Ivanka Trump’s transformation from a New York socialite who donated to Democratic politicians and vocally supported gay rights to a card-carrying member of her father’s “Make America Great Again” coalition is now complete....This article does not have a comments section, perhaps because the comments would be rude personal attacks. I know that's what I wanted to go in to check for and what I would have copied and pasted here, in keeping with my aggressive and raw on-line persona.
[This is] a change from her original West Wing role, when she was viewed more as a bridge to moderates because of her more progressive positions on issues like climate change, pay equity and parental leave....
“I’m not going to speculate on the projections other people have cast upon me,” Ms. Trump said on Monday. “In areas outside of my portfolio, I tend to agree more with the more conservative viewpoint more often than where the Democrats are today,” she said, acknowledging that to be a shift from the beginning of her father’s presidency. She added, “No one person or party has a monopoly on good ideas.”...
Online, her persona has also become more aggressive and raw, a reflection of her own anger, aides said, over her father’s impeachment.... On the day of her father’s acquittal, the woman who once used her popular Instagram account to show herself off as a not-quite-relatable working mother raising a young family posted a photograph of herself giving the signature Trumpian double thumbs-up in front of an American flag, wearing a USA hat. In a caption, she wrote that the portrait captured her “#Mood.”..

“No one person or party has a monopoly on good ideas.” This should absolutely be a requirement for any political candidate. Explain the areas where you think your party is wrong and the other party is (more) right.
Anyone who can't do that is a joke.
Just did my part in Operation Chaos here in my state. Though I feared that it would burst into flames in my fingers, I took a D ballot and gave the nod to the Bern.
I want the November election to be one of real contrasts.
I tend to agree more with the more conservative viewpoint more often than where the Democrats are today
Lot of that going around.
Aggressive and raw just means not quite comprehending the male outlook.
That sounds an awful lot like: "There are very fine people on both sides of the issue."
Which I've been told is something only a Nazi would say.
That had to be a tough, hard-hitting interview. Sean Hannity. Has Sean appeared onstage at any Ivanka rallies?
It's so funny that one great humor line that Colbert most recently popularized(asking the subject something like, "Donald Trump -- a great President? Or the greatest President?") wouldn't even be funny in that setting. The Trump family has practically obsoleted sarcasm.
I'd be proud to have Ivanka as a daughter.
Don't ask me about any other political children.
Ivanka Trump’s transformation from a New York socialite who donated to Democratic politicians and vocally supported gay rights
Is this to imply her position on gay rights has changed because she's more strongly supporting the President? I don't recall any anti -gay plank in Trump's platform but I could be wrong.
I do know there's lots of fear mongering amongst people who think they get free stuff if he's not President...
But I gotta say that I appreciate the qualifier "Trump" in "Trump Republican." As in, "we're the grafter family that moved in for four years before we were evicted and declared bankruptcy."
Not "Republicans." "Trump Republicans."
Chuck is a fucking hoot.
I reject Ivanka's virtue signalling out of our wallets. (paid family leave, child care, etcetera). She should just go away.
But I gotta say that I appreciate the qualifier "Trump" in "Trump Republican."
It's like Reagan Democrat Chuck. You would know about those...
she's not patti davis or meghan McCain if that eventuality had occurred, I guess closer to tricia Nixon with spunk,
If I ran the Michigan Republican Party, I would kick Chuck out into traffic Faster than any device could measure. Are you still advocating that we vote Democrat, Chuck? This is why we need Trump Republicans.
this is the same new York times that pimps itself out for coked out stripper impregnating hunter biden, as a fledgling auteur, Shirley,
I tend to agree more with the more conservative viewpoint more often than where the Democrats are today
in the IMMORTAL words,
of a Life Guard, from downstate Illinois; that did Radio sports for WHO; and then was a union president;
'I didn't leave the Democratic party, the Democratic Party left me.'
vocally supported gay rights ...
And that changed how?
The only thing I'm aware of is transgenders in the military. But I agree with that because of the health care needs being incompatible with the mission. There are a LOT of medical issues that DQ you from serving.
On the other side of the coin, the POTUS supported gay rights/marriage before Obama (e.g.) evolved. And he's taken the fight for gay rights internationally.
But then I sometimes forget ORANGE MAN BAD!!!!!
Aggressive and raw, is how I cook a steak.
Making Ivanka Great Again.
he (OBVIOUSLY! :) wasn't a daughter; but he was one of the political children...
My hattip goes to Theodore Roosevelt Jr.
How Hard would YOU work;
to be on the beach on D-day? Would fake your medical condition, to be ALLOWED to GO?

