"I always knew I liked him" - Trump commends the late Antonin Scalia for his prowess in bed. DECORUM! pic.twitter.com/Dbq25Nrnyt— Steve Silberman (@stevesilberman) November 16, 2018
Why not take shots?
1. How else are people going to notice how much sex there is in the remarks "You were very busy, wow. Wow" and "I always knew I liked him" (spoken to a woman who gave birth to 9 children)?
2. It's Scalia. Like Trump, he's someone you're supposed to take shots at whenever you can.
3. Because calls for civility, like Silberman's "DECORUM!" are always bullshit. Silberman's not going for DECORUM! himself as he yells DECORUM! at Trump.
By the way, who is Steve Silberman? I clicked through to his Twitter page and saw that he's the author of "NeuroTribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity." That made me wonder what NeuroTribe Trump belongs to.
Here's the NYT review of "NeuroTribes." It seems to be only about autism, not some notion that there's a neurotribe for each of us. Too bad!

Having 9 kids during the ceremony demonstrates her prowess not his.
It’s not civility bullshit, it’s that’s not funny.
Humor is such an effective weapon you can’t let your opponents wield it, even if it’s in relation to their own side.
It’s the good feelings against Nino that are bring tamped down.
Strictly speaking the guy has prow and the girl has prowess.
I do not believe Trump’s comment was a sexual reference. As parents of 10 children, my wife and I have heard comments of that sort for years, from both men and women.
“You must be very busy!” “How do you do it?” “I could never.” “Wow, just wow.” “When do you sleep?” and so forth.
The thing is, none of these remarks are about sex. They never arise from the speaker’s amazement that we managed to engage in sexual intercourse so many times (i.e., at least 10). Rather, they refer to the effort of raising that many children.
In bygone days, it would have been bad manners to make that sort of remark. Any book of etiquette would have instructed you, upon learning that a lady hath borne and raised any number of children, to restrict your response to something abstract along the lines of “You have been blessed,” and not to presume an invitation to pronounce your approval or disapproval of this fact. But of course we are not living in bygone days.
Dear world:
Lighten up,Francis.
Who is the deceased hero? Scalia? Since when are Supreme Court justices heroes?
Rhythm Method.
Heterosexual sex for procreation within your marriage is not considered risque. In fact it is obediance to God, and is highly honored by the sane people.
I bet only a small % of Americans knew Scalia had so many kids yet way way more know about the overhyped workouts of far left lib Justice Ginsberg.
Both my grandmothers had eight children. That is the way it was in their day. No big deal.
In what Neuroatribe are lawyers?
The Sioux.
If it weren't for the leftists inventing controversy surrounding President Trump, the media wouldn't report on anything the President does. I saw zero reporting on the Medal of Freedom ceremony.
I had a customer that had 11 girls. Single births. Never did get their boy. The father, I made the comment about all that estrogen. When introduced to the Mrs., I just admired her parenting ability to rear such fine productive children. When I read this article, I see nothing sexual in nature at all. This reaching for controversy has really exposed the media as phsyco's.
And of course the Presidents comments, make him evermore, the common man among us commoners. The media refuses to understand those things that make President Trump successful.
like Sean Gleeson said; HOW could this be considered to be about sex?
They were 'very busy' taking care of 9 ninos
Trump likes him 'cause he's doing his part to repopulate america

Except for you, nobody said anything about a Hero.
If you take that stick out of your ass, you'll see the world in a whole new light.
Who is the deceased hero? Scalia? Since when are Supreme Court justices heroes?
January 22, 1973.

