No words!

So, I'll use this as a test.

Suddenly (or so it seems to me) I have to sign in to make the comment go.

Joe Biden is now floating a "Remain in Texas" policy, preventing border crossers from reaching the sanctuary cites like Martha's Vineyard and NYC that don't actually want them.

YouTube: When choosing "the right side of history" means everything... or something.

I try to devise for myself what motivation could someone I disagree with possibly have. It helps if you don't demonize.

With this guy, I believe, he believes he is doing good.

Hint: Writer for the Wahington Post give's Hunter's defense lawyers a run for their money.

Matt Taibi's take on the WaPo journo interview I linked to above:

Many exchanges in the podcast stand out, not in a good way. Bump repeatedly tells Noam his problem is that he’s not accepting his, Bump’s, versions of things. At about the 56-minute mark, Bump chides Noam for bringing up things that have been “debunked.” When Noam asks, “What’s been debunked?” Bump says, “I’ve written about this!” He adds, “It’s been debunked in the sense that I’ve already addressed this, and presented the counter-arguments to it.”

At about 1:05 in the video above, Noam brings up “the issue of the press. The press actually bothers me more than Joe Biden…” To which Bump interjects [emphasis mine]: “But you don’t listen to the press. I’m sitting here and telling you you’re wrong about these things and you don’t listen.” About five minutes later Noam again brings up media, and Bump says, “But again, you’re attacking the press, because you refuse to listen to what we’re saying.”

Nearly an hour into the show Bump began complaining he’d been set up, and I know what he was thinking, having of course also been in the position of being invited to an interview with someone who perhaps wants to make an ass of you. I actually don’t think that’s Noam’s game, but even if it were, the answer isn’t to keep repeating, “How can we talk when you keep insisting I get down from this high horse I’m on?”

Bump acts like he and his paper haven’t gotten all sorts of things wrong in recent years, implicitly rejecting the notion that people like Noam have reason to question anything “already addressed” by papers like the Post. If you need an explanation for declining ratings and circulation of mainstream press outlets, this vibe is it.

This has been true for many years.

So Brandon's okay with borders, after all?

Wow. It seems like the people who have historically voted 90% for the Democrat, even if it's a yellow dog, are getting sick of how they are being treated.

Maybe this is why Biden is looking at putting ankle bracelets on migrants, and keeping them from reaching Democratic cites.

Cross the border, get a work permit.

Biden officials point to new parole programs encouraging migrants to cross the border at legal ports of entry, allowing for a faster work permit process.

Gee, I wonder why so many are coming?

In Chicago, public meetings about converting buildings into shelters are turning accusatory, with Black residents asking why millions are being spent on new arrivals while their neighborhoods reel from decades of disinvestment.

...

Federal officials view many of the demands as political posturing...

But remember, Joe Biden's cratering support among black Americans is just a Trumper fever dream.

Both pics amazing. The 7:33 one verges on pure abstraction. If I put that on my wall, I would stare at it all day.

"This war is not about saving the Ukrainian people from their worst enemy (their own government). It’s about doing to them what is being done to the American heartland. It’s about creating another “Open (for plunder) Society” (by thugs living in ultra-exclusive societies). The goal is the destruction of the middle class, population replacement, and the rapid enrichment of globalist multi-national corporate fascist thugs, who will have one more client state in their arsenal to destroy the America I grew up in.

In a few weeks I will make another visit to Ukraine. Another three months on the ground, getting to understand even more Ukraine-think about America. Which is basically Biden is sugar and spice and Trump (and his supporters) are not"

"Meanwhile, the Republican Wing of the Uniparty sits back and says little, or worse, it condones the government's ongoing campaign of intimidation and incarceration. If Republicans who hold power in D.C. were truly committed to the principles of America's founding, they would have spent the last three years vehemently condemning the police State's persecution of J6 protesters, the Deep State's continued efforts to destroy Donald Trump, and the Biden regime's portrayal of MAGA voters as "disloyal" Americans. A reminder that opposing aggression is a worthwhile goal in and of itself. A loss for Russia in this war will be a good outcome for everyone -- not just Ukrainians -- because it will demonstrate that aggression does not work in the 21st century.

Persuading two sides to settle a dispute may be called a political settlement. Making the victim of an attack stop trying to fight back and just accept its fate is more properly called complicity in abuse.

There's tens of millions in graft being made over the war in Ukraine. How many third party corporations have been made just to filter the money into accounts owned by politicians? You know why the response to the fire in Lahaina has been so awful. Not enough money to be made out of it. Thayt's why the residents have been offered a paltry $700.00 and the state of Hawaii is threatening to take their property for emanent domain. The land is worth more than the residents lives.

I couldn’t continue that video/interview any longer. Listening to the high pitched whine of elitism from Me Bumps sets my teeth on edge. Kudos to you, Lem. The other guy, though obviously exasperated, is very patient. His contact for finding “the smartest guy on the opposite side of the issue” lied.

How tiring.

@ wendybar:

What a dope. Navarro was so cocky and arrogant, completely convinced of his infallibility by sticking to Trump dogma that he never saw this coming. Reality can be a bitter pill as Navarro is about to find out.

If you dig a little into Trump's history what you discover is that the people around him all seem to have gone to jail. I don't know a single person who has gone to jail. It's not like this stuff is common.

Trump is a perp. and his associates are perps. It's taken too long for the criminal justice system to catch up with him, but I think they finally have his number now.

Interesting news via X. Even more interesting when you do a search for "Center for Tech & Civic Life" and click "news" on a search engine. Nothing on DuckDuckGo nor Bing, but a little more on Google.

Indeed.

Trump or death. I wondered how long it would take for his cultist followers to offer up their lives for him. What will be the mode of death, a gun, poison, hanging, what will his cultist followers choose? Will Trump have to give another speech to signal his followers it time for the final act of loyalty?

Yeah, it's almost as if the DoJ were weaponized for political reasons.... naah!

What is Manafort in jail for that Hunter Biden is not guilty of, as a matter of public record, anyway, if not actually prosecuted by our partisan "Just Us" system.

Why isn't Hillary in jail for destroying, as attested to by Huma Abedin in her sworn deposition, Federal records of her meetings as Secretary of State with foreign donors, who gave hundreds of millions, collectively, to her foundation? Weaponized, partisan Department of "Just Us." Apparently, like Talleyrand, Hillary wold not give you an audience, as Secretary of State, without a payoff. Obama agreed that there would be no Inspector General at State as part of her deal to take the job, BTW.

If I was going to be a crooked politician, I would make sure that I was a Democrat, first and foremost. That way, I wouldn't end up in jail.