Yes, it is an important distinction isn't it? After all, for one thing, as a Trump Republican, DJT has done more to free the slaves than any Republican (or Democrat) president since Abraham Lincoln. Fact.
94% of all our antibiotics are made in China. The last penicillin factory closed in 2004.
Bush banned incandescent light bulbs, the last factory closed in 2010.
Chuck's GOP sold us out to China for profits, and we can no longer provide basic products for 330 million people. China got rich, Americans got poor, all thanks to Chuck's GOP.
Your wars, your corporatism, your bailouts, your ceding the "values" agenda to the deranged progressives, can kiss my ass.
MAGA.
Chuck is a Kristol Democrat.
Trump is a TOTAL FAILURE as a RACIST...
Appointed First Cabinet Member openly Gay - Trump
Nominates First Black Air Force Chief of Staff - Trump
Recognizes Jerusalem as Capital of Israel - Trump
She's a classy lady. and she isn't a grotesque taker-opportunist like the Clinton's daughter or Joe Biden's son Hunter..

Yeah, this kind of thing can turn out really badly. Unexpectedly.
How does it go "A conservative is often a liberal who was mugged"?
yes, like 'crossing the streams' it's best not to encourage such an outcome,
My Operation Chaos move will be to vote for Bernie on the Commie ticket in Ohio primary.

What a failure Trump is with only 93% Job Approval from Republicans...
Per Feb 3-16 Gallop Poll:
https://news.gallup.com/poll/203198/presidential-approval-ratings-donald-trump.aspx
On a serious note:
It seems Trump is taking a minor hit with the CoronaVirus poll wise.
Never Trumpers outside of the MSM, have become an insignificant political force.
Press has been shredding their credibility more and more, and showing their political bias.
Impeachment with the entire Russia Russia Fiasco, along with what was basically a coup against Trump has increased my motivation to vote for Trump. For others the 2A over reach in Virginia is a huge motivator.
"Welcome to the party, pal!"
And I say 'pal' lovingly.
the link last night, tied Ukraine, Libya, and turkey together, current events and the recent kerfluffle,
"Ivanka Trump’s transformation from a New York socialite who donated to Democratic politicians and vocally supported gay rights"
Same as her father. And despite the smears to the contrary, both still do support gay rights. If both also still gave to Democrat politicians, both would be celebrated by the NYT instead of being vilified as MAGA proponents. Which is why the NYT has no credence except as a Democrat Party political pamphlet.
If I ran the Michigan Republican Party, I would kick Chuck out into traffic Faster than any device could measure.
Michigan's republican party is Chuck's republican party. That's why the can't win a national election. They pick the worst candidates and run the worst campaigns using the same outdated GOP platforms.
Now the Michigan GOP chair runs the national RNC.
It was democrats that carried Michigan for Trump. Chuck's GOP either didn't vote or held their noses. Chuck's GOP would vote for Romney over Trump to this very day.

LLR-lefty Chuck's "GOP" (wink wink) has already proudly and loudly declared itself in the socialist dem camp....and there will never be any coming back from that.
Ever.
JAORE: There are a LOT of [trans] medical issues that DQ you from serving.
Due to the suicide crisis in the military, any prior suicidal ideation is medically disqualifying.
The suicide rate among trans is so high that, in a reasonable world, it would disqualify the entire cohort.
Chuck,
Did any creditors lose any money in any Trump bankruptcies?
None that I could find.
You do know that 60-80% of all new businesses fail in 5 years, don't you? Trump started about 100 businesses. About 75% successful. Only 4 bankruptcies.
John Henry

