So on a Fox newscast, the American reporter called Qatar ‘Cutter’ but then went on to reference the inhabitants as ‘Kah-tar-rees.’

Which is it? Too lazy to search for audio of a native saying the word.

Reminds me of newscasters in the ‘80s saying ‘Nicaraaahwa’ when their only knowledge of Spanish was ‘¿Dónde está la biblioteca?’

Today is the 59th anniversary of the assassination of JFK. November 22, 1963.

Oswald acted alone.

Oswald's killer, Jack Ruby, just wanted to spare Jackie from facing an Oswald trial.

Current American elections are the most secure elections ever, and the vaccine is safe and effective.

Lately all the vavccine skeptic blogs have turned from what I envisioned as the worst case scenario to an even worse case scenario foreboding. And seom, while not saying to actually go out and do it, are saying nations and governments won't hold those responsible for the coming premature death of hundreds of millions to billlion, but those people must be held to account.

And as the numbers pile up, looks like with even one of the shots of the vaccine that doesn't work, the further away you are from the biblical three-score-and-ten lifespan, the less the likelihood you'll get there. Seems like in all first world countries with a high vaccination rate, all cause mortality is not only up but increasing. And it's increasing in the 30-49 year old age group.

And, it turns out that the Prizer vaccine that isn't also hasn't been the same vaccine throughout. I saw speculation about this early on, but documents from Pfizer and the FDA seem to bear this out. karenkingston.substack.com has a few posts about this.

And ever hear of viral interference? Neither had I, but numbers support the idea it's a real thing. So isolating people so they couldn't get other types of URIs almost guaranteed deaths among the vulnerable with or from the dreaded covid. The full explanation could be a little hard for some to follow, but it's here: https://www.eugyppius.com/p/after-three-years-of-studiously-ignoring

Too many people don't understand numbers and statistics. and, they've fallen for the line "Numbers can lie!" No, they cannot. Numbers always tell the truth. But you have to first know what the real numbers are. Sometimes the real numbers don't exist, but the numbers that are promulgated don't match with others. Wins a record low number of counties, yet has the most votes ever in a presidential election is one such set.

A scene in recently liberated Kherson City. On their way out the fraternal Russian forces destroyed the power grid in Kherson City. Power for phones was restored in train station and Kherson residents are charging their phones there while bundled against the cold because the fraternal etc. destroyed the power for heat as well as for lights and phones.

OMG. Guess who else got it wrong with FTX's Sam Bankman-Fried?

Althouse's blog favorite Jim Cramer 😉

In all seriousness though. How can the media talk about interference and misinformation and denier this denier that when they handsomely pay people like Jim Cramer to push frauds and hoaxers every day?

Liberal media blames Tucker Carlson for the gay nightclub murders that were done by a non binary boy. (https://dailycaller.com/2022/11/21/media-baselessly-blames-gay-club-attack-tucker-carlson-drag-shows-children/) Media always blames and never apologizes. The same thing was being said about the gay nightclub in NYC that was attacked with bricks at least 3 times. THAT attacker TOO, was gay. We have a problem with MEDIA reporting emotions rather than fact anymore. They ALL deserve to lose their jobs. This is ridiculous. AND you WONDER why we are so divided. THE MEDIA is dividing us. Don't let them. (https://nypost.com/2022/11/22/suspect-in-custody-in-weekend-brick-attack-at-hells-kitchen-gay-bar/)

Going to my sister's house 100 miles away tomorrow. Just fried two turkeys for their holiday fest, and a duck for me. The weather really cooperated this year, no rain, no wind just heavy fog.
This is my 30th year frying turkeys.

Ryle arguing against Althouse's idea that men operate on feelings just like women do, when men are pursuing math etc; i.e. that feelings rule everybody.

A man is interested in Symbolic Logic. He regularly reads books and articles on the subject, discusses it, works out problems in it and neglects lectures on other subjects. According to the view which is here contested, he must therefore constantly experience impulses of a peculiar kind, namely feelings of interest in Symbolic Logic, and if his interest is very strong these feelings must be very acute and very frequent. He must therefore be able to tell us whether these feelings are sudden, like twinges, or lasting, like aches; whether they succeed one another several times a minute or only a few times an hour; and whether he feels them in the small of his back or in his forehead. But clearly his only reply to such specific questions would be that he catches himself experiencing no particular throbs or qualms while he is attending to his hobby. He may report a feeling of vexation, when his studies are interrupted, and the feeling of a load off his chest, when the distractions are removed; but there are no peculiar feelings of interest in Symbolic Logic for him to report. While undisturbedly pursuing his hobby, he feels no perturbations at all.

Ryle, The Concept of Mind, p.73

(Google finds the passage from any suitably unique quotation, if you want context)

Accountant testifies Trump claimed decade of huge tax losses
Former President Donald Trump reported losses on his tax returns every year for a decade, including nearly $700 million in 2009, his longtime accountant testified. - yahoo news email

I remember coming to work around 1990 past a newspaper machine in the lobby, which machine had a note taped to it:

Please take only one paper. I need this for my livelihood. - Donald Trump

Yah, how many times do we have to mansplain there’s different valuation methods used in different scenarios? This is just for people who don’t remember that angry boy show on MSDNC where the ‘bombshell’ destroyed whatever credibility there once was…

Anybody following the stories about lithium-battery EV cars going bad when salt water washes over them? This happened in Florida as a consequence of hurricane Ian. Salt water is a conductor and it shorted some EV car batteries leading to 16 lithium fires. These are far hotter than a wood-based fires and can re-ignite spontaneously even after the fire has been "put out" by firemen.

Every single rap song that contains the "N" word, should be taken off of the air immediately. If you can't sing along to a song, without losing your scholarship to college, then that song should be banned from the air too. (I am not a fan of banning anything) THIS is getting ridiculous. They really do want to piss people off big time, don't they. WHY are they dividing us so much?? Ask yourself what they have to gain. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/11/university-florida-revokes-white-quarterback-commits-scholarship-recited-n-word-rap-song/

My CPA does. If fact I'd be very surprised if Trump showed up himself. Like being audited by the IRS you never show up in person. That's what you have accountants for. To run interference.
