[Beverly Young] Nelson will hold a news conference Friday at which her lawyer, Gloria Allred, said expert evidence would be presented that it was Moore’s signature. It sounds like they went out and got their own expert — after refusing to use some neutral entity in a safeguarded process — and that person couldn't verify the whole thing. So they're admitting that part of it is fake, and they want us to accept that expert's view that the other part is real.
“We’re going to present evidence that we think is important on the issue whether Roy Moore signed the yearbook,” Allred told ABC News.

"Roy Moore accuser admits altering yearbook entry."
Why is she admitting this now?

Fox Story
This is a better link because it includes a closeup of the signature. This is important because it shows the part she admits to writing was not even attempted to put in the same style. It's in print where his alleged comments are in cursive.
It looks like all she did was write in the date and location to identify the signer. I think the facts are far less than the headline.
Ah Gloria Allred. An ambulance chasing, publicity seeking scoundrel. Now she's got a client whose "story" won't hold water. But then that is true of a lot of Allred's clients.
As someone mentioned on another post: "Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus" (false in one thing, false in everything.)
Don't forget, after Moore's defenders pointed out that part of that signature was in blue ink, CNN altered the image in their broadcasts to make the blue ink black.
Will there be any consequences?
So they're admitting that part of it is fake, and they want us to accept that expert's view that the other part is real.
Uh huh, su-u-ure we will.
Did Judge Moore preside over this woman’s messy divorce? Why yes, yes he did. Might that give her a motive to fib, just a little? Well, maybe. Just maybe. So do we believe her? Not on your life!
Fabricated part of the evidence, but trust us the rest is real? Hmm, I've hear that before.

Then,
http://photos1.blogger.com/img/19/2627/640/bloom11.jpg
So Moore something nice in a teenager's yearbook, but maybe not on that date and not at The Old Hickory cafe. The Old Hickory where no employees at the time remember Moore even being there ever. Or don't remember the accuser working there. Or say the accuser has the layout of the grounds and closing hours wrong. Or police officers who ate dinner there nearly every night said Moore was never there.
Why alter the yearbook?
Rick
That is plausible. The thing is, we were told Roy Moore wrote that. More to the point, maybe she didn't write it in 1977. If Moore wrote it the date is reliable, but if she could have written it recently it isn't.
She also added the D.A. so writing the date and location wasn't "all she did" why did she add Dilbert Adams's initials and why wasn't Alred up front about it?
CNN altered the image in their broadcasts to make the blue ink black.
Will there be any consequences?
Of course not.
Mac McConnell
Is there a link for those claims?
and I just got CONFLICTING EDITS
Gee. I never saw this coming.
Why did CNN take the initiative in improving the forgery?
How much do handwriting experts actually make?
Sorry, let's spend our energy going after the actual child molester in the Senate, who seems to be under some letter of protection from on high.
"The thing is, we were told Roy Moore wrote that."
-- Exactly. Allred stated everything was written by Moore.
Nelson should sue Allred for legal malpractice. Her worst offense: putting this out now, the weekend before the election.
Are we still to believe all women who cry rape?
Al Franken, hardest hit...
If Nelson really was assaulted, Allred having her insist Moore wrote the whole thing fatally undermines her credibility.
And, out of curiosity, what precisely does signing a yearbook establish......
Allred is paid by Moore
Layers of fact checkers!
The thing is, we were told Roy Moore wrote that. More to the point, maybe she didn't write it in 1977.
All plausible. I'm not saying this proves her allegations (or not), only that these revelations don't move the story from what it was before.
A signature comparison would be more compelling. If the DA is really an appendage from his assistant Moore should be able to produce other documents with that styling which were indisputably from the assistant. This would crush her claim. If it was something he added her lawyers should be able to produce other documents signed by him including it.
So the claim is we only lie sometimes? Amazing
Henry said...

I had one write down his salary once for me, but I can't be sure it was him...
BAG
It establishes that he was at that restaurant with her on that date, because he wrote the time and place. Since she says he tried to rape her in the parking lot of that restaurant, that is significant. Or would be, if true.
"And, out of curiosity, what precisely does signing a yearbook establish......"
-- Originally, it proved that Moore was with her at the day and time shown in the yearbook, which corroborated her story of the assault as it matched the time frame ("near Christmas.") So, originally, it wasn't exactly damning evidence, but it was evidence... if the signature was valid.
Supposedly, her divorce decree included Adams's initials to indicate he was executing Moore's signature for him.
"And, out of curiosity, what precisely does signing a yearbook establish......"
Moore has denied knowing any young women, ever. He's certainly denied knowing this woman as a teenager. If his signature is legit, it establishes that his claim not to even know her is false.
"All plausible. I'm not saying this proves her allegations (or not), only that these revelations don't move the story from what it was before."
-- Changing a credible witness to an admitted liar should move the story a lot. Which is a shame if her lawyer convinced her to lie.
"We lied to you, but just a little."
In 2006, Roy Moore ran for Governor of Alabama -- and got beat badly in the primaries.
Nelson was silent
In 2010, Roy Moore again ran for Governor of Alabama -- and again got beat badly in the primaries.
Nelson was silent
In 2017, Moore ran in special election for Senator of Alabama and won the primary.
Nelson speaks up!
Presumably there was a delay in this announcement so that the "victim" could find vintage inks to use to add "notations" elsewhere in the yearbook, and then age those entries.
Otherwise it would seem strange if the "Moore signature" was the only "annotated" one.
