Signs of affection.

And here's the link to the original comic.

I liked the comic but the expression in the last panel is not what I would have gone with. A sly smile would have been better. Or, God forbid, a sincere smile.

She no longer finds interesting what interests him and lets him know. It's to be replaced by her concerns.

I love it- it’s good: very good :0)

I replaced the Reddit embed with the YouTube version, so you'll see how to get the sound.

I have one of those at home, too but the bad jokes are just fun for me. The inertia to initiate a second relationship is likely too great, so I have that going for me instead...

I showed this to Mrs. DtM. She didn't think it was funny. I better start looking for a lawyer....

I did not expect you to be a reader of SMBC.

Ten years ago on our 30th anniversary, my wife said I needed to develop new material. It was a challenge and she wasn't always thrilled with the new stuff being influenced by Curb your enthusiasm, Bill Burr and Louis CK (may Allah have mercy on his soul).

The wife has to laugh at your bad jokes???

I’m DOOMED!!!

They start by laughing at the jokes, and eventually the jokes become unnecessary, and there remains just the laughter. That can be great, or not so great.

My wife has experienced (put up with) my corny jokes for so long that every once in a while she will fling one back at me, almost unconsciously. It is disturbing to say the least.

It came up on Reddit.

My wife is hard of hearing in one ear and can't hear out of the other.

My best lines and puns are launched into the ether and I end doing most of the laughing.

But I'm also great at physical comedy, so the magic remains.

SMBC is just enough off beat funny for me. One of my favorites is Batman realizing he is getting old and needs a successor. So he goes out and murders a small child’s parents while he is watching.