Oh,no?
"'How does it go "A conservative is often a liberal who was mugged?'"
Yes, but they never repeat the whole quote correctly:
"A conservative is a liberal who was mugged...and suffered permanent cognitive damage."
A Lefty was the mugger--but with the best of intentions, naturally.
That “transformation from a New York socialite who ... vocally supported gay rights” is the sort of thing that drives me crazy about the Times et al. I feel certain the typical Times reader nods knowingly while reading this.
Any awareness that he appointed an openly gay man to a top intelligence post a week or two ago? Anyone recall his response when asked what he thought about a serious Dem presidential contender being a gay man with a husband?
As they say at Insty, Worst. Homophobe. Ever.
Insult to injury -- it's what I expect from you, Cookie.
"In areas outside of my portfolio, I tend to agree more with the more conservative viewpoint more often than where the Democrats are today"
Meaning that she does not favor the dispossession and imprisonment of the kulaks.
We hold these truths to be self evident: Ivanka is an attractive and interesting woman. Chelsea is not.....Hunter Biden and Chelsea Clinton are not vote getters for their parents. Hunter, especially, seems to be a dissolute wastrel. Chelsea looks less like a wastrel, but very much like a child of privilege and entitlement. The contrast between her and Ivanka is stark.....Ivanka has a rich daddy and extreme good looks. She handles these qualities with poise and grace. Those qualities can easily overflow into hubris or hauteur, but Ivanka seems grounded and worthy. Dems can take solace and comfort in the fact that Reagan's children are somewhat annoying. Don Jr. and Eric don't have much of the common touch either, but they're nothing like Hunter Biden.

Oh, that's a good one. Thanks. I always loved this recollection, via Stephen Ambrose, from a soldier at work clearing obstacles on Utah Beach:
"And General Roosevelt was standing there," Sergeant Cassiday said, "walking up and down the beach with his cane, and I called out, 'Go knock that bastard down, he's going to get killed!' And somebody said, 'Do you know who that is?' I said, 'Yes, it's Roosevelt, and he is going to get killed.'" Roosevelt moved on and the team blew the obstacles."
Of course she's a Republican now. Why would you affiliate with a party that calls you and your dad a Nazi? Especially when these same people acted like they were your friends earlier. She was red pulled.
Red pilled. I would think autocorrect would know me by now....

If I recall correctly, as of 2017 Trump owned over 530 distinct business entities for tax purposes.
Chuck doesnt know that because socialists like himself caanot comprehend such things.
Why, I betcha he's even got a commie flag
tacked up on the wall inside of his garage.
Better go back via Omaha!
I'm not a Republican, but I am proud to be a Trump Republican, because it means America first, economic freedom, lower taxes, less war, less capitulation to enemies, boarder control, law and order, and did I say America first?
I'm not even sure what a plain old Republican is anymore, but they only claim to have Trump Republican values, while doing just the opposite. Trump has brought a lot of Republicans back to their ordinal values, and turned many into fighters who had previously given up the fight.
I wrote "ordinal" which may lead some to believe that I'm creative and intelligent, because it could work if I was, but it was just a typo. I meant to use my normal pedestrian style with "original".
Michael K: Cook has lots of invented quotes and when he runs low, he turns to GQ, a magazine that was once read by straight men. Long ago.