The yearbooks doesn't corroborate her story. It is evidence only of proximity, and perhaps opportunity. Still, after forty years, there is only one witness, the accuser.
I think lawyers call this laches, and if the only contemporaneous evidence is gone, as it is. It's forty years ago. Don't worry liberals, you can still go after Menendez!
She's been caught in multiple lies regarding her story. She had strong motivation to lie (his presiding over her divorce). Logical conclusion: she's lying.
So much for women never lying about rape or sexual harassment.
"The yearbooks doesn't corroborate her story. It is evidence only of proximity, and perhaps opportunity."
-- If legitimate, it defeats his claim he never knew her. It looks less legitimate after this, though.
Inga repeatedly decreed that anyone who questioned the yearbook was an apologist for pedophiles.
Will there be any consequence?
Suppose Roy Moore had married a 17 year-old woman 30 years ago, and they now had 4 kids and 8 grandchildren: would anyone be calling on him to step down based on that relationship?
Would someone say: "I'm okay with the 30-year marriage, but it's the fact that he dated her before they were married that disqualifies him"?
Notion his signature in yearbook forged remains farfetched. Admittedly she was dumb and her attorney incompetent.
I still don't like Moore for other reasons, but I am not going to judge Alabamans for voting him in, nor am I going to make apologies for him.
Besides, Jones is pretty racist, in a white left sort of way.
Scott M: "Al Franken, hardest hit..."
Wrong.
LLR and "Accidental Leftist" Chuck hardest hit. And it isn't even close.
"Notion his signature in yearbook forged remains farfetched."
-- Why? She lied about part of the signature. The Moore campaign is willing to have the hand writing analyzed by a neutral party. If Nelson/Allred want to have any credibility, surrender the yearbook.
Just lied about the one thing she was caught at, readering?
Pepe Le Pew fired from Warner Bros Amid Alleged Sexual Harassment Allegations
Henry posited: "If his signature is legit, it establishes that his claim not to even know her is false."
True. Which is why Gloria Mostly Red refused to turn the yearbook over to an independent arbiter.
"Why is she admitting this now?"
The election is approaching and the democrats want to bring renewed attention to their charges. All publicity is good publicity.
(BTW, conflicting edits is still plaguing us)
Tim in Vermont: "Besides, Jones is pretty racist, in a white left sort of way"
Not to worry.
In about 6 months we will learn that the racist Jones was really a republican all along and switched over to his real hearts desire, the republicans, after Trump leads a midterm election campaign on a Southern Strategy 2018 theme!
Here she explicitly attributes some of that to Moore

Pretty sure he's a skunk.
Big Mike -- about Judge Moore and that "messy divorce":
The case was dismissed shortly after it was filed as Nelson and her husband attempted to reconcile.
The documents do show that Nelson, then Beverly Harris, filed a divorce action against her then-husband in May of 1999. All of the initial documents, however, were signed by a different district judge, W. D. Russell. On May 25, 1999, Judge Russell scheduled the first hearing for the case for June 16.
But that hearing never took place. In June, before the scheduled hearing was set to take place, she filed for a motion to “continue” (delay) the hearing because she and her husband “are going to counseling and are attempting to reconcile.”
A month later, she filed a motion to dismiss the case. That appears to be the only document Moore signed, and given there was no hearing, there is no reason the divorce action would have required her to enter the courthouse or have contact with Moore.
Moore’s attorney acknowledged that he didn’t even personally sign this document. Rather, it was a routine filing where his name was stamped by an assistant. Nelson did eventually file for divorce again, but it was five years later, and a different judge, District Judge Donald W. Stewart, oversaw and signed the final divorce papers.

To be fair, the Pepe LePew thing is funny.
Look at what that poor pus-er, kitty put up with all those years.
I was amused that Morning Commie and his main squeeze Mika tacitly supported the "nearly" departed Franken this AM. Then immediately switched back to attack mode re:Moore/Trump.
Credit where credit is due. ARM posted something amusing and topical.
In fact, what about Bugs Bunny always putting a kiss on his opponents? Can you imagine getting that cartoon made today?
Mel Brooks is turning over in his grave!.....probably because he's not dead yet and the air is getting a bit stale.

That is not sufficient clarification for the current political environment.
You would need to be much clearer.
Friend –
Donald Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee for President of the United States in 2016. As a lifelong advocate for women’s rights, this statement is frightening. Donald Trump has pledged to reverse the vast amounts of great progress we have made over the years. His stance on issues such as equal pay and abortion would reverse this progress and negatively impact millions of women across the country – and that is unacceptable. The time to act is now. That is why I hope you will join myself, Tina Tchen, and Robbie Kaplan for a Democratic National Committee reception on May 31st at the home of Leatitia and Richard Garriott in New York. We will come together and discuss the upcoming race, and why we as women must do everything we can to ensure a Democrat remains in the White House for the next four years.
RSVP to join me and my fellow women’s leaders on the attached invite or here at: https://finance.democrats.org/page/contribute/DLCReceptionMay31
I hope you will answer this important call to action.
Gloria Allred
Women’s Rights Attorney. - Wikileaks
Gloria All Red is an honest broker!
Why would anyone signing a yearbook feel the need to keep emphasizing the date it was happening? Why hammer home that it was 1977? It's a yearbook!
None of my yearbook entries say: "Have a great summer! 1985"
Henry posited: "If his signature is legit, it establishes that his claim not to even know her is false."
Not necessarily.
As a public figure or a political person running for office, he may have been handed a stack of yearbooks to sign. Perhaps a group of yearbooks as a favor to someone with a connection to the graduation class. One after the other with just his signature. Like an author at a book signing.
