"The plumber placed the camcorder he used to record the beating up for auction last July for $225,000."

"Though it is unclear if it ever sold, [George] Holliday said that he never profited from the video...."

I remember that "beating."

Those officers were so poorly trained with their night sticks. They are such a stupid weapon anyways.

If you have to hit someone more that times while they are prone to subdue them you are just terrible. Even on PCP's the body can only take so much.

Makes for bad video too.

And the guy died of Pneumonia, not Covid. It says it right there in the article.

"Holliday reportedly contracted pneumonia and was placed on a ventilator in recent days. He was not vaccinated against the coronavirus, The AP noted."

So this story just helps highlight what a complete farce the media has become.

"The plumber... who recorded LA officers beating Rodney King dies of COVID-19".

God damn it!

We've lost another skilled tradesman.

What is it about People? Ashli Babbitt is more or less murdered and the cop goes on TV and brags about his "courage". Response? Crickets. Then people start whining and crying about "Motorist" Rodney King.

Ah, Ok. So now we're back to caring about "use of force by the police". Got it. Rodney King was high on drugs. He kept refusing to stay down and get cuffed. He was 6 ft. 220. They hit with night sticks, which caused no serious damage, fractures, or broken bones. He got hit on the back and upper arms. He stayed overnight in the hospital and got released. He then got $18 million in damaged.

How much money is Ashli Babbitt's family going to get?

The Rodney King beating was a missed opportunity. There were three other Black men in his car that night, and not one of them was beaten. You know why? They didn't resist arrest.

If the clip had been auctioned as a digital NFT he might have made some real money.

The crappy camcorder and not even the tape? No.

1. His video of police work changed everything.
2. Their acquittal burned LA, except for the Korean stores.

As PM noted, the Korean shopkeepers proved the need for high capacity magazines in semi-automatic rifles.

The whole Rodney King thing was a travesty. King was stopped for speeding by Melanie Singer, a CHP officer. He refused to cooperate with her orders and she was about to shoot him when LAPD backup arrived. They took him down without serious injury using batons since choke holds had been banned. The video resulted in double jeopardy since the local jury acquitted the cops. The Clinton DOJ then tried them in downtown LA for "civil rights" violations and got convictions. Gross injustice. Melanie Singer testified against the LAPD cops at both trials then retired on "stress disability."

Hunter could get more than $225,000 for it.
