contempt, double the dose, and chuck it right back at the people who insulted their intelligence and their faith. We are witnessing a class war under false pretenses, with no possibility of forgiveness or compromise.

We used to live in a nation that sought a degree of compromise in its politics, but this time we see the need to annihilate rise higher than the need to compromise. I have just about conceded to myself that this will not end until one side or the other has truly been annihilated. Do I have to say that I find this terrifying no matter the identity of the victor? This is not a function of democracy, so don't expect to see very much democracy or rule of law over the next few months, no matter what you are being told. The annihilation will either succeed or fail. We will live in the ruins.

It didn't have to be this way.

Fauci reminds me of the old joke about the ambitious kid with a speech impediment, who determined to confront his handicap head on and earn some money in the process.

So he buys some bags of chips and sets up a little stand on the street corner, with a sign reading "FREE! Chips and Dip FREE!"

The first passerby stops and asks, "Free chips and dip?"

"Dodally fwee!"

"OK, I'll try some . . . wait, what the fuck? This tastes like shit!"

He was supposed to study infectious diseases, not create them. Shut down as many of the Government Grant abusers as we can. The bureaucracy has outgrown its usefulness. Vivek would be a good appointee for that purpose.

If I were the state AG of any state in the U.S. I would be seriously looking at indicting people like Ralph Baric, Peter Daszak, Anthony Fauci etal. for conspiracy to create this virus in a lab and allowing to leak. You know what's weird? Nowhere in all of the examinations, investigations, and debriefings of the COVID pandemic, nowhere in all this analysis is the profit motive examined, and its imperative applied to the timeline of events to see if it all fits together. Any discussions about profit motives, conferred indemnities from future liabilities, royalties, all of that - when the topic is raised, the subject gets changed. Odd, that.

I never got the shot, but I fully accept that this therapeutic (not vaccine) saved quite a few lives that otherwise may have been lost because of comorbidities or other precarities. But the size and extent of the public policy malfeasances and transgressions far overshadow the effect of the pandemic, in my opinion, and the energy being poured into stalling investigation seems to confirm this implicitly.

Kung Flu death rate in China was 3/million population.

In the US it was 3500/mm (or so, from memory)

Did anyone ask Fauci why such a huge, 1000:1 discrepancy? Has anyone ever explained it? Not that I have ever seen.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. The Chinese underreported their deaths. I think that is entirely possible. I know we over reported ours.

Wouldn't RICO be more applicable? I think a good case could be made for prosecuting Dr. Fauci for conspiring to exacerbate COVID-related deaths.

Apparently there's an effort to prosecute DJT under RICO for "election interference." As far as prosecuting DJT for election interference, that's laughable when the people pushing for it are provably guilty of election manipulation.

Agree with MadTownGuy. Add to the list Dr. Moren, who developed a scheme to hide communications from the public. That should be enough for any reasonable prosecutor to go after him. Claiming people who never got the vaccine and never got Covid killed people is abhorrent from Fauci, who got vaccinated and got Covid afterwards. He was spreading the disease.