I'm not saying that IS what happened, just pointing out that there may be innocent circumstances to cause his signature/autograph to be in a book.
Just because I have a book signed by General William Westmorland, and I do, it doesn't mean that I have had a relationship with him or that he even knew who the Hell I am.
The fact that this woman decided that she needed to alter and embellish the signature in order to try to make her claim 'seem' more plausible is something that makes me think that she is a liar in all things.
fivewheels: "Why would anyone signing a yearbook feel the need to keep emphasizing the date it was happening? Why hammer home that it was 1977? It's a yearbook!"
Because sometimes you need to make certain things clear when you are prepping a political hit hoax campaign against an opponent.
You would think by now Inga's pals would have their act together, simply based on the number of late campaign hoaxes they've attempted with their lifelong republican allies.
The lefties/LLR's don't seem to be able to up their game in a sustainable and across the board way.
Not surprising really. There is a reason all of Robert Cook's People's Paradises fail too.
Fake but accurate is back!
“Beverly indicates she added that to remind herself of who Roy Moore was and where and when Mr. Moore signed her yearbook,” Allred said.
So Beverly's memory is so poor, she had to make a note to "remind herself who Roy Moore was."
Exactly when did she add the note? Do all of the signatures in the yearbook contain explanatory notes? If not, why not? And what is incriminating about this nice note in a yearbook from 1977? The only verifiable answers are: She said. He said.
If his signature is legit, it establishes that his claim not to even know her is false.
No such conclusions can be drawn. Public figures and celebrities routinely sign things when asked and often write precisely what they are requested to write.
“To my great friend,...”
“To the most lovely woman I have ever known...”
My daughter got Buzz Aldrin to write “I’m so sorry we had to leave you in the command module plotting our return course...”. And we have the picture to prove it.

I wonder if Gloria Allred discloses to potential clients that the political nature of some of her past work history means the client will be less likely to be believed. Is it malpractive if she does not?
There's a subtle message in saving bombshell revelations until the end of a campaign. In the case of Roy Moore, you're arguing that they are important and should be considered by general election voters but apparently weren't so important to the public interest that you thought they should be disclosed to primary election voters.
eric: "Fake but accurate is back!"
In many ways, "Fake but Accurate" never left. It's always offered the same high quality hoax potential for dems at very competitive prices.
(Stolen and paraphrased from Austin Powers)
"No such conclusions can be drawn. Public figures and celebrities routinely sign things when asked and often write precisely what they are requested to write. "
True, but I would doubt she specified the wording. However a pol on the make might ask her name and write such an inscription.
I have Arnold Palmer's signature. I doubt he remembers me.
CONFLICTING DAMN EDITS
A key element of Nelson's yarn was that Moore told her that everyone would believe him because he was a District Attorney and that nobody would believe her because she was only a child.
Not only did Moore call himself a a District Attorney, he even wrote his job title's initials DA in her yearbook.
Ahhh...Dustbunny addressed the point
- Krumhorn
Wait a minute. She said she had to annotate the signature to remember the man who signed her yearbook and then tried to rape her and pushed her out of a car.
Bullshit.
She claims to have voted for Trump, but she doesn't appear to have voted. That's pretty weird too. That's two lies.
Lets clear this up by having them both testify under oath or at least both take a lie detector test-- why hasn't this been done?
It is rumored that Derek Jeter was once asked to write “To the woman I would most like to pass along a case of my herpes..”
I made that up. At least I didn’t wait weeks to admit I made it up.

Probably something ironic like TruthWinsOut to throw people off the trail for a couple of hours.
In the case of Roy Moore, you're arguing that they are important and should be considered by general election voters but apparently weren't so important to the public interest that you thought they should be disclosed to primary election voters.
Yes, and there was a fierce urgency that this come out the very day that Moore could not be replaced on the ballot. You get one shot at the king. The Washington Post, if they really wanted to just out this guy, could have ended his career earlier, but they wanted the triple bank shot to sink the eight ball.
I always think of this when I think of autographs : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jdWH9N-JXI
Doesn't everyone ask the DA to sign their hs yearbook?
RV: our accusations have been proven fraudulent! The only right thing to do is try to entrap him in a process crime by making him swear under oath and answer questions about 40 year old memories, then find ANYONE who will say they remember things differently and jail him for perjury. It's the only fair way to proceed!
Scooter Libby could not be reached for comment.
Oh, and if the accuser or Allred is proven to lie, we'll just move on, wouldn't want to discourage real victims from coming forward!
I'm beginning to suspect that Allred is not "all there."
Lets clear this up by having them both testify under oath or at least both take a lie detector test-- why hasn't this been done?
Why. She is a liar. We already know this. Maybe she was trying to frame a guilty man, but it's been 40 years. This is over.
In the case of Roy Moore, you're arguing that they are important and should be considered by general election voters but apparently weren't so important to the public interest that you thought they should be disclosed to primary election voters.
Yes, this is what I find most annoying and why I unfortunately find it hard not to be extremely skeptical of this whole story. The truth should have no political agenda, it's just the truth. But it's clear that the Democrat party have never really been interested in the truth if it doesn't serve their accumulation of power. Ray Moore has been in politics for decades and this story never saw the light of day. Suddenly, right when it matters most to the political aspirations of the Democrats, it surfaces. It's all just way too convenient and it makes it difficult to believe without any reservations right of the bat. Then they have this lawyer who is known to be a champion of false causes. And now we have this admission that some of the evidence isn't completely what they claimed it was? What are voters supposed to think?
