"It was only natural for me to document my experience. I decided to map the four walls I was confined in and see where that took me creatively."

Said Gareth Fuller, quoted in "What happens when a map artist goes into quarantine" (CNN). Go to the link to see both his very elaborate artwork depicting cities and his cartoon-style mapping of his own little place. Both levels of art are good, and it resonates with me because it fits my favorite abstract category big and small.

I don't often skip over your posts, professor, but when I do it's usually like this one.
Who wants to read about wealthy "artists" and their look-at-ME navel-gazing?

Those maps/illustrations are great. Hilarious. Insightful. Entertaining. Thought provoking. He is quite talented.

Now that the weather is finally getting to the point you can go outside without an Antarctic suit on....my housebound angst is getting better. I can't imagine being 'quarantined' in a 590 sq ft apartment in a city. At least he has a terrace to stand on and stare at other terraces.

OH Come on you guys!!. Take a look at this guy's work. It will brighten your day and make you laugh at your own circumstances.

I wish I were talented enough to do my own drawings.

Should I assume he has a Pinterest page or something like that? This seems like a smart business move for him. I’m sure he could get a lots of sales out of the later, more generic but more “uplifting” maps.

The jealousy powered by impotence in the first couple comments is a great source of humor. My schadenfraude is showing.

Through the links I made it to the artist's website. There is a 5 minute video of his making his Beijing (CHI-NAUH) map. I noticed he was cockeyed (or wandering eye?). Anyway, I wonder if this "defect" helps his artistry?
