Almost nobody thinks the second thing is acceptable.

But democrat politicians seemed to think it was OK for thugs to burn cities to the ground in the name of 'justice.' They even donated to bail funds for said thugs.

Are you as dumb as you seem? Don't answer that.

I notice in the local paper this morning a pic of Gov Evers giving the state of the State address -- with no mask. Nor were the politicos behind him masked. Rules for me, but not for them.
Someone might say that a mask would prevent Evers from being understood clearly. I maintain that no one listens to this nonsense speech anyway.

So, the good people of Virginia, in their wisdom, elect a new governor, rejecting a Clinton hack. That new governor issues an executive order respecting the right of parents with respect to their children in schools.

Several northern Virginia counties decide to mount an insurrection and refuse to recognize his legal authority and defying parents. The people's representatives in the legislature swiftly pass a new law confirming the rights of parents.

Now, will the insurrecting counties now stand down? Or will they continue their rebellion?

Bender said...

Yes, people have fundamental rights and they should always and everywhere stand up for those rights, always.

But doing so on an airplane, where airlines are given almost absolute tyranny, in the age of the no-fly-list, is simply imprudent.

Want to know how Ottawa citizens reacted to the "Freedom Convoy?" Check out the Battle of Billings Bridge.

Also of interest is the failure of Mike Lindell's fake attempt to supposedly send 10,000 My Pillows and 1,000 bibles across the Ambassador bridge with a driver untested for covid infection. I also say fake effort because Mikey tried to cross the border at Port Huron but he had not been tested in the past 72 hours and he had not had two vaccine shots.

If he wanted the shipments delivered in Ottawa, he could have sent them UPS or FedEx who make sure drivers are legal. But Lindell couldn't even deplane from his jet in Ottawa without obeying the Canadian customs law.

Had an old friend and colleague now living in Montana send me a three CD collection of live Neil Young from ‘71 and ‘78. Great stuff! Just listened to the ‘71 music, just Young on acoustic guitar/piano… getting very wistful about the good, old days.

One thing I know is this: I am tired of the hatred, the lack of charity, never giving anyone the benefit of the doubt, the finger pointing, all the lies and the absolute lack of concern for the lives of our children and future generations. And I know I don’t want to spend these last years of my life with this debilitating nonsense going on all around.

We must do better and doing better begins at home.

Well, a better recitation of the facts here would help in understanding. Apparently, this is what happened: A woman was raped. They did a rape kit on her and tested the DNA, which brings back results of both the perpetrator and the victim.

The VICTIM'S DNA was then traced to a separate and unrelated property crime. It was not the case of the rapist's DNA being traced to some other offense.

The impropriety, if not illegality, of taking DNA from a rape victim to tie HER to another crime should be obvious.

Yes, sterilizing inoculations with years, perhaps a decade, of safety data. Vaccines that prime an immune response that inhibits both infection and transmission of the pathogen. Planned parent/hood, and mandate forced collateral damage, were neither an exclusive nor good Choice.

An election by Capitol Hill "Heroes" h/t Pelosi to abort with plausible, but not probable cause. Babbitt tried, but failed, to mitigate the progress of the riot ("disorder"), only to be aborted by a senior Capitol Hill officer in the course of abstaining and in the midst of other officers. Boyland was assaulted by another DC officer, who seems to have been following the planned parent/hood protocol of "baby on slab". A probable Whitmer event. A day when demos-cracy was aborted at the twilight fringe. One of diverse events in Water Closet that was conceived and progressed over more than 16 trimesters.

Republican donor Benjamin Pogue, owner of a Texas construction company, who once loaned Donald Trump a private jet, only to secure a presidential pardon for his father weeks later, has declined to discuss the $20,000 donated in his name to the Canadian “Freedom Convoy”—a 19-day blockade of international trade routes causing production delays and shortened shifts for auto workers at several North American plants . . . estimated to cost the auto industry and its workers as much as a billion dollars.

But methinks Donald Trump donated zero while causing the gigantic expansion of the Ottawa anti-vaxxer trucker protest. Guess who he says is ruining our economy.

Madman, yesterday someone posted a link to a new word game.
The metric is meaning, not spelling.
Guess a word and you get rating of how close it is to the secret word.(a stuffed bird does not come down from the ceiling) As your rating goes up you get a sense of the word you are searching for.
I finally gave up after coming back to it throughout the day. I got close early on with 'average'. rating of 919 out of 1000. That means 81 words are closer to the secret word. I never got any closer. The word turned out to be 'monthly'. Made no sense to me.

Jaq said...

Some people don't grasp that Trudeau is waging war on all protesters not perfectly aligned with him. You can get your bank account frozen or get arrested as a terrorist for being in a peaceful protest. Tow truck drivers threatened with jail if they don't tow. Imagine that the truckers represented the formation of a new political party--that is now illegal. Calling anyone who protests a terrorist (like Pelosi does) while your favorite rioters go free is just like so many dictatorships around the world. If you make fun of the king of thailand you can go to jail. I'm sure trudeau and pelosi would like that law here.

The pillow maven told The Daily Beast late Wednesday night that he intends to drop his pillows into Canada from a helicopter “with little parachutes” attached. “We need to get the MyPillows to the people!” he continued. The 2020 election dead-ender further made it a point to ensure in this report that the pillows will have “little parachutes,” adding, “make sure you put that part in, or it could be dangerous.” Asked where exactly he intended to drop the pillows, he said, “I can not give the location out, and it is no joke! I just confirmed with the helicopter company, and yes, this is the plan."

If he cannot tell where the drop will occur, the truckers won't be there.

So Lindell still has to legally import the pillows for a Canadian company to drop them with teeny tiny parachutes - likely not yet attached. The minute the parachutes are released, our really dumb pillow guy will break local littering laws anywhere and everywhere he drops the turkeys . . . um, pillows in Canada. Fines in Ottawa begin at a $500 minimum but the 10,000 fluffies will have to be picked up for disposal, so the the charge will be much higher.

Les Nessman describes the drop.

I love seeing Lefties use the "but it was just a conflict of interest!" to describe a tech exec sharing classified information from the Executive Office of the President, and a candidate's private communications data with said candidate's political opponent. As if the DNC has a right to classified info from the EOP.

Even better is the motion to dismiss, which now admits Sussman lied, but it was "immaterial". Previously Sussman insisted he never lied.

Goal post moving continues apace for the DNC and those who brainlessly repeat its talking points.

The motion repeats that Sussman denies he lied, but the motion says the indictment should be dismissed regardless. That's how motions to dismiss generally work.

We're referencing different conflict of interest allegations.
