"Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing. There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!"
Writes Donald Trump, on Truth.

Condolences to her sister. Trump's tribute is poetic in his own style. I think Diamond would've loved it.
"Modern day minstrel show".
"Uncle Tom"
The ability of hypocritical leftists and the NYTs to get away with out and out ugly racism is amazing.
Good for Diamond and Silk. Whatever they did, it always looked like they were having fun. And they were never bitter like Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Reid.
Facebook banned Diamond and Silk for violating community standards by publicly supporting Trump while being Black.
The left didn't disappoint in their viciousness at the passing of this friend of Trump.
Facebook told two women their pro-Trump videos were ‘unsafe’
Even the Washington Post (April 10, 2018) questioned this Facebook ban of Diamond and Silk:
=======
Two sisters famous for praising President Trump say Facebook has deemed their videos dangerous.
Lynette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson are better known as “Diamond and Silk” to their hundreds of thousands of fans — one of whom is Trump. The sisters, who are black, campaigned for him in an election in which blacks overwhelmingly voted against the Republican. .....
The sisters’ on-camera style — Diamond (Hardaway) typically attacks Trump’s critics in long rants while Silk (Richardson) chants affirmatively beside her — has brought them nearly 1.4 million followers on Facebook.
But in September, the sisters say, the social media giant began to prevent them from notifying followers of new videos and started to limit the spread of their posts. ...
Diamond and Silk said they spent months trying to get an explanation from Facebook. Last week, they shared excerpts of an email that they said the company sent them on Thursday:
“The Policy team has came to the conclusion that your content and your brand has been determined unsafe to the community,” it read. “This decision is final and it is not appeal-able in any way.” ...
Facebook has acknowledged sending the message, but it also said the missive was “inaccurate” — though it did not elaborate. When The Washington Post asked what “unsafe” meant and what content was problematic, spokeswoman Sarah Pollack replied with a company statement:
“We have communicated directly with Diamond And Silk about this issue. The message they received last week was inaccurate and not reflective of the way we communicate with our community and the people who run Pages on our platform. We have provided them with more information about our policies and the tools that are applicable to their Page and look forward to the opportunity to speak with them.” ...
“We don’t belong to no gang, so how are we unsafe to the community?” Diamond said Sunday on “Fox & Friends,” as Silk nodded and mm-hmmed along. “It bothers me. It’s offensive. It’s appalling. … Why are you censoring two women of color? … They’re trying to become a dictator.”
This isn’t the first time that the sisters (as well as conservatives and the far right) have accused a publishing platform of discriminating against them. They claimed last year that most of their YouTube videos had been demonetized in retaliation to their support for Trump. ...
As The Post’s Elizabeth Dwoskin and Hamza Shaban reported last year, the growing chorus of right-leaning technologists and leaders emerged as tech companies began to shut down or cut off service to right-wing accounts and sites. ...
Facebook has not explained what, if anything, the sisters have done to violate its terms of service or be considered “unsafe.” While some critics are suspicious of Diamond and Silk’s links to Trump — including a payment from his 2016 campaign for “field consulting” and a sort of photo op at his Commerce Department last year — their videos are not violent or especially incendiary.
At a congressional hearing with Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg Tuesday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) mentioned the Trump-supporting duo as the latest target of the company’s alleged suppression of conservative voices. ...
"And they were never bitter like Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Reid."

If ever there were a another pair of equally ironically named buzzkillers as"Whoopie" and "Joy", I can't think of them.
"The NYT explains Diamond and Silk to its readers as 'a modern-day minstrel show' aimed at 'white conservatives'..."
Putting it that way only reminds us of how much of a 'modern-day minstrel show' all of the media are.
Notice how much more gracious Donald J. Trump is toward Diamond than the shit New York Times.
Trump was gracious when he was told RBG had passed away and she wasn't a big fan of his.
Leftists are incredibly ugly people. But it's Trump that offends the sensibilities of feminists...
If I thought Trump could be a woman's best friend again, I would have something to say about this... as it stands right now it's all a velvet fog.
From my blog archive, dated April 15, 2018, "The NYT explains Diamond and Silk to its readers as 'a modern-day minstrel show' aimed at 'white conservatives'..."
I’ll bet you really chortled at that one, Professor. You and your fellow lefties have souls the size of a shriveled raisin.
"a minstrel show" because God forbid a black person goes off the plantation and has conservative views.
The New York Times is staffed by shitty people, owned by a globalist oligarch and is targeted at shitty people who are it's readers.
Minstrel show? The NY Times continues to be creative in their labeling of black conservatives. Uncle Tom is so passé. Why not Uncle Tomette?
As an aside, it would be wise to never put the words "liberal" and "class" in the same sentence.
Based on their respective comments on the passing of this young woman, which of the following would one conclude is more likely the real racist, Donald Trump or the NY Times?
Interestingly enough, the NYT is now whining the FL Governor won't talk with them. Even more ridiculous is their claim of being "non-partisan".
Now I see: Diamond w/a capital D.
God bless her beautiful heart.
May the Angels be her guide…
"I am so old that I remember when most racists were white" Thomas Sowell.
NYT is a disgrace!
The NYT is a disgrace!
Trump address her as human: diversity and minority of one. NYT addresses her as a novelty, a jester, in a color bloc.
Fuck the rancid, mentally deficient NYT!
RIP Diamond and condolences to all who loved her.
Democrats and their KKK, Jim Crow-ways have always been big into minstrel shows.

