So woke word salad instead of the steak then?

Just a few years ago, I thought the creation and usage of what I regarded as whacko alternative pronouns would never catch on. I was wrong and , sadly, it won't surprise me if this woman's weird and crazy sounding rant becomes a truism for some. She's using all the popular buzzwords ...it's like MAD LIBS...pick a cause and start filling in the blanks with racist, misogynistic, white privilege, etc.

Don't these Womyn know (or, at least; Feel?) that they are making Rhhardin's points for him?

Please Stop! Just STOP! Rhhardin does NOT need Any assistance in his quest to repeal the 19th amendment

I don't think the animal would pick a lion to eat it either, so how is it RACIST?? Animals have a race?? WHAT isn't RACIST now?? That would be a smaller list for Progressives to write.

isn't Actually Vitamin B-12, that is the cause of whiteness and mannism?
Shouldn't All Vegans REFUSE, to EVER have ANY B-12? Sure, that means that those Vegans would die... But That is a Small Price to Pay

ps yeast is NOT a plant, yeast is NOT acceptable, to any True Vegan

The Oxford Union debates are not what they once were. But then, what University in the Western world is? From the horse's ass...er...mouth: Carol Adams shows her smarts

She poses as a humorist/feminist/animal rights activist. In another time she'd be considered a bit strange. Quirky perhaps. Even a bit mentally off. Someone found in a field talking to herself. Today she's considered a voice to be heard.

Apparently the Oxford Union has run out of topics.

"Sexy fishes" at 0:32. When she says this the guy on the left loses it.

I'm convinced your post a few days ago about #fish and #pornography inspired this advance in intersectional thinking. It looks like you will have to take the next hashtaggery step to #fishpornography, or, at the very least, to #sexyfishes.

No longer "follow the science"?

When did that happen? Do I need to subscribe to an email notification?

This is funny, Until I realize that the notion of feeding hormone blockers to children who felt different, started out with exactly the same silly, funny, ignorant rant.

These people are beyond parody. I was unaware that meat eating was invented by white Europeans and exported to the world through colonization.

What are “sexy chickens” and “sexy fish”? Her argument would be more cogent if the debate were about the pros and cons of beastiality.

Comedy gold! I had heard Jordan Peterson talking about this lady on Joe Rogan.

That's the funniest SNL skit I've seen in ages. Did they get new writers?

This was the woman Jordan Peterson and Joe Rohan discussed when Rogan interview Peterson. It was a debate about the ethics of meat eating given at Oxford - which Peterson described as the most extreme/ insane mash up of woke/ PC/ vegan morality / and insanity all pushed to 11. He was praying the whole debate would be released since it showed how divorced from reality some can become attempting to virtue signal their beliefs.

Peterson and his family have severe auto immune issues too, especially his daughter. They switched to a 100% meat diet and found that made them lose weight and minimize their health issues. His daughter apparently only eats lamb. Rogan questioned if that was healthy - supplements? Peterson said no, and has been on the diet for years sad won’t go back.

But they mentioned Titania too! The prefect foil for the crazy woman in the clip.

That’s news to me.

Teen girls need meat. They are at high risk of anemia.

"Anti-abortionists" are evidently bad valorizers of human babies over cows.

I like the irony of a white woman in a room full of white people declaring that meat-eating is part of white supremacy.

D.D. Driver said...

But which one is the problem? Eating meat? Or being white? Is it wrong to be white because white people eat met, or is it wrong to eat meat because that is what white people do?

I bought Carol J Adams "The Sexual Politics of Meat" when it first came out, decades ago. It all sounds familiar but white is new I think, an update.

Mentally ill? Seems like some people become obsessed with a single issue and see the world revolving around it? Something like (if the only tool you have is a hammer all problems look like a nail?)

I think, and I could be wrong, that her issue is masculinity and see she sees it as the root of all woke type issues?

She also shows that her obsession thinking is not limited to the younger generations. Very strange.

The distinguished crone at the lectern has ignored the fundamental law of making people stupider--do it gradually.

She should start by establishing a hierarchy of abominations in food consumption. To start, how about deciding the old conundrum of whether it's more racist for a white person to prefer white meat or dark when tearing into a rotisserie chicken.

Richard Dillman said...

I’m left completely wordless. There will soon be a boom in gender studies courses covering this theory. My wife loves steak and hamburgers piled high with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and bacon, calling it her mix and match hamburger feast. She tells me that she never thinks of a man when she is eating a cow. I hide my masculinity by eating “sexy fish”, mostly salmon, steelhead, and walleye. Where do I fit in this woke taxonomy? Who knew that eating was so fraught with oppression?

Beasts of England said...

I have a slight hangover and am unable to discern if that debate was real or parody. If it’s real then it’s time to return those imbeciles to their asylum.

This twitter account is quite literally...parody. Woke feminists believe every word as their "truth" which is why it's become so popular and hasn't been banned.

Gut bacteria are animals too! Sewage treatment facilities, the very essence of white masculine technology, slaughter billions of gut bacteria in our water every day. The circle of life, man!

And don't get me started on our speciest viral animus. Viruses are nature's trans community; they don't identify as living or nonliving. Who are we to judge, to literally brag about being "pro-life"?

There used to be a child's game called madlibs on which a paragraph of text would leave blanks, and the player would simply be told to insert a particular grammatic piece (noun, etc.). The fun came when the player saw the resulting nonsense paragraph. That woman's presentation would make a great template for an all-purpose madlibs to be used for every left advocacy speech.

Humans were designed (or evolved) to eat meat. It isn’t new for us either -our nearest ape relatives, chimps and bonobos, love meat too. When we invented agriculture, and effectively switched from a decent amount of meat in our diets, to plants. we suffered greatly. We were shorter and had numerous bone issues. We slowly regained our natural height and vigor, as our society slowly became wealthy enough to afford farmed meat. But esp for East Asians, the effects have been dramatic, with kids very often towering over their parents, and Chinese playing in the NBA. All from being able to eat meat.

Such a lovely advertisement for the notion that the best antidote against objectionable speech is more speech. Carol Adams is surely entitled to her views (and kudos to Temujin for linking to her page). It would be a public service if those views got a wider hearing, along with the response to them. If today's Oxford Union still has anyone with the talent of, say, Andrew Sullivan, I'm sure the response by those opposing the motion was both very effective and cutting in an oh-so-Oxonian way.

White meat is good, but often dry. Dark meat is fat and beautiful, and therefore more flavorful. Brown meat should be properly disposed, unless the manner of diversity is engendered by a delightful gravy.

I have a theory. Some people's brains have evolved to the point of self-limitation. Perhaps this is the apocalypse, only in slow motion. I'm grateful for my caveman brain which leads me to eat enough animals and vegetables to sustain myself and to seek a partner with whom to reproduce.

I draw an arbitrary line between people and animals. Then I eat the animals and do not eat the people.

She draws a line that is just as arbitrary between animals and vegetables. Then she eats the vegetables and does not eat the animals.

But vegetables are lifeforms, too. Her distinction lies in the fact that vegetables have not been measured as being intelligent (yet). But why should this be the deciding factor when it comes to, is it ethical to kill something that is alive?

Listen carefully sometime as you cut up a head of broccoli. The screaming . . .

Only if the men of their troop were lousy hunters. Back in the day I read a article where it was claimed that a remote tribe in some jungle area — the Amazon? New Guinea? — had two words for “hungry.” One meant generally hungry, the other meant “hungry for protein.” Apocryphal? Seems plausible, anyway.
