Here are 10 TikToks that jumped out at me in the last 24 hours. Let me know what you like best.

1. We seem to have found the kid in the world who is the happiest about going to school.

2. Meanwhile, Baby Trump has some problems with school.

3. Ricky Gourmet hits a mysterious vibe.

4. An impression of the vocal stylings of liberal podcasters.

5. Looking through a book of photographs by Joel Sternfeld.

6. The church with 2 mailboxes.

7. How to use the magic phrase "Some people love it."

8. All the things from the 90s this teenager cannot understand.

9. A 1-minute review of 70s fashion.

10. Epic adulting life hack: Accept mediocrity!

#8 - asking the house teen 90's questions. Last Xmas my daughter came over while we were watching the 1969 Dean Martin Christmas Special. AL the big stars: Frank and Nancy Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Red Skelton, Jackie Gleason, Barbara Stanwyck, etc, etc, etc. My 35 year old daughter knew exactly one of them - Lucille Ball. Sigh...

Tie between photo book and seventies fashion. Some of the others boring or annoying.

Loved the little girl going to school. Excellent daddy/daughter stuff. The teenager who couldn't answer any questions about the 90's was simply scary. It exemplifies the Millennial-GenZ gulf. Forget about the Boomers.

I remember to 70s. People dressed badly, but not that badly. Are liberal podcasts really that awful? Never tried one.

#1. Can’t top the joy she displays for going to school.

Pretty funny stuff.

I think #7 can be used to cover #6. Some people love it.

70's fashion made me laugh out loud. More than once. It has to be my winner. Ahhh....the 70s.

I wonder what sort of questions my Mom could have asked me about the 1940-50s when I was a teenager. . . . ."What's an egg cream?"

Unpopular opinion - I could watch Ricky Gourmet all day.

"You look at Kamamalama"

So I watched Baby Trump again, because the last time I cracked up at "Kamamalama" and didn't get any further.

This time when I got to "Kamamalama" I still got the giggles and I had an urge to check my spelling. Kamamalama. I think that's right.

So I had to watch it a third time. Able to stifle the giggle reflex this time and watch it to the end.

Great impression. I love all the Trump impressions. There's a real affection there for the subject, for his humanity.

Some people love it.

ha ha

That's a all-time great deflection phrase.

Not saying I love it.

Some people. Out there. You want to get mad? You got to find them and have that conversation with them. I am obviously non-committal.

I think that would definitely work on your second tier gossip conversations that aren't worth pursuing. But it really wouldn't work on your heavy duty political discussions.

"And then they kill the baby in the middle of birth."

"Some people love it."

"What the fuck? Who are these people? And what do you think about it?"

or...

"And then they castrated a six-year-old boy and gave him a vagina."

"Some people love it."

"Who, the pedophiles? What the fuck?"

I graduated from High School in 1975.
Most of the outfits in the 70's fashion video (I believe) were fashion magazine clothes not worn by us common folks. Maybe 1-2 of them were something I could imagine seeing my friends or my parents friends wearing.

Ditto to sbb I was 20 entering the 70's. I had a paisley shirt with some sort of puffy sleeves like the shirt at the beginning. Wore it to parties. 95% of the rest of that did not exist in my world. 2 college degrees but never was into big cities.
