That’s a mind-blowing sunrise!! My husband wondered what I was stuttering about!! Wha-Wh- h-h-how! Wow:0) It was a beautiful, very warm day in the Kingdom- we are blessed.
Got a call from my nephew last night. Big news, they are picking up and moving to Las Vegas. Chicago is a hell hole. They both work for international companies, and both will be working from home full time. There only problem at the moment is finding uhaul trailers for the move.
Blue cities are all about to look like Detroit.
All the people making the big bucks will be finding safe places, with reasonable taxes, and govt corruption at a level not Chicago.
Much like Democrats failed to understand infusing $trillions into a hot market would explode inflation, Democrats fail to understand people were never more free to vote with their feet.
r/nottheonion : South Carolina man dies of heart attack while burying body of woman he killed, police say. USA Today, today.
And in other news: did you guys hear about a pilot who became ill while flying small plane and a passenger had to spring into action, call the tower for help and land the plane? The passenger hero had never flown a plane before.
"I have no idea how to stop an airplane, I don't know how to do that."
I finished the limited series on Amazon, Outer Range. There's a huge plot hole. In fact, the plot hole is the central feature of the drama. On a plot of land owned by Josh Brolin, there's a mysterious hole. People who fall into it are sucked out of their time line and herds of buffalo occasionally stampede out of it. No explanation is given of the hole and its miraculous qualities. As I say, it's a plot hole....I guess it's okay or, at least, I finished it, but that show Lost has been a bad influence on an entire generation of television creators. They are all a lost generation.
This one is still and ephemeral. Your daily sunrise is a good reminder that each one is completely unique and unrepeatable…as is the human person. Ah, création. A wonder.
"What happened to the post on the Politico story about there being still just the Alito draft circulating?"
Thanks for pointing that out. I know what I did. It wasn't intentional (just saw something in draft on my computer and deleted it without realizing it was the same place where I had written the post on my iPad).
Will try to reconstruct, hopefully with the comments.
I've got the post back up — by finding it in Google cache — and making a new post that is identical. But I couldn't get the post page and see the comments. If you have any way for me to see the old comments page — I know there were 24 comments — then please tell me how to see it and I will copy the comments and display them.
Sorry!
I have made the same mistake a couple times in the past and have told myself never to do it again, but somehow, yesterday, I thought I knew it wasn't and was wrong.
Minister of Truth wants certain people to have the power to edit tweets, then gives a "non-political" example that involves silencing discussion of election irregularities for which there is, unfortunately, a lot of evidence that they have taken place.
Random comment - I live in the DC area and have many friends and acquaintances who are federal workers. No one is talking abortion, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, or any of the trendy headlines (and I really don't mean to downplay the rape of the Ukraine). What I'm hearing from the young is concern about inflation; from the middle aged and older is the huge loss in their retirement accounts.
"... never intentionally deleted a post and not restored it..."
That should say: I have never intentionally deleted a post and on the few occasions when I've realized I accidentally deleted something, I have restored it. Obviously, I can't know that there was never a time when I accidentally deleted something and I never noticed.

I finished the limited series on Amazon, Outer Range.
I watched two episodes last week or the week before-- thanks for the heads up about the lack of some explanation for the hole; I won't make a point of going back to it.
"Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCD-P) refers to a person who is psychologically characterized by perfectionism, orderliness, tidiness, and structure. They are completely devoted to observing precise schedules, rule-following, and timeliness...
...People with Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder do not have a psychological disorder per se and enjoy their lifestyle as it is. They often find employment where their personality traits are highly valued, although their personal and intimate relationships may suffer from unrealistically high expectations of others."
Although people with Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCD-P) are prone to frequent tidying, cleaning, and straightening items in their environment, these behaviors do not rise to the level of pathological compulsiveness. Typically, people with OCD-P enjoy their lifestyle and find it beneficial."
Although there seem to be many different types of OCD, the pertinent point is that the Google Scholar search: OCD Inflammation yields 28,100 hits.
Among which is:
Current Psychiatry Reports(2019) Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Autoimmunity and Neuroinflammation
Recent Findings A persistent low-grade inflammation involving both innate and adaptive immune system with coexisting autoimmune morbidities and stigma of infectious events has been prominently observed in OCD. Hence, specific treatments targeting inflammation/infection are a feasible alternative in OCD.
The especially pertinent further point: the Google Scholar search: Anosmia Inflammation yields 27,100 hits! Including:
Laryngoscope Investig Otolaryngol (2020)
The use of platelet-rich plasma in treatment of olfactory dysfunction: A pilot study
Background: "... Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an autologous biologic product with ***anti-inflammatory*** and neuroprotective effects. This novel pilot study evaluated the role of PRP on olfactory neuroregeneration in patients with hyposmia
Conclusion: PRP appears safe for use in the treatment of olfactory loss, and preliminary data suggest possible efficacy, especially for those with moderate yet persistent loss. Further studies will help determine optimal frequency and duration of use.

Until we start taking care of the myriad problems we have here in the U.S., I don’t give a fuck about Ukraine.
But we’re not even trying.
This is a hill I will die on.

My candidate, Jim Pillen, beat Trump’s candidate in the NE GOP primary. The loser spent $11m of his own money. Kellyanne Conway probably made $1m.

Notable that Georgetown Law suspends one law professor for a bad tweet while it does nothing about Josh "I Love Mobs" Chafetz.

There, I just spent a half hour individually copying all the comments!

To say nothing of the hero in the tower who had to talk him down!
