This is triggering for Meade. Gov Walker. Standing.
Cue the music video . . .
Matt Welch needs to expand his horizons.
Now the funniest thing I've seen in a long time was Cory Booker's preening yesterday.
Flag obeisance is not funny to me, just weird. The flag is a litmus test of nothing.
Welch perhaps doesn't know how to argue against flag ritual except by posturing against it.
Is it funny because it's a Scoot Walker emoji? Because the emoji looks so young?
Matt Welch and I must have different definitions of funny. Or Matt needs to get out more and look for more funny.

Not just the funniest, but also the weirdest.
Booker: "I'm Spartacus!"
Harris: "I'm Spartacus!"
Sanders: "I'm Spartacus!"
Warren: "I'm Spartacus!"
Biden: "I'm Spartacus!"
Patrick: "I'm Spartacus!"
Gillibrand: "I'm Spartacus!"
McAuliffe: "I'm Spartacus!"
Cuomo: "I'm Spartacus!"
Landrieu: "I'm Spartacus!"
Schultz: "I'm Spartacus!"
Holder: "I'm Spartacus!"
Brown: "I'm Spartacus!"
Bullock: "I'm Spartacus!"
That's the funniest thing I've written in this post today.
That's not bad. Bitmojis are hard to do especially if you're kind of bland looking
"Funniest...in a long time" Matt Welch has a pretty humorless life, I'd say.
Wow, Ann is on a roll this morning.
This is funnier.
Not even the funniest thing Ann has posted in the last 2 hours. The MAGA video was much better.
He's wearing Lamar! today.
Who is Matt Welch?
(Goes to search).
Aah. A blogger.
Must not get out much if that's the funniest things he's seen.

In most countries, that's true, patriotism and jingoism are basically the same thing. The US is different. The American flag is different. Anyone who doesn't know why needs to get themselves to a civics class.
Doesn't work for me but my first impression is that it's a charicature of that Hogg kid from the school shooting and I'm pretty certain he wouldn't put his hand over his heart for the flag.
@SeanF:
I literally LoL'd...thanks for that.
Using an emoji/cartoon character for that is a bit odd. Adds a childish sentiment.
Funny haha? If so, Matt needs to get out more.

That doesn't even make the top 100 funniest things for me this week.
He must not be watching the Kavanaugh Show this week. That condom-wearing mook outside the hall was priceless. He should be on Letterman!
But for very recent funny, go no further than Sharpton's R E S P I C T.
Kinda dethrones Biden's "three letter word: jobs"
(Omarosa on WLS right about now..)
Pro football is for black people these days. That’s why it’s funny. Do they even know that yet?
Libertarians stand for so little most of the time, and their political activities are so often laughably irrelevant, it's hard for a Libertarian to make himself look ridiculous. But Matt Welch is just the guy for that task.
Many thanks to Althouse for blogging this so effectively.
What's funny?
What is pathetic is the shit show that is the corruptocrat party. Cory Booker, Kamala, Cynthia Nixon, Pelosi - Sanders. OMG - a whack-job headeache in a can.
“NFL Ratings Down” is like music to my ears.
I know this is the "era of that's not funny;" so, will someone help fill me in on the joke so I can laugh too?
The left get off on mocking the normals.
This is funnier.
Indubitably.
"After being born with a potato for a heart" ???

I don’t think I have seen anything that is more accurate and entertaining on many levels in a while.
Just when you think the joke is told...
You all need to watch the clip.
The whole clip.

LOL. I'm crying and yes, you must watch until the end.
Agree, the guy dressed up as a male part was the strangest costume I have ever seen.
It may be described a lot of ways, "funny" is most inapposite.
What a strange life Matt has had.
Someone should piss on Matt welch. Now that would be goddamn funny.
Booker is neck and neck with Jeff Flake for the dumbest Senator award.
They can laugh at him but they can't seem to beat him.
I mean I know "it's not over until we win" but that sure seems to be taking a while!
Walker as emolji going for millenial voters. Will it ring hollow and backfire?
I think its hilarious that elite Libertarian Welch won't spell out "Goddamn"
What a pussy.
a whack-job headache in a can
Worst. Product. Ever. Worse than lawn darts...
I think it's seen as "funny" because the issue is police brutality - not patriotism or the flag - and, if you don't know that by now, you're seen as pretty clueless. Now some are saying the attempt to steer the conversation elsewhere - after being told - is racist in itself, though I don't see it that way.
They're just horrible people.
The flannel shirt is pretty funny.
The bitmoji’s eyes also look like a kid waiting for a compulsory act to end.
Players were in the locker room during the anthem until a decade ago. Then the military gave the NFL money to whip up the patriotism schtick.
The military should stop all sports advertising. Forget the Be All You Can Be crap. If not enough people join, reinstate the draft until the robot soldiers are ready. Eventually the police will be robots as well. And there will be no more police brutality. Problem will be solved on all sides.
The NFL should get the robots ready as well. Tom Brady will retire soon.
So, kapernick is protesting "police Brutality". OK. Where? And who is in favor of "Police Brutality" and what exactly is it.
I bet you could do a word search of the Kapernick stories in the MSM and you wouldn't find 1 article in 10 that mentions "POlice brutality".
I think it's seen as "funny" because the issue is police brutality - not patriotism or the flag - and, if you don't know that by now, you're seen as pretty clueless
Well, that's how it started out. Since then it has Transitioned.
In most countries, that's true, patriotism and jingoism are basically the same thing. The US is different. The American flag is different. Anyone who doesn't know why needs to get themselves to a civics class.
Enlighten me.
Kaepernick is a Castro fan. Or he was. Someone pointed out to him what a thug and racist Castro was. Then Kaeo tried to back track and say he just was in favor of free health care or whatever his girlfriend told him about Cuba.
Kaep is a young man who is still learning. He’s got plenty of time and money. He might figure stuff out eventually if he works harder.
Then again maybe he has CTE from football and will need to travel to Cuba for treatment.
Booker is neck and neck with Jeff Flake for the dumbest Senator award.
Please. Don't be such a sexist.
Patty Murray has held that crown since she was elected in 1992.
Excuse me but the Murphy, Blumenthal tag team constitutes the gold standard of dumb Senators. Sure, alone Murray or Flake could give them a run but together, nothing is denser. They have their own gravitational field and are pulling dumbness in from surrounding states.
No Connecticut owns the dumbest Senator honors.
"g-d"?
Why bother hinting at it? Why not just say it? If you have to think/edit your profanity, it loses everything it's supposed to have when it just rolls off the tongue. Profanity in the written word is always contrived, but there are effective ways to do it. Abbreviating ain't one of 'em. It smacks of hidden fear.
WT Fuck!
"The flag is a litmus test of nothing."
Oh, I dunno. Disrespect for it has been a pretty effective at identifying complete and utter douchebags in my view. Hasn't failed me yet.
Libertarians are constitutional absolutists. That’s something, unless you’re some kinda fake Republican I suppose.