"Lets clear this up by having them both testify under oath or at least both take a lie detector test-- why hasn't this been done?"
-- Because lie detector tests are not 100% fool proof, and we do not routinely force the accused to have to testify against themselves. You're literally asking to infringe on Moore's rights.
tim in Vermont
Do you have links for her saying she voted for Trump, and that she didn't vote? That would be dispositive I think: a lie and one intended to deflect suspicion of a political motive.
Actually, I want to ask RV, who insists we put Moore on trial based on a forgery, what penalties he would impose on the accuser for lying.
roesch/voltaire: "Lets clear this up by having them both testify under oath or at least both take a lie detector test-- why hasn't this been done?"
Because you lying jerks don't get to create even more kangaroo courts simply because you want to.
Not that you aren't already doing that with Mueller and on every single college campus already.
Reminder: we still have no independent analysis that the sig is true.
Since I am a Republican who likely would have stayed home in Alabama, were it my choice. Knowing this, I would vote for him. I am pretty sure that there are enough Republicans like me to swing this race.
Especially given the casual racism of the Doug Jones campaign and its likely effect on the black vote. Praise for the Confederacy in his TV ads "Many fine people on both sides!" and his "leering black rapist" flyer.
I would ask Nelson three questions:
1) Do you still insist that Moore told you that everyone would believe him because he is a District Attorney?
2) Did you yourself write the letters DA after Moore's name in the yearbook?
3) If so, then why did you write those two letters there?
Indicates the Dems and the Deep State have changed their strategy and now want Moore to win so they can continue this battle well into next year.
Ken B: "Reminder: we still have no independent analysis that the sig is true"
Just like Hillary's "hacked" server.
We have zero actual forensic evidence that hack occurred.
Zero.
Just the word of a bunch of democrats.
Gee, I can't imagine why that isn't "good enough"......
I find it hard to believe that a young girl who had such a harrowing experience would have to make a note of the guys name the date and whatnot so she could remember who he was.
I think it would be more likely she would have gone back and scribbled that jerks name right out of her book so he could forget she ever saw him.
This is a great "case study" to follow Ann's earlier comments about men not being willing to fight charges they claim are false. Moore did not fold and the longer this particular story continues the weaker it becomes. I expect that if this ever came before a court Nelson would either give up or end up in jail herself.
I wrote my son's brother in law who lives in AL and asked him to, please, cast my absentee ballot for Moore.
Why is she admitting this now?
Is that a trick question?
AJ Lynch: "Indicates the Dems and the Deep State have changed their strategy and now want Moore to win so they can continue this battle well into next year."
They were going to do that anyway. Getting Moore with their lies would just be gravy.
Don't worry, the dems are already hard at work manufacturing the next series of outrages that will drive their campaigns. It's all they have left, plus there is going to be alot of corruption of govt that the lefties and their lifelong republican allies will need to cover up.
That would be dispositive I think: a lie and one intended to deflect suspicion of a political motive.
She definitely claimed to be a Trump voter, and the Washington Post used that as evidence that she wouldn't lie (why should she?) I think that was a Howard Kurtz column. And she definitely was listed as an "inactive voter." I suppose it is possible that that doesn't mean that she hasn't voted in a while. I don't know Alabama's rules.
We're honestly supposed to believe that this woman was sexually harassed by Moore, but when her case came up before Moore she didn't utter a word to anyone. She didn't even ask for another Judge!
And as I've written elsewhere, the accuser didn't just forge "Notes" - she forged "Moore" as part of his signature, and everything after it. What isn't forged? Well, a yearbook inscription from "Roy" - who might be Roy Moore or might not be.
Oh, and everyone has stated the restaurant where she supposedly was picked up by Moore - 39 FUCKING YEARS AGO - didn't have a "Parking lot in the back" nor did Moore's car have "child locks". Nor was Moore ever "banned from the shopping mall".
And we're supposed to believe she kept this "deep, dark, secret" about Moore locked up in her bosom for 39 FUCKING YEARS and then decided to let the world know NOW - 1 month before election time.
Damn people are gullible.
I followed the link to Fox News in the second comment here. The signature does not look like the same handwriting seen in the rest of the message. The r's look different, (in "merry" and "Moore," as do the o's in "more" and "Moore." I'm no expert, but it looks suspicious to me.
find it hard to believe that a young girl who had such a harrowing experience would have to make a note of the guys name the date and whatnot so she could remember who he was.
Not to mention, add the initials of one of his future underlings, since he wasn't DA at the time, and apparently a Dilbert Adams (D.A.) used a stamp to sign some legal paper of hers that passed through Moore's office.
Why would she try to fake a signature that she had on some other document?
This was all just bullshit to me, and I was ready to write off the seat. But fuck this!
The Hill/Thomas situation is another good case study. (From Powerline)
Also, the "M" in "Merry" is different than the "M" in "Moore."
If you look at Allred's original tweet. The picture of the signature has been subject to some post processing to make both parts look of a piece.
AJ Lynch at 2:25 PM
Indicates the Dems and the Deep State have changed their strategy and now want Moore to win so they can continue this battle well into next year.
Al Franken's announcement yesterday means that the Democratic Party's polling already predicts that Roy Moore is sure to win the election next week.
Rcocean: people like Inga and Ritmo aren't gullible. They know it's a lie. They're smearing us, gaslighting us and hoping others will be that gullible.
Why post a picture in black and white as some kind of evidence these days unless you are trying to hide something?

B&W rules! Ever see Out of the Past?