People seem to have gotten the impression that an article from four years ago was published in response to a death yesterday.
You gotta admit that Trump's eulogy is actually well done and shows genuine affection for Diamond.
Diamond and Silk were never my cup of tea, even if they were quite amusing in the few times I saw them. Still, it's a tragic early death. RIP, Diamond.
Big Mike, you are very unperceptive. I’m embarrassed for you. And to display it on the occasion of a death. Tsk.
Oh No! Where will we get our dose of fake news and conspiracy mongering!
Fortunately, for snake oil addicts, right wing grifters are like hydra heads.
I see that there is another commenter using the name “Chuck.”
I don’t suppose that there is anything improper about choosing that name. But it does seem confusing.
Re: the other Chuck (not me) who posted above; he joined Blogger comments in 2015, per his Blogger home page.
My Blogger join-date says 2012. (Although I recall being an Althouse reader and commenter before 2012. I can’t recall what might have changed, technologically, at that time.)
The old New York Times/“minstrel show” blog Post comments sure were a hoot! I regret exactly one thing; misnaming Senator Tim Scott as “Ron” Scott.
If Diamond and Silk were loyal Biden supporters - the NYT and everyone in the corrupt hack-D press would have showered them with love.
Instead- the entire hack D press showered 2 black women with nothing but derision, hate and leftist racism.
NYT = VILE.
White leftists decide which black people are authentically black.
If black people don’t talk and act the way white leftists expect, they are not black, and hence oppressed and good, they are evil traitors, to be treated with contempt.
Nice to see that some black people push back against stereotypes and racialized subordination.
Rest In Peace, Ma’am.
This is such a shock. RIP and condolences to her family and friends and to all of us, who were such fans, as well.
Big Mike - not sure why you are lashing out at Ann here?
She subscribes to NYT so we don't have to. She graciously supplies us with comment space to pee and moan.
@Althouse, or perhaps I am more perceptive than you imagine.
Guess our buddy Big Mike is about as tone deaf as they come.
Hey, Big Mike:
Any man`s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind. And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee. John Donne
Vicki from Pasadena
For people who never miss an opportunity to point out "black first", they readily rush to disapprove blacks choosing for themselves first. If I was an expert, I would call that racist.
I suppose it's too soon and improper to make this observation, but I think obesity might be a contributing factor to her death. In America, food kills more people than fentanyl. On the plus side, she seems to have enjoyed her time on earth which isn't true of every skinny person you meet.
“She subscribes to NYT so we don't have to. She graciously supplies us with comment space to pee and moan”
I doubt Althouse subscribes and reads the NYT solely so her conservative readers don’t have to.
It’s probably improper to say so, but the Twitterverse is saying she died from complications of having had Covid in November, when she was hospitalized with a respiratory illness.
Oh No! Where will we get our dose of fake news and conspiracy mongering!
Um, The New York Times.
Pay closer attention, twit. It's right there in the post.
I'm also saddened by this news. I was a big fan of that duo. They were a hoot and spot on in their support for Trump. RIP Diamond, you will be greatly missed.
BTW, I agree that Trump can be exceptionally gracious and heart centered. Yes, he can be outrageous and makes some unfortunate errors. But it's so disturbing how he is characterized and hated by the left and the media.
What do you call joyless reid
It’s probably improper to say so, but the Twitterverse is saying she died from complications of having had Covid in November, when she was hospitalized with a respiratory illness.
Well, that's certainly proof enough for me. Even though there's been no official cause of death. By anyone. Anywhere.
But if a bunch of hate-filled leftists say it on Twitter, it must be true.
Hey Inga-
Looks like even the hack-D WaPo is walking away from the lies about Russian collusion.
When Mueller came up empty-handed in 2019, disappointed Democrats still insisted that Russia had used trolls or bots on social media to steer the election toward Trump. Yet, the Washington Post’s Tim Starks reported on Monday (emphasis added), “Russian influence operations on Twitter in the 2016 presidential election reached relatively few users, most of whom were highly partisan Republicans, and the Russian accounts had no measurable impact in changing minds or influencing voter behavior, according to a study out this morning.”
"It’s probably improper to say so,"
This neatly disqualifies everything Inga said after the comma.
Reminder: Don't cross Althouse or you'll get tsked!
Mark and others talk about "fevered dreams and conspiracy theories" of the right. Do they claim that Libs of Tiktok, Babylon Bee, Trump and many others were not banned? And Diamond and Silk too. Do they claim that doctors having valid concerns about covid policy were not banned? If they make these claims out of ignorance, they need to pay attention. If out of ideology, then think about how it would be if conservatives were in charge of social media.
Almost every "conspiracy theory" of the left (Russia russia russia, j6 you name it) has proven false and every one of the right has turned out true.