Chuck, Chuck, bo buck, banana fana fo...
“ Don Jr. and Eric don't have much of the common touch either, but they're nothing like Hunter Biden.”
Yes and no. They are out and proud gun owners and hunters. Not something you see a lot with NYC socialites. Month or two ago, one of them had a new custom designed AR-15 that I saw featured in a gun column. Best was the “Lock Her Up” magazine, which Had the stiffening honeycomb painted as bars to a jail cell, with Crooked Hillary looking out. Sure, there were criticisms about the design. Always are. Some thought that the mag well looked silly. Etc. But the reality is that the gun would have been noticeable if he had shown up in Richmond with it on a sling during the 2nd Amdt protest there, when hundreds were similarly attired.
They talk to that part of America that really hasn’t been talked to by the first family since Teddy Roosevelt, except a little by Reagan and Bush(43). There is a Teddy Roosevelt feel to them, the NYC socialites comfortable hunting in MT. Indeed, there is a picture of TR on the wall in the courthouse in our town in NW MT, from when he came through on a hunting trip better than a century ago, amongst the other historical photos. Indeed, if I remember right, it is right across the hall from the picture of the devastation of the 1901 fire that burned much of NE WA and N ID. One of the few buildings standing in that photo is now my partner’s ex husband’s farmhouse (now obscured from the highway by trees). Roosevelt coming through town and staying in a still existing hotel was that memorable. That is very much how the older Trump boys are viewed by many Montanans.
They speak to a rawer, older, part of this country. We have all of the alpha predators in the county: brown and black bears, wolves, mountain lions, as well as bison, elk, moose, prevenisons (who are the real killers), turkeys, eagles, etc. I often carry a gun (10mm G20 with bear loads) outside at night outside town. It’s just part of life there, and you become comfortable with it. It is somewhat bizarre moving back to a big city every winter, and all of a sudden having to worry about the two legged, and not the four legged predators.
"This article does not have a comments section, perhaps because the comments would be rude personal attacks."
Here's a rude personal attack: The NYT publishes incoherent gibberish written by thumb-sucking idiots who can't even be bothered to collect relevant gossip.
"a reflection of her own anger, aides said, over her father’s impeachment"
And that's how you get more "Trump Republicans." Thanks, Schiffty!
Yeah, the left, who used to be her friends, lost no time in doing their best to destroy her business, call her names and insult her family.
A bunch of feckless cunts, just like Chuck.
"They are out and proud gun owners and hunters."
I don't care about the Trump boys being gun owners, but their status as "hunters" is disgusting. (Their form of hunting: they go to carefully curated "hunting grounds" where they can shoot down big game, not for food, but for their vanity: "Oh, look what I did...I killed a lion/water buffalo/elephant/rhinoceros/etc.! I'm a real man!" Effete rich boys who hunt with no need and no risk, but for pleasure and ego satisfaction.)
Effete rich boys who hunt with no need and no risk, but for pleasure and ego satisfaction.)
Like the Kennedys who hunted from helicopters illegally and then sicced the feds on the hunting guide who tried to collect his fees ? Those rich boys, Cook ?
"Is that's what's called a 'tell'?"
Well, yes...I do like to think of myself as stylish.
(Mind you, I'm in no way actually stylish...I just like to think that I am!)
"Like the Kennedys who hunted from helicopters illegally and then sicced the feds on the hunting guide who tried to collect his fees ? Those rich boys,Cook?"
Yes. They were shits, as well.
(For a supposedly intelligent person--you're a doctor after all--you are surprisingly prone to childish retorts and insults that you imagine to be somehow devastating ripostes but are impotent misfires. Why would you think I hold any particular feelings of admiration for the Kennedys?)
The contrast between Ivanka and Chelsea is pretty stark. Chelsea’s mother was almost cute when she was much younger. She didn’t get those genes. She was always the last girl guys would ask to dance. As guys would say, a double bagger. So ugly that you not only put a bag over her head, you put one over yours, in case the one over hers breaks. She’s been a world class grifter since she went away to college, and if possible, is married to an even bigger grifter, who made money selling losing investments to Clinton friends and parasites. If I remember correctly, one of his big ones was something like Venezuelan sovereign debt. If she had been a guy, I would have expected her to have been running around the world with the Biden, Heinz Kerry, Romney, etc boys, monetizing Obama foreign policy.
Ivanka on the other hand, had a successful dress line before her father moved into the WH. You see her walking down the stairs of AF-1, perfectly poised, in stilettos, perfectly coiffed and dressed, with three well dressed young children under perfect control, making it all look easy. Or a couple steps back from her father and husband to his side, at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Or running a Women in Business session at some international event that her father was attending. As for her husband, while Hunter Biden traveled with his father so that foreign interests could bribe him, Ivanka’s husband travels with the President, because he is his father in law’s most influential advisor. His genius in micro targeting got Trump elected. And was standing at Trump’s shoulder at the Wailing Wall, because he was the force behind the move of our embassy to Jerusalem. It was his personal relationship with Saudi Crown Prince MBS that was critical to moving Saudi Arabia from being a sworn enemy of Israel, to being a de facto ally. And this translated into greatly reduced funding of Sunni Muslim terrorism around the world, along with support of the Muslim Brotherhood. But Kushner doesn’t stop there. He has his fingers in a lot of different issues in the WH, esp involving the economy.
"They are out and proud gun owners and hunters."
“I don't care about the Trump boys being gun owners, but their status as "hunters" is disgusting. They also hunt a lot in this country, including in MT. I expect that their hunting there is more guided than really curated. And that does matter some. Good friend, his brother, and several of his brother’s friends (all patent attorneys) used to hunt a lot in N ID for elk. They were around - I helped put up wildlife cameras where there was elk sign. But year after year, they came back without an elk (they were bow hunting, so it was a bit more difficult). Then, one year, his brother hired a guide, and they came back with a couple of them. It was a little pricey, but out of state elk hunting is typically pricey, with the tags, airfare, etc. It was a good investment, by a guy who makes a good living, but has a couple kids in high school, getting ready for college.
Now if I were a hunter, I would use a rifle, and just have a friend invite me over when his local elk herd is moving through his property by his house. His wife has him pull the screen from the kitchen window, so that she can setup on her kitchen table. But like a lot of people I know in MT, they hunt to eat, and what is better than having a half ton of meat (between the two of them) come to you, and walk right by the kitchen window? In years when the elk have overpopulated, and are causing them trouble, they can sometimes get a couple more elk tags.

