"The Clinton Foundation has confirmed it accepted a $1 million gift from Qatar while Hillary Clinton was U.S. secretary of state without informing the State Department..."

"...even though she had promised to let the agency review new or significantly increased support from foreign governments."
Qatari officials pledged the money in 2011 to mark the 65th birthday of Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton's husband, and sought to meet the former U.S. president in person the following year to present him the check, according to an email from a foundation official to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign chairman, John Podesta. The email, among thousands hacked from Podesta's account, was published last month by WikiLeaks.
ADDED: I read that as new news, but I see it's from just before the election. I didn't remember.

AND: Someone at Facebook was highlighting the story. I need to learn to double-check dates before I assume that what looks like news to me is actually new. Presumably, this Facebook friend is making some sort of point about proportionality and Trump's perceived misdoings.

Hey, it's a Democrat and Hillary. What is it: Dog bites man isn't news? Only man bites dog?

So the NYT can plead that of course Hillary took bribes--that's not news! Why report it, right? It would make the Lifelong republican GOPe members who hate Trump get a bad case of the sadz after all.

Hillary is corrupt, everyone knows that, right?

Now that I'm off of using the NYT excuse list, I bet we find out sometime that Hillary Clinton took a million dollar bribe from Russia in, say, October of 2016. But that wasn't newsworthy enough for the media to report, of course. Because Hillary would never let a Russian bribe affect her!

Isn't this a crime? Why wouldn't Sessions jump on this to prove his bona fides to DJT?

Late in the afternoon of the Friday before the election, actually. Is that more or less obscure?

Seriously, in the most apolitical, coldly non-partisan way, if you wonder why no one gives a shit about the hysteria aimed at Trump, look no further.

Trump needs somebody with savvy about the swamp to figure out how to use this to get rid of Mueller.

Not yet. It's still too soon. After a few more leftist flameouts on Russia, Trump needs to have Sessions take Mueller, if neccessary with him, out the door.

A month or two more of grandstanding by Senators and it will be time.

I would like an independent investigator, say Newt Gingrich or Rudy Giuliani, to review this for any wrong doing. Perhaps they could hire Sarah Palin an Ted Nugent as aides in the investigation. Only in this way can all these rumors be put to rest.

I assume that it wasn't exactly front page news in the Times or the Post.

If anybody in the comments has any connection with the Qataris, please let them know my birthday is Feb 28th and they are more than welcome to accompany their check to my party.

Thanks in advance.

Today Paul Ryan was speaking for Mueller's integrity. If Washington is a swamp, Ryan is from the black lagoon.

It did not get much circulation on the original reveal, did it? I sure don't remember this. Somehow it did not get rebroadcasted or emphasized. Real News, ignored.

The Clinton foundation received hundreds of millions from all sorts of people with business before the USG and the State Department.

Qatar is just one of hundreds of patrons of the Clintons.

The largest personal bribery system in US history. And, for the most part, conducted in the open. With the full knowledge of the Obama administration, so they were certainly complicit. Quite amazing really.

Yeah, funny how that wasn't a huge story back then, huh? Foreign money, foreign interference...back then it wasn't much of a problem. Back when the Media was sure Hillary would win, you know, all sorts of things were small potatoes.

Attention GOPe, National Review, Democrats(I repeat myself) and MUELLER.

THIS IS COLLUSION.

Fire him already Trump.

So many anti-Trumpers swear they didn't vote for Hillary. If all the people who say they voted for Jill Stein actually had, she'd probably be President today. Well, I understand: if I had supported Hillary, I'd deny it, too.

Most major media ignored this story. The Daily Beast only covered to try to spin in a positive light after Pence mentioned.

Trump just rocked forty-thousand boy scouts at the jamboree. They loved him. Better than Kid Rock.

There's a good story. But it'll only get play on Twitter.

Probably makes the media cringe.

It is useful to highlight the enormous double standard of the DNC-Media complex. Clinton rakes in millions of foreign dollars: shrug. Trump might have spoken to a Russian: Treason!

The week prior to the election was more a news avalanche than usual. Back when all the right people hated Comey, when the tide of history was allegedly flowing Hillary's way and all the polls said good things for her.

If you (and many others) haven't seen it before, &/or its relevance has changed, it is still "news" regardless of when first surfaced.
