"The House Judiciary Committee voted on Wednesday along party lines to hold Hunter Biden, the president’s son, in contempt of Congress..."

"... hours after he surprised Republicans by appearing unannounced on Capitol Hill, prompting a partisan free-for-all. The 23-to-14 vote sends the matter to the full House, which is controlled by Republicans.... The day began with a dramatic twist: the unexpected arrival of the younger Mr. Biden, who has repeatedly offered to testify publicly in the impeachment inquiry but refused to be interviewed behind closed doors, in the Oversight Committee’s hearing room.... Democrats on the panel urged the Republicans who control it to let Mr. Biden testify right then and there, but G.O.P. lawmakers insisted he must submit to a closed-door deposition as ordered by their subpoena.... 'You are the epitome of white privilege, coming into the Oversight Committee, spitting in our face, ignoring a congressional subpoena to be deposed,' [Representative Nancy] Mace said to Mr. Biden as he sat in the audience. 'What are you afraid of? You have no balls.'..."
In the last Congress, when Democrats controlled the House, the chamber voted to refer four recalcitrant witnesses for contempt charges after they did not cooperate with the special House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.... The U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., ultimately charged two of those witnesses, Stephen K. Bannon and Peter Navarro, both of whom were convicted but are appealing their cases. Criminal contempt charges carry a maximum sentence of one year in prison, as well as a fine of up to $100,000....

Why on earth would a White Republican say something so stupid? His privilege has nothing to do with his Whiteness, you idiot. It has only to do with his political affiliation and, of course, with the place where his father works.

8 RINO's (including 3 that are retiring) helped stop the Impeachment of the DHS Secretary for refusing to enforce the immigration laws or secure the border.

Incuded were 3 from California - Tom McClintock is one of them. I remember him from the 90s. I guess he was another fake pretending to be conservative.

Anyway, these 8 have all been bought off, and will stop any contempt resolution from passing for Hunter Biden.

Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) said to Hunter Biden who was an audience member: "What are you afraid of? You have no balls."

Are we to believe that she has not seen the dick pics of President Biden's failson, whose genitalia is bigger than that of the average bear and has been publically displayed illegally by Comer's committee.

One constant: The GOP will always accuse others of their misdeeds. They are the living example of psychological projection every time they open their mouths. Be assured if they claim you did it, they've done it.

Using Alinsky Rules, citing the exact same thing the (D) Party folks would use against any (R) in the same situation.

As clean as an adult who fucked his brother’s widow can be. Not a high standard.

If I was a Congressperson of either party, I'd vote to hold Hunter in contempt on general principle. I'd do it to protect the perquisites given to the House under the separation of powers and to let the Executive branch know in no uncertain terms that the Legislative branch is not to be fucked with, especially by the worthless family members of the head of the Executive branch.

But, that, of course, requires principles and the understanding that what goes around, comes around, both of which seem to be in short supply in DC right now.

A leftist just wrote that. Without even a hint of irony.

You can't publicly, illegally display something that's already been publicly displayed, nardhead.

I remember Ollie North, who also refused to be deposed before testifying, and all I can say is Lloyd Bentsen sure made a great one liner about Dan Quayle back in the day, didn't he?

POTUS on indicting for contempt of Congress:
In October 2021, Biden called on the Department of Justice to prosecute people who defy congressional subpoenas while discussing the select committee’s Jan.6 Capitol Hill investigation.
“I hope that the committee goes after them and holds them accountable criminally,” Biden told former CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins.

His comments came at a time when the House voted to hold former Trump White House strategist Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress after he defied a subpoena from the Jan. 6 committee.

Ice Nine, IMO it’s because she’s stupid and has poor political instincts and she has a mission to give self identified “Christians” a bad reputation by being overtly sexual for no apparent reason. In this instance she’s also missing the opportunity to identify his actual indemnifying characteristic, which is son of a Pol with a D after his name. It’s Democrat Privilege not color. Don’t use Leftist language if you don’t understand the vocabulary or what side you’re on.

She’s our AOC in soooo many ways.