If you scroll down to the bottom of this website, you will see examples of his signature, even in social situations. He always adds his middle initial "S" and incorporates into his the "y" of his name. I am highly doubtful that this is his signature. I think someone named Roy autographed the girl's yearbook way back when but it wasn't Roy Moore.
"Why post a picture in black and white as some kind of evidence these days unless you are trying to hide something?"
Exactly. If you see the picture in color, everything after "Roy" is in different color ink.
continue this battle well into next year.
They will do it anyway. Remember Palin, the contemplative Democratic cuckoo, the congresswoman, and the New York Times's repeated pleas of ignorance?
Getting Moore with their lies would just be gravy.
Lies? Maybe. Probably. What we know is that neither his story nor her story can be established beyond a reasonable doubt given the means and methods available to mortal beings. The decay of accuracy over extended frames of reference in time and space only progresses this limitation of human beings operating in the scientific realm.
Again - when the yearbook came out, CNN altered the picture to make the blue ink appear black to improve the forgery.
CNN actively participated in the forgery. Moore should sue their asses off, win or lose.
@Lydia, thank you for the clarification, however it does not change my mind regarding Nelson’s truthfulness (lack thereof).
The Washington Post handwriting "expert", who claimed the signature and notes were "one writer" has just been thrown under the bus.....for now. He/she played his/her assigned role flawlessly and will be amply rewarded for his/her lies.
Qwinn: "CNN actively participated in the forgery."
As Glenn Reynolds says, just think of them as democrat operatives and it all makes sense.
What isn't forged? Well, a yearbook inscription from "Roy" - who might be Roy Moore or might not be.
Looks like "Ray" to me.
You don't need to go on about how "Moore" is faked. Its the same color ink as all the other "Notes" that were forged.
The Dems have pour millions and millions of dollars into Alabama, the media has done their part and Moore with nothing might pull this out. So now after admitting the yearbook has been altered, Gloria Alred is going to call in experts 24 hours before the Alabama polls close. Sort of smells like WAPO publishing smears the day after there is no legal way to replace Moore on the ballot.
Yeah, it could be "Ray" - good point.
THIRD TIME LUCKY
Tim, she is inactive because she did not repond to mail. Does not prove she didnt vote.
If Moore loses - blame it on McConnell and the fucking #neverTrumpers at national Review, Redstate, and the Daily Wire.
They wanted Moore to lose - just like they wanted Trump to lose.
'Cause nothing says "Conservative" like helping a liberal Democrat get elected.
The Get Trump Squad is a crafty bunch!
The NYT article has a photo of the yearbook
It should be easy to determine if the cursive handwriting is Moore's or not.
The little tag at the end, "12-22-77 OLDE HICKORY HOUSE" looks to this amateur sleuth as having been added later.
Of course, signing a yearbook doesn't mean much (in and of itself). Signing a yearbook at Christmas time? Seems a bit odd. I thought you get your yearbook at the end of school in June.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Ruben Kihuen (D-NV) refuses to resign in the face of calls by Pelosi for him to do so.
Reminder: Inga, Ritmo, etc. called anyone who questioned the yearbook an apologist for pedophilia, among dozens of other smears.
Their absence today is noteworthy, is it not?
Meanwhile, on msn.com, none of this is news. John Doe revelations, Mueller's henchman, the yearbook, none of this is reported. The only thing tnat happened today is Trump is in more trouble, and Moore is a racist (with no mention of Jones praising the confederacy.
Where are you Inga? You've been plastering every blog post with 25+ inane allegations regarding Moore for the last week or two, but today you're absent without leave? Why is that Inga?
"Why post a picture in black and white as some kind of evidence these days unless you are trying to hide something?"
rcocean said: Exactly. If you see the picture in color, everything after "Roy" is in different color ink.
Right. If it were truly Roy Moore's signature, why would he write the inscription and his first name in one ink and then (magically) change to the green ink that she now admits that she added.
The last name Moore is in green and doesn't seem to match the rest of the inscription because the "O"s in Moore are larger and loopier and do not have the lines through the "O"s as in the inscription but rather loop from the top.
Not the same handwriting at all. Obvious forgery or addition
Photo of signature
For all we know that could be Roy Fudpucker's signature and not Roy Moore.
AAAAND....conflicting edits grrrrrr.
The two-tone thing might be an artifact
https://www.metabunk.org/explained-roy-moore-two-color-yearbook-signature-depth-of-field-chromatic-aberration.t9253/
If you still think the two-tone is real, explain this
https://www.google.com/search?q=moore+yearbook&rlz=1C1GGRV_enUS752US752&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiyhNzvpfvXAhWwl-AKHSJQBqQQ_AUICygC&biw=1536&bih=831#imgrc=9d_CpRsK3ALxcM:
My conclusion: two-tone is an artifact and not real.
"So they're admitting that part of it is fake, and they want us to accept that expert's view that the other part is real."
See, the problem when you lie is you undermine your credibility. If it is a small lie, minor to the overall story and situation, then the damage is minimal and you can recover. If it is a big lie, as I judge this one to be, then the damage is catastrophic and you're done.
Moore's supporters and anyone on the fence are no longer listening.

The signature in the yearbook matches the rubber-stamped signature (seen on the divorce papers) exactly--down to the initials of his assistant. Yet the rubber stamp was created almost twenty years later--when he was a judge. Explain that. The signature is a forgery. The person forging the signature thought that DA stood for "District Attorney." Moore would have been a Deputy District Attorney at the time of the incident.
Lord, the dishonesty.
