CNN is screaming that the President has financial interests in the company, but cmon- they're not even trying to sound financially literate. There's a lot of smugness here in Oregon because COVID's not bad here yet. Everyone thinks it's because we're better at wearing masks (and morally superior.) The truth is randomness. Once it's cold and people are inside I expect it to show up, before the vaccine is available, and it's going to suck.
I'm happy the President is feeling better. I am happy all the people who wanted to see him humiliated didn't get what they wanted.
That being said, prevention is better than drug treatment. Wear a damn mask and avoid gatherings where you are more likely to catch (or transmit) COVID. There's no point in giving it to other people who may die.

I'm a suburban white woman and Trump hasn't lost me. I reluctantly voted for him last election. This election there's no reluctance at all. I know plenty of other suburban white women who are going to vote for him. Some of them formerly voted for Hillary and/or Obama.

At least, if you are a public school teacher in OR you are absolutely screwed, because Kate Brown's guidelines for when schools can reopen have currently impossible-to-meet benchmarks. Which sucks if you are a public high school orchestra director. My husband won't see his students until 2021. Guaranteed.

You misunderstand. The vast majority of us find "simply [sic] courtesy and consideration" ample reason to wear masks, practice social distancing, &c. I wear a mask whenever required, social-distance always, barely venture out of my home at all, which is apparently what we are all supposed to do when not engaged in (approved) protests. I do, however, find the increasing encroachment upon normal life not merely clueless but actively nasty. Cf. Gov. Newsom telling Californians that they are to put their masks back on in restaurants "between bites." It's not just that it's another atrocious intrusion on the only part of life Gov. Newsom can control, which is EVERYTHING OUTSIDE THE HOUSE; it's that it's actively harmful. If you mess about with your mask while wearing it, you increase the risk of spread. Newson apparently has internalized "Mask on, good; mask off, bad"; and so we have everyone brave enough to eat at a restaurant in the first place increasing the spread.
Even the CDC and WHO finally admit that wearing a mask has no data supported impact on whether either party will get China virus. Per them, it’s not predictable outside the medical professionals wearing N95 or better.
So I choose not to wear it except at Costco. Nobody else can make me wear it. I wouldn’t wear it there either except there it’s a hassle not to.
Regarding Fonda, as a Marine in ‘64-73, viet nam days, I want to be first in line. Evil privileged moron bitch. Got lots of my friends hurt or dead.
