It's pretty amazing the way the Ukrainian Army has been kicking the Russians' ass. Maybe this helps explain it.

More Disney employees picked up for child sex crimes.

Its not a surprise at all why the Lincoln Pedophile Project, a clear favorite of gadfly's, would align themselves politically with these dudes.

Gadfly you will recall was quite a vociferous defender of Joe Biden showering with his adolescent daughter.

Quite vociferous indeed.

I'm sure it doesn't mean anything....

Yesterday I wandered in these very pages why the Kate Bush 1985 song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) is now in heavy top 40 rotation.

Today's YouTube's algo gave me the answer.

Link to video

Turns out the song is about gender fluidity.

The absolute STORY. OF. THE. DAY! and it goes without notice. For shame!

President Joe Biden is touting his latest victory for the downtrodden working class man. He negotiated a 24% raise for the nation's rail workers! This averted a strike that would have resulted in massive price increases for foodstuffs across the nation! Thus, lowering inflation that would have happened, but for Joe Biden! Biden called into the actual negotiations to get workers and management to agree. He urged workers to agree to this deal. To slit their own throats.

24% you say? WOW. When has anyone gotten a 24% raise? That's never happened. Unprecedented!

Except it isn't 24%. And Biden didn't negotiate it. It's 24% over 5 years. That means that in the next 5 years, rail workers pay will GO DOWN. Since, you know, inflation is currently running at 8.5% annually. So if your pay goes up 4.8% each year, and inflation is running 8.5% each year ... buddy you lost.

But these idiot workers, who don't realize that Democrats are working for one of the world's richest men - Warren Buffet - just fucked them over for 3% of their annual wage.

And of course, Biden's media minions are saying the deal is done! It hasn't even been voted on by the workers, who don't realize that the President of the United States is working AGAINST THEIR INTERESTS to REDUCE THEIR WAGES.

The country is finished. People are too fucking stupid to realize when their own leaders are selling them out top the world's richest oligarchs. These idiot union guys are VOTING for the Democrats who are literally putting them in the poorhouse, because they have no understanding of basic economics.

They're morons. They should be hanging Democrats from lampposts.

DOJ's political gamesmanship at the behest of the White House appears to be... unraveling?

Headline: Judge denies DOJ request for stay in investigation of Trump's Mar-a-Lago docs

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Thursday denied the Department of Justice's request for a partial stay of her ruling that enjoined the FBI from using roughly 100 documents seized from Mar-a-Lago with classification markings in its ongoing criminal investigation of Donald Trump -- and mandated they be handed over to a special master for review.

That Kate Bush Stranger Things stuff and the pop culture professor make me feel old, and for once glad to be old, so that I don't have to put up with nonsense or pretend to take any of it seriously.

I'm watching the Austrian refugee film trilogy Where To and Back by director Axel Corti and writer Georg Troller. It's a terrible print, but the first film does give a good sense of the tension and suspense of 1938-1941. The crummy quality of the image makes it seem that much more authentic and helps the inserted the stock newsreel footage blend with the drama, and even when the film is similar to other movies about the war experience, that makes it seem resonant, rather than derivative.

Probably Blogger didn't, in fact, eat them.

Every comment I post on Althouse, Blogger says there was a problem. But the comments eventually appear (many times duplicated). This is Google's way of limiting traffic to Althouse's site to keep her from being an "influencer." They don't want her being an influencer because she's trending away from the Democrat narrative.

Google knows that the only internet metric that advertisers care about is "engagement." Engagement means: People commenting. So all they have to do to control who is and who isn't an influencer is to discourage engagement. The way to discourage engagement is to tell people their comments won't be seen, or don't work.

Plopping an error message up every time someone comments is a way of discouraging comment.

Kate Bush 1985 song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) is now in heavy top 40 rotation.

The song is about a woman trading places with her male lover who is no longer viable, not gender fluidity, but about human dimorphism, binary sexes, binary sex-correlated genders, cloaked under social garbs. Trans/social, but not transgender.