Reporters on Friday criticized Fox News for saying that Beverly Young Nelson, who accused Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 16, “forged” part of a yearbook inscription she’s attributed to Moore.
During an interview with Good Morning America’s Tom Llamas that aired Friday, Nelson re-affirmed that Moore signed her yearbook when she was 15, before the alleged assault, and said that she added “notes” underneath his signature.
“The message was all Roy Moore,” Llamas said in his report.
Reporting on the interview, Fox News said Nelson admitted that she “forged part of the yearbook inscription,” echoing a frequent attack from Moore’s camp against Nelson. The report’s headline was later changed — “Roy Moore accuser admits she wrote part of yearbook inscription attributed to Alabama Senate candidate” — but the the tweet stayed up for a bit longer, though it was later deleted?
The article itself changed after scrutiny, too: While the Fox News originally asserted “Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she added the date and place in the inscription,” the article now says the “notes” Nelson admitting to adding “appear to be the handwritten date and location.” TPM had reached out to a Fox News spokesperson regarding the factual basis for the first assertion above, but received no response.
The article has no byline, aside from “Fox News.” An update to the story at the bottom reads: “An update to this story reflects that Beverly Young Nelson admits writing what ABC News characterized as ‘notes’ beneath what she says is Roy Moore’s signature, and that the only notes below the signature are the date and location. Furthermore, the headline on story now specifies that Nelson admits to writing part of the inscription herself, rather than forging part of it.”

Exactly. If you see the picture in color, everything after "Roy" is in different color ink.
I've seen such a picture, however one I saw with the added words in blue has clearly been edited ( it had a line drawn between the area of black and blue ink. ) I can't tell if the blue was the color it appeared in the real-life yearbook, or if the blue was an "enhancement" done to highlight the added text.
I've also seen a color picture of the yearbook, that included the woman's hand in color, and all the ink in black. That image may also have been manipulated to make all the ink the same color. At this point I don't know.
Inga: "Lord, the dishonesty"
Now now. We already know Allred, Nelson and the rest of the dems involved in this hoax lied. No need to belabor it.
Only the tip!
"Furthermore, the headline on story now specifies that Nelson admits to writing part of the inscription herself, rather than forging part of it."
LOL
It doesn't get any better than that right there!
Hey man, I didn't forge anything! I just wrote it!!
Yeah Inga, you run with that. It's a winner!
Allred made her come out and make this confession in order to cover her ass against disbarment. You can imagine Allred's shocked--shocked--face. Logic suggests that Allred knew the signature was fake--that's why she would not allow it to be examined by independent experts.
Apparently if you change the wording of what Young admitted to to something that means the same thing ("forged the inscription" to "wrote the inscription"), it's no longer a forgery!
You know, like "gross negligence" is totally different from "extreme carelessness".
Pepe LePew took toxic masculinity to a whole new level.
“At the original press conference, Nelson said Moore had signed the yearbook, but made no references to annotations she may have added. On Friday, however, Nelson wrote she had simply added a note at the bottom of his inscription writing the date, “12-22-77,” and “Olde Hickory House,” the restaurant of where the two had met.”
It’s truly astounding the lengths people will go to to discredit this woman.
Inga go look at your own yearbook, did people just sign their names? Did they write nice notes.
I recently moved and ran across two of mine, up on reading some I got the distinct impression a couple of cheerleaders were hitting on me. But I think it was mostly a 66 year old man's fantasy sadly.
Some guy named Ray originally wrote that verse. Ray rhymes with "say" making it a rhyming verse.
The woman discredited herself.
“Update 2:01 PM
Fox News has removed the part of their article that falsely stated Moore ruled against Nelson in her divorce case.”
You people who get your news from Fox and Breitbart, what does that say about you? Gullible fools.
Lord, the dishonesty
How did that CNN story about the "encryption key" work out for you Inga? Speaking of dishonesty. That's three busted flushes this week, not counting this one.
This is all unknowable bullshit at this point. She should have said right up front what it was, instead, you still have people like Ken B here trying to prove that the two different colors of ink were an "artifact" of the photograph.
Reminder: When people pointed out all the logical inconsistencies about Moore writing that date and time in a yearbook as if deliberately documenting the rape he was about to commit, Inga called those people liars, partisan hacks and apologists for pedophilia. She INSISTED Moore wrote that date and place himself.
“Why it matters: It wouldn't, except that the Moore campaign as well as several right-wing news outlets, including Fox News, are spinning the detail to insinuate that Nelson forged Moore's note to cast doubt on her story. Fox News tweeted Friday, "BREAKING NEWS: Roy Moore accuser admits she forged part of yearbook inscription attributed to Alabama senate candidate"
Update: Fox News has since deleted their tweet and updated their headline and story to more accurately reflect Nelson's admission.”
https://www.axios.com/moores-accuser-wrote-the-date-location-under-the-yearbook-note-2515943201.html
what does that say about you? Gullible fools.
A. Your point doesn't make any difference.
B. You have come on here flogging three "We finally got him" stories this week alone that fell apart almost immediately.
It’s truly astounding the lengths people will go to to discredit this woman. - Princess Sky Screamer
Here's hoping today is the day the complete and full meltdown comes to fruition.
Here's some more rope. It's new rope, even.
Go for it. I won't stop you.
The truth is, I don't care what Roy Moore did 40 years ago. After decades of the media and Democrats arguing that character doesn't matter, only ideology and policy matter. I believe them, character only counts in one's personal dealings. Politics is about POWER and I don't want a Dem elected in Alabama, but it's not up to me. The Voters of Alabama will adjudicate Moore's accused sins with an election. It's the American way.
