"People are being asked to stay away from the Randall Park neighborhood in Eau Claire as they look for a man wanted for homicide.

Eau Claire Police Chief Matt Rokus told media Tuesday they are looking for Jerome Jacobs, who is wanted by the Madison Police Department for homicide.

Rokus said Jacobs was seen by police in Eau Claire but when police tried to stop him he crashed his car and ran away. He is potentially armed.

Rokus did not say what homicide Jacobs is wanted for, but said it is not the recent rooftop shooting over this past weekend.

Jacobs was seen wearing all blue clothing. Rokus said not to approach him if seen, and to contact authorities immediately at 715-839-4972. "
