"And lo! There, right infront of us, was the so hyped ‘white giraffe’ of Ishaqbini conservancy!"

"They were so close and extremely calm and seemed not disturbed by our presence. The mother kept pacing back and forth a few yards infront of us while signalling the baby Giraffe to hide behind the bushes..."

Hirola Conservation Programme Director & Founder, Dr. Abdullahi Ali says:
"I am positive these rare giraffes will change the perception of outsiders regarding north eastern Kenya in which many people have negative perceptions. I remember two years while I was in the US someone asked me where do you come from in Kenya and I said Garissa in Eastern Kenya. Her immediate response was that 'there is a lot of nothing there.' Snowy white giraffes and the rare hirola are [of] course not everywhere!"

That giraffe has another 90 minutes or so to live before being poached and having its body parts sold for witchcraft.

Poached? Surely grilling is preferred?

North Eastern Kenya, Garissa County, is on the Somali border, whence come occasional terrorist attacks. One of the worst was there in Garissa actually, in 2015, when the Al-Shabaab group killed 150 Christian students at Garissa University College.

Africa is a continent, and a large one. Almost anything is possible there.

Iirc, you can stuff both Americas and Europe into Africa and still have room for a number of large islands to fit in.

Let's not spew the lie that white giraffes are superior.

Ironically, Africans tend to have a less liberal perspective of diversity. So, the lack of color diversity is not cause to judge or discriminate between individual animals. A conservation of principles matters.

Kenya's problem is politics. One of my medical students was from Kenya. Her parents were both physicians but the country is so corrupt they had both retired to their coffee farm. She wanted to go back and work there. I wonder if she did?

A properly placed prism would diversify that white mass to a rainbow of colors, but not black, or brown.

I think you'd have to be talking to a Kenya expert to have them know where anything was in that country.

That quote smells like Reich.

They get booted out and end up in Europe. Then they take over the world.

Why has Harry Dean Stantons picture the one of the Ishaqbini giraffes?
