It needs signs to reduce collateral damage from immigration reform, to direct people to the border patrol so that they can expedite interviews and safeguard children from political and drug-related trafficking, and reduce violation of Americans' civil rights and lives. It needs to be accompanied by calls for emigration reform, but not like in Libya where the coup and sea were bloody, or in Ukraine where democracy died in a social campaign and denied responsibility for a refugee crisis.

They have something like this in San Diego. It's not metal, it looks to me more like concrete. They are wider than a human and go about 20 feet into the ground and up about 30 feet. At the top, they bend out over Mexico about 5 feet, give or take. They are all about an arms width apart and have no crossbars or anything, each piece appears to be individual.
And no one ever goes over or under it.

One of the more entertaining aspects of this comments section (aside from Inga's every utterance) is that the people proclaiming knowledge of law enforcement have shown they know jack shit about most police officers.
I'll simplify that for Inga's sake.
Cops are amongst the most ardent 2nd amendment fans in the nation, they love them some guns (she can probably ask her brother about that, assuming he exists). They will regularly own personal firearms up to and including that evil AR-15 which will often be used for hunting.
The commissioners on the other hand are typically appointees who represent the local political machine (usually run by Dems) and as such are not representative of the actual police force.
Incidentally, if you knew anything about guns you'd also know that most cops don't worry about rifles as the number of crimes they are used in is minuscule. Pistols are the true danger in law enforcement, they're easy to hid and easy to draw.
As an aside I'd like to point out that this is the primary reason the NRA is so hesitant to go after police officers, they just make up too large a percentage of the membership.
