Feels like the need to gather in groups and socialize and feel together is both the strongest and weakest thing about humanity https://t.co/Uqui6ahzYQ

If you don't want to socialize, Twenty Twelve (2011-2012) BBC series is good. Office that's planning the 2012 Olypics, various characters variously out of their depth.
It hooked me just in passing with the list of suggested possible Olympic torch carriers including Stephen Hawking.
Most people realize that COVID-19 does not significantly increase your chances of getting sick and dying unless you have very specific health issues.
The shutdown and the panic have nothing to do with public safety. It is all about power for democrats.
Despite efforts casino air quality consistently fails to meet EPA standards. Probably means the safest place to be since covid couldn't survive..
I bet Las Vegas'll do just fine.
The evidence is pretty clear at this point, the masks, social distancing, and stay at home orders have no effect on how many get sick and how many die from the virus.
Open up, it is what the evidence, the science, demands.
Another shitload of people back at work. What will the Donks do?
I don't like to gamble.
But playing the slots is a more wholesome and healthy activity than smashing windows for justice.
Sin City is a necessity. Where else can anyone be dumb enough to blow a lot of money and act the bigshot for a moment? I go twice a year to Vegas for a trade show. I stay at the Four Seasons now simply because it has no casino and there is no smoking on the property. Four the young people, it's hard to party hard with a mask and social distancing. Live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse.
The poker tables will have a lot of loose play.
People are jonesing, one imagines.
Great news, after a shitty week.
Vegas Baby!
Doing the shopping today, I was pleased to see that the masks are disappearing from all but the elderly. Screw the new Neiman - I'll take the old one.
Do you ever get tired of getting bitched slapped Achilles? Half your comments are about how the Democrats are successfully punking your ass. It's like they have some sort of superpower they're invincible there everywhere. You people seem to be very proud of your impotence. No wonder you worship Trump the flaccid in chief
I could catch Covid? I feel lucky!
Looks like a very peaceful protest.
"It hooked me just in passing with the list of suggested possible Olympic torch carriers including Stephen Hawking."
Same as me when old Muleface Griff came across the gulch with an 8 ounce nugget.
I don't think I was the only one who suspected Vegas wasn't gonna be the place where strict corona virus protocols would be followed?
I think this is what the governor was afraid of.
Yep, we are back, and since we have been able too, we have been going out for drinks and food everyday. People are acting normal except where they are not allowed to. The bars and restaurants have plenty of customers, none of whom are wearing masks, but the staff are all forced to, and I gotta say it gives me a bad feeling. The staff look like they are being punished, like something is wrong with them. It really reeks of oppression and unfairness. It just looks sad for them, and we all know it's unnecessary when everybody else in the place is not wearing one. They even look dejected and embarrassed by it. That gets extra tips from me, so maybe they are up to something.
It looks and sounds like freedom to me. I bet half of California is in town tonight.
Sweden's lead epidemiologist admitted its lax policy led to too many deaths.
We had lunch at a restaurant for the first time on Friday. It felt good, but the creep factor was still prevalent. Large room with few tables, wait staff in masks.
As we were leaving a couple families with small children came in. It was that moment it felt normal.
Hearing the laughter of children gave me a sense of warmth and normalcy.
"Say home for Nevada" was shelved quickly when it was convenient. Our political leadership, if you wish to play fast and loose with that definition, seemed more focused on killing jobs, businesses and livelihood of law abiding citizens and then had indefensible rationale for what businesses could open and when. What a joke.
Interesting note, for those familiar with Vegas - or Nevada, is that many places like grocery stores and gas stations have slot machines. Apparently the Albertsons (grocery store) where I shop had people anxious to play the slots there. Still fascinates me.
NV's gov is dithering. Getting bad advice. Failing to fix unemployment. Ruling by anecdote. Making rules that are arbitrary and based in politics? Fear? He told us wearing a mask is about respect.
Went to a resto, for a birthday party, last night. Packed! It's OVER. But our dopey gov is capable of a re-lockdown, if it politically advantageous.
Didn't we learn from Jaws that nature's predators don't honor the human calendar, political or otherwise?
I ate at a restaurant Thursday evening located in a casino, it was about as packed as the mandated distances allowed it to be. A temperature measurement device that resembled a personal video projector was deployed at the entrance - a minor inconvenience, but nevertheless an indication of the continued theater required by businesses under Sisolak's orders.