I've heard that there are over 20000 men and women from foreign countries in Ukraine.
The US is second, Canada is first for the number of soldiers serving there.
Seriously doubt, with the high casualties, that the US would send active duty personal into the war. And it would be easy for the Russians to notice as well.
But as with most things connected to this war, very hard to tell just what is happening.

I wonder how the boards of directors of Meta (Facebook), Twitter, et. al feel about Joe Biden saying today that they are the reason that hate and violence exists in the United States and that we must stop them.

He urged the Congress today to allow American citizens to SUE Facebook and Google and Apple for the hate they allow their users to post on their apps.

I wonder if the moguls of American technology really think it's wise to keep this doddering old fool acting like he's the President, having stolen a fake election.

Just so we're clear on this:

1) Taking a white character, and making her black ... that's not racist.

2) If you take that same black character who appropriated her fish bottom half, and use AI to make her back into a white half-fish, like she originally was, that's racist.

The internet has spoken and this is why Disney stock is down 60%. Because who really defines "fiduciary duty?" I mean come on, that term is nebulous.

Regarding the MAL judge order denying stay. She seems to be annoyed that the government claims irreparable harm when she insists her order allows it to continue national security analysis. But she ignores government argument that FPOTUS can make no claim on 100 docs marked classifies since obviously can be neither personal, nor a-c privileged, nor outside the scope of the warrant.

I think this is the last blog left on blogger. It's Cro-Magnon era technology that they no longer update or upgrade so it's very very clunky. It can eat posts or make it difficult to post. It's completely random algorithm farts and burps. Nobody cares about this blogs influence.

That's really the most pathetic thing about you people. Your pathological insecurity requires you to invent a fantasy in which other people plot against you. The universe and all its inhabitants are completely and utterly indifferent. That must be the abyss you're afraid to look into.

I am seeing even more of these ads for credit cards and payday loans, even as inflation and interest rates accelerate. They can't possible expect to get paid back by most of the borrowers in the face of a recession. What's their angle? Govt bailouts and collateral seizures are the only two I can imagine.

After you type a comment you can highlight and copy it. If you loose it you can backspace to an empty window and paste it in to re try.

Ask Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, Mike Lindell, Trump's lawyers, or even Baron Trump that question.

The shortsightedness of the left surprises me. They continue to think they will be in power forever.

As an aside, Howard, you need to retire the "you people" phrase.

If you were so careful in crafting your posting, then before you hit “Post” you should always end your posting with a (in Windows) Ctrl-A (“select All”) Ctrl-C (“Copy”) — or, if using a Mac: Cmd-A, Cmd-C (same meaning) — or, using an iPhone: hold your finger down on the text until the menu comes up, then select “Select-All” then “Copy” (Android users will have to fend for themselves) — all of which serves to copy the contents of your posting to the device clipboard so that, just in case the posting goes down the toilet yet again, you've (temporarily) saved it.

To retrieve the saved text, simply Paste the contents of the clipboard back into the Blogger window (Ctrl-V in Windows, Cmd-V on a Mac, iPhone: hold your finger down in the Blogger box, then [to the menu] select “Paste”).

Re conspiracy theories, they flourish in a country where the government tells obvious lie after obvious lie. I really think they are part of the strategy, to allow people room for denial on what they are actually doing by sort of carpet bombing the information space with bullshit.

I just watched "Jobs" and was surprised that they didn't make Wozniak black. On the other hand, in Dune, there was zero reason not to make the savior figure black, instead the send a white family to save a planet of black people. That was kind of weird, to be honest. It would have been a better movie if the Atreids were black.

100 docs marked classifies
(sic)

Just give up on that stupid word game because everybody, including Judge Cannon, is wise to it. Information is classified. The notes a spy scribbles on a cocktail napkin don't get him in trouble because of the document format, which is obviously not marked in any way, but because he's not authorized to have the information contained on it.

Meanwhile, the New Soviet Democraticals That Matter (which doesn't include their little foot soldier/cannon fodder boy Howard) are selling books bragging about how they plotted and executed their plans against conservatives/republicans.

But then again, that's Howard. You'll recall that to this very day, Howard still hasn't admitted that the inflation his team has purposely caused is a problem.