Makes Allred dancing around whether the signature was true make a lot more sense.
spinning the detail to insinuate that Nelson forged Moore's note to cast doubt on her story.
It's not a matter of spinning when a witness lies. Especially when 40 years have passed and evidence is thin and unreliable. "I didn't forge it, I wrote it," is laughable.
If it's true, this should all have come out weeks ago. This is over.
Why the fuck did she write "D.A." on it? BTW? He wasn't D.A. then, and Dilbert Adams wasn't an underling of his for decades after. And why didn't she complain about this when Moore was a judge in her divorce? Why didn't she ask for a new judge?
1) The name of the restaurant is Old Hickory House. "Olde" was only used once in an advertisement right after the restaurant opened YEARS before the alleged incident.
2) The restaurant didn't hire high-schoolers to work there.
3) Moore was not a regular. In fact no one can place him there.
4) The dumpsters are on the side of the building. She said back.
5) The back of the building abuts residential back yerds.
6) Her boyfriend at the time says it never happened and that she didn't work there, then.
7) Waitresses didn't serve the counter customers or interact with them. The male cooks did.
"Roy Moore accuser admits she forged part of yearbook inscription attributed to Alabama senate candidate""
She did, Inga.
Grow up. The Flynn case is about to blow up in your left wing faces. The judge has suddenly recused himself.
More coming. A lot more.
So, because Young only said that she "wrote" part of the signature that she'd previously claimed was all written by Moore - which is the DEFINITION OF FORGERY - but didn't actually say the word "forgery" in her admission, it was therefore a lie to say she admitted to forgery.
There is no possible way to parody Inga. She is literally beyond parody. No words insane, hyperpartisan or ridiculous that you could put in her mouth can be worse than what she offers up herself.
Delbra Adam (DA) was Roy Moore's assistant as a judge.
She might have been attempting to frame a guilty man, but sorry. I would have stayed home on Tuesday in Alabama, as I said before, but after this, it's complete bullshit.
Why don't you start going after Menendez if this issue about molesting children is so important to you?
Inga: "It’s truly astounding the lengths people will go to to discredit this woman."
That's funny. Juanita Broaddrick never forged anything and an entire army of Inga's pals called her every name in the book for 20 years...and still attack her or ignore her.
The only thing that could make this more perfect is if Nelson left out "1" in the date!! Like Inga's "encryption key" insanity.
Well, I reckon The Reckoning is more or less wrecked.
Where’s our handwriting analyst who came out of nowhere to post that this was absolutely, totally, totes not a forgery and you can take it to the bank and shame on us who doubted his expert analysis and who has now disappeared? I want to hear from that jackass. Under his real name.
Inga's spinning so fast she's going hit oil soon.
Unanswered question: who paid Allred to go along with this scam? Surely she doesn’t work for free. This should put Moore over the top.
Part of “The Reckoning” should involve finding out exactly who is financing these botched hit jobs.
"I didn't forge it, I wrote it and said he wrote it! Forgers in the movies use all kinds of fancy tools and stuff! I just wrote it there!"
"It's not 'gross negligence! It's 'extreme carelessness!'"
All these stupid little errors and amateurish forgeries.
Didn't these people ever watch Colombo? He nailed people on shit like this all the time.
You didn't have to be an expert to know at a glance that there was something wrong with that yearbook signature. The only surprising part is that Allred and the accuser thought no one would notice. I guess this is an example of what hubris does to people.
The left lied about Moore being banned from a mall, and now they admit they lied about this signature, and the media allegedly played a role in the lie. I didn't care before, but at this point I hope Moore wins, because the leftist liars, especially the liars in the media, need to lose, if only to discourage others.
As I've said before, lately I disbelieve everything the leftist media say about Republicans, and so far I haven't been wrong by doing so. It's fake news all the time now. It's appalling how willing they are to distort facts and outright lie to the American people. The left -- particularly the leftist media-- has zero credibility with me.
Remember when I said that Inga isn't gullible, she knows she's lying and is trying to gaslight us and destroy a man with allegations of assault she knows are false?
Anyone still doubt that?
None of this matters anymore. The people have made up their minds and everyone will know it next Wednesday morning.
I didn't think Inga could beclown herself any more than she has in the last few weeks, but she's outdone herself! Big round of applause, Ingtard!
“Here's hoping today is the day the complete and full meltdown comes to fruition.”
“Jim”,
You sound demented every single day. No need for me to wait for you to lose your shit.
So how is that Blake Farenthold thing? Looks like the House Ethics Committee opened up a NEW investigation against him and now two Republican Congresswomen have come out to call for his resignation. You sure made yourself look like an idiot yesterday, well, not only yesterday, that’s an everyday occurance for you.
Fabi, you beclown yourself every time you post a comment...yawn.
The Washington Post fucked up by releasing this story too early. There was time to counter some of the details even though forty years had passed. If they broke the story this week, there would be no time to do any investigating. You can be sure they will wait next time. Pity the innocent in the future.
She wrote it to make the evidence appear more damning. More evidence that she is untruthful.
I wish we could always know the truth in these matters. But she should have come out with this the last two times he ran for statewide office, and not fucked with the evidence.
And who has their yearbooks with them in December?
Fabi, you beclown yourself every time you post a comment...yawn
"I came on here this week three times hyperventilating over stories that were so stupid, they were discredited in hours... yawn." - Inga
So how is that Blake Farenthold thing?