Well, the Whole Thing was about him being honored with a MEDAL OF FREEDOM
sounds like a hero thing to me
Also, Our Professor Althouse calls honoring a deceased hero in her opening line
Wow, grasping at any wisp of invented slight by the President to signal to your tribe your own virtue. To some Scalia is a Hero. But the guy at the DX that patched my bike tire was a hero, whats it to you? President Donald Trump is doing what past Presidents have done. This doesn't feel like the constitutional crisis some want it to be.
But the guy at the DX that patched my bike tire was a HERO.
Has anybody seen a health update about RBG?
Is she participating in SCOTUS work?
I hope President Trump extends an olive branch to the Left and gives RBG a posthumous Medal of Freedom.
It's like baseball. Scalia can pitch, and the wife can catch.
Trump is an unrepentant boomer.
JS Bach had 20 children and yet found time to compose prolifically. Amazing.
As the father of nine, I resemble that remark.
JOB
Let me get this straight: The people having the vapors about Trump's comment about the Scalias being "busy" is the same crowd that had no qualms about Bill Clinton playing Hide the Cigar in the Oval Office with Monica Lewinski, right?
Couples of large families are not usually offended by those remarks. Yeah they sex and they enjoy it, despite society's perspective that couples with more the two or three dislike sex.
Liberals always have their minds in the gutter.
Their first response to the tea party - wasn't Boston 1775 - but "Tea baggers" some oral sex thing.
Its just amazing. And they somehow thought the rest of the USA thought the same way!
I didn't realize Scalia had 9 kids. that's great. Super smart guys - with great character - should have a lot of kids.
Better for everyone.

No, they thought it was amusing that a group of political dissidents had named themselves after a not-very-well-known sexual practice involving the scrotum. They were amused because of the inadvertent nature of the group naming.
Ah, Mr Cook, it was called the Tea Party (Taxed Enough Already). The left side of the equation started to call them Tea Baggers, which was to a lot of us, not funny.
The liberals always operate in their weird little bubble.
IRC, once Trump attacked some Democrat with a Yiddish insult. The MSM went crazy, "how dare Trump call Mr. Democrat such a dirty word". And then some New Yorkers popped up and said "No, that word isn't dirty, it just means obnoxious person"
And the other 95% of country, who don't speak Yiddish, or live in NYC, just Yawned.
The MSM is so fucking parochial.
"If you don't have something negative to say about Trump don't say anything at all." Rules for Liberals

Thanks Allen, now that you mention it, the era of That's Not Funny started with you people.
What Trump wanted to say was that he could have doubled that number, except he had them aborted.
Funny, Trump's comment called to my mind his obvious love of his own 5 kids and and a shared enthusiasm with Scalia for a houseful of children. Of course, I can see why that interpretation would never occur to a progressive. They use any children they kept as political props, and suburban women showed with their 2018 vote that they did not love their sons.
There was an old woman
Who lived in a shoe
She had so many children
She didn't know what to do.
... Obviously!
It is amazing to me, considering that Trump is a teetotaler, how much he sounds like a drunk.
Chuck - It is DC - 2nd hand fumes of alcohol
As Monty Python asked, Is Mrs. Scalia a goer? Know what I mean? Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more. A nod’s as good as a wink to a blind bat.
I liked Mr. and Mrs. Scalia. No abortions is a good thing.
To give the medal of freedom is to call the person a hero.
That was the tone of the event, the context for assessing Trump’s remarks.
I’m not opining on the selection of Scalia.
It’s an award given to civilians. Who would you give it to if you were President?
“The Presidential Medal of Freedom is an award bestowed by the President of the United States and is—along with the Congressional Gold Medal—the highest civilian award of the United States. It recognizes those people who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors".

The Presidential Medal of Freedom
Tom Wolfe
Tom Watson
Magic Johnson
Pat Buchanan
Dick Van Dyke
My personal standard, would be to not give the medal to anyone in the Professional Arts or in Professional Sports, or anyone who's salary is drawn directly from the Treasury.
To give the medal of freedom is to call the person a hero.
Not if they were captured.
World Peace? Miss America, every year.
Trump should offer it to haters, just for fun,see if they refuse it.

To give the medal of freedom is to call the person a hero.
Given recent events, I think Smokey the Bear's contributions have long been overlooked.