If you didn't have your head so far up your ass, you would have noticed a new group of people attending the 2016 caucuses and primaries. These folks were former Democrats who felt betrayed the their former party. Attendance was way up because of this.
I went to your link, Robert, and it makes some assertions, for example that Shokin was wanted out by everybody before Biden forced Ukraine’s hand, that were purportedly backed up by a link that in no way supported that statement.
It’s almost as if the writer was whipping up fake news out of whole cloth.
I didn't leave Chuck's GOP; Chuck's GOP left me.
My dad blasted a hole in his leg crossing a barb wire fence with a loaded shotgun (Never do that!) hunting for a rabbit for the pot, back in the ‘30s. He would have loved a helicopter to hunt from.
Pay disparity is a political myth normalized by diverse progressive sects.
[catastrophic] [anthropogenic] climate cooling... warming... change is undeniable, unfalsifiable, established by models (i.e. hypotheses), inference from proxies, creation and fabrication, processed with liberal license, and infilled with regular streams of brown matter ("fudged") in order to sustain a consensus with observed reality in the near-space and time (i.e. scientific domain).
Sociopolitical congruence ("=") is an exclusive construct under the Pro-Choice religion. Progressivism is a monotonic [unqualified] change ideology: one step forward, two steps backward, not limited to the "wicked solution", color judgments, chauvinism, antinativism, and social justice. Liberalism is divergent. Conservativism is moderating. They should have supported civil unions. #NoJudgment #NoLabels

Really? Because that would be so out-of-character for the left. Why, I was just reading comments about the tornadoes in Tennessee and they just couldn't get enough death and destruction for those red-state rubes.
Not "Republicans." "Trump Republicans."
Which is now 95 percent of the party. Sucks to be you, Chuck.
I read the Norris bio of Teddy Roosevelt. TR never met an animal he didn't want to shoot. It was a thing back then, especially among the landed gentry, Killing partridges by the thousands was a fun way to spend the week end. If you had the money, going to India to kill tigers was on your bucket list.....Styles change. Women don't wear bustle skirts to enhance their sex appeal. They get breast implants. Most rich men no longer kill animals for the fun of it. They climb Everest without oxygen to prove their worth.....There's no great popular appeal to big game hunting and even the fringe benefits are lacking. Most women probably consider it a turn off. Maybe the Trump sons can take up Formula One racing. It's expensive, risky, and pointless, but it doesn't offend the electorate.
exhelodrvr1: "I didn't leave Chuck's GOP; Chuck's GOP left me."
Well, there was only about 37 of them so it wasn't like it was a big deal.