How is your campaign to get Menendez the likely child rapist removed from the Senate, Inga? I know how deeply you and Democrats in general feel about the issue of diddling teenagers!
Inga, you know, it's OK to say "Gee, looks like I was snookered because I wanted so badly to believe her." Doubling down to defend an obvious liar is not a good look. I mean, even I am getting embarrassed for you....
What threet stories have been “discredited” Tim? Elaborate.
I know Ann/Meade would never do this, but I so wish they'd post a poll:
Is Inga's continued defense of the indefensible yearbook forgery:
1) Evidence of extreme gullibility, or
2) Evidence of gaslighting.
Is Inga's continued defense of the indefensible yearbook forgery:
1) Evidence of extreme gullibility, or
2) Evidence of gaslighting."
Could also be evidence of complete stupidity.

She is the fatal combination of lefty zealot and dullard.
We have now reached the "I know you are but what am I" phase of the thread.
Open thread coming soon I suppose.
Exiled : I'd file that under option 1.
CNN claimed that someone named Michael J. Erickson had sent Donald Trump, Jr. an email with a link to Wikileaks material on September 4th.
CNN thought this proved their RUSSIA conspiracy (hat tip to PJMedia's Morning Brief for the Always Capitalize RUSSIA rule) because Wikileaks published those materials publicly on September 13th. Ergo, their report suggested that someone had special non-public access to these materials and tried to get them to Trump.
I guess this would be someone from Wikileaks or someone from RUSSIA.
However, this email was not sent September 4th. The key incriminating data here was the date of the email -- if the email came 9 days before public disclosure of the trove of documents, on September 13th, then that's suspicious.
What did CNN do to verify this key date? Um, not too much, apparently. Because the date of the email was September 14th, after Wikileaks had publicly announced the documents for download on Twitter and made them available to the world.
In other words, Donald Trump Jr. got this email about the documents about 12 hours after everyone else in the world got word of them. He got them relatively late, obviously --people who care about these things had already been emailing the link for 12 hours.
The Daily Caller says this story got major play on CNN television today, despite being completely wrong, and being yet another grossly negligent (or intentional) #FakeNews frame-job about the Trumps.
--From Ace of Spades HQ
The "encryption key" That was sent to him by somebody after the emails were already public. CNN fucked up the date. Read about it in the WaPo, if you like.
The "contact during the campaign" that was bullshit, it was during the transition, not that either one would have been illegal. Ross was suspended for a month for that fuckup.
The "trump bank records subpoena" which turned out to be a Manafort subpoena.
Stellar rejoinder, Inga -- hope you're applying for a copyright!
Things like this are making it much easier to vote for Moore next Tuesday. I still don't like him but it's looking like he was on the receiving end of some extremely nasty dirty tricks. I distrust the Democrats and the press (but I repeat myself) even more than I dislike Moore. I'll still need some strong mouthwash to get the taste of this whole campaign out of my mouth.
“Inga, you know, it's OK to say "Gee, looks like I was snookered because I wanted so badly to believe her." Doubling down to defend an obvious liar is not a good look. I mean, even I am getting embarrassed for you....”
Adding the date and location to Moore’s inscription does not prove that the inscription by Moore is a forgery. It is embarrassing to see such desperation to discredit this poor woman. It’s disgusting. Seriously, what is wrong with you epeople, have you completely lost your moral center?
Doubling down to defend an obvious liar is not a good look.
Sure sign of a troll. Never ever admit you were wrong on anything! Even R/V admitted he was wrong about something today. It makes me take his posts more seriously. I admit immediately when caught out being wrong. What's the point in not doing it?
I am favoriting this thread, so whenever we need to prove to a newcomer how utterly malevolent and disingenous Inga is, how utterly corrupt, vile and loathsome, how hyperpartisan to the point of obscenity, how utterly lacking in anything resembling credibility, we can just post this thread and say "search for Inga".
Even Rick sees it for what is it is.

This is a better link because it includes a closeup of the signature. This is important because it shows the part she admits to writing was not even attempted to put in the same style. It's in print where his alleged comments are in cursive.
It looks like all she did was write in the date and location to identify the signer. I think the facts are far less than the headline.
12/8/17, 1:14 PM”
I saw a minute of the Moore press conference. They apparently have some links to McConnell and JEB Bush on their flogging this story to WaPoo.
I have thought all along that McConnell was involved . He has been determined to show Steve Bannon that he cannot beat any GOPe candidates in the primaries next year,
I'm listening to Lendowski and Bossie's book "Let Trump be Trump. on audio this week.
They have an annoying reader but the book is pretty interesting. Manafort os a big villain.
Your eye proves the signature is a forgery. It exactly matches the rubber-stamped signature on the divorce papers that was made almost twenty years later--down to his assistant's initials DA (for Delbra Adams.)
Adding the date and location to Moore’s inscription does not prove that the inscription by Moore is a forgery.
Why do you keep skipping over the "D.A." part? Something that appeared on documents only when one of his assistants used a stamp for his signature. Something that didn't appear on his signature for decades?
It's embellishment in an attempt to create verisimilitude. AKA a fucking lie.
It has been a long time since I’ve seen Althouse commenters act in such a loathsome manner. Shame on you.
Inga: If the part of the signature that Moore didn't write was ever presented as having been written by him - and it was - and you insisted it was - then yes, it's proof of forgery. To deny it is to employ Orwell's 1984 as an instruction manual.
WaPo got the initial four names for an undisclosed source. That would be McConnell--Chuck's globalist buddy. LLRs don't like Ten Commandment judges. Or guys that want borders enforced. Too icky.
