Unknown seems to think that (a) the current Russian regime is irredeemably evil, totally untrustworthy, and utterly hostile to the interests of the United States, (b) its officials can be absolutely trusted not to tell lies about an incoming President that would make his transition more difficult or his administration less effective if Americans were to believe them. I'm having a little trouble reconciling these two premises.
Not for nothing, but if the Russians are actually making trouble for president Trump, do they really think that he is just going to roll over and take it from them?
Trump has spoken generously and magnanimously to the left and to the nation and the trigglypuffs are treating it like an invitation to the gas chambers. Trust that he is going to not cave to that but punch back twice as hard.
Likewise, Trump has been very pleasant to the Russians, so if they take the first possible chance to do him harm, hopefully it is a lesson that he will only need to learn once. Frankly I question the sense of Russians doing this. It's kind of flaky.
IMHO, the Russians beat us w/ the scrimmages they choose to engage in. It doesn't take a rocket scientist quasi-dictator to look at the globe and find irritating (from our POV) situations where their cost/ben is minuscule, while ours is massive. So, even if we did go all in to achieve "victory", we lose.
I.e., we're crazy rich, so it's tempting to want to win these not-geo-important things, but we'd be made to pay a ton, to save face. Hence the losing by winning thing.
Anywho, presumably you believe that deal maker DJT can reverse these realities.
BTW, if we don't get goaded into any of these circumstances where we would spend a ton to achieve a valueless win, then the Russians can keep upping their testing of us.
So, what's the best option: 1)Always oppose them no matter the cost/ben, or 2) pick and choose when to engage, which is an invitation for the Russians to escalate probing.
Anywho, the DJTers here are sure that expert dealmaker DJT (who contends w/ our delicate population, a lot more to lose, and real democratic restraints) will have no problem getting the best of the much less restrained, w/ less to lose Putin.
Also, since the Rs (here R means Russian, not Republican) didn't give WikiLeaks any info re DJT, it's impossible to imagine that they have dirt on him that could be used to F w/ America, when doing so would be most advantageous for Russia.
And how savvy was Hildy in her cheeky Russian reset moment? We are mere hours past the election and you are already spewing about Trump's future approach while ignoring Hil/Kerry/Obama shite. After all, our proclaimed largest security threat is Global Schwararma..I mean warming..I mean climate change. Anywho..

The Obama's and Clintons were rarely together so Bill never got to be alone with them. It probably would have gotten messy if he mistook them for an intern, volunteer, or similarly poor and vulnerable female in the white house and raped them like he has done many times.
Seriously Trump should meet with Putin and give him Syria. Russia needs it for geographic/shipping purposes. There is no real interest of the United States there. If Russia treats Syria like they treat Chechnya oh well. Trade him syria for peace in Ukraine. The price for free reign in Syria is help with Iran. Shit we could help them in Syria for that.
And it is really funny watching you dumbshits get all concerned about Russia. I should start digging up what the left was saying when Obama was caught like a fucking idiot telling Putin he will have more freedom after the election on a hot mic.
Seriously PBJ doesn't believe a single word he is saying. The left is completely and totally disingenuous.

2018 is going to go gangbusters for the Republicans.
"I'm impressed!"
Me too. This new totally congress and white house where the working person's issues will, finally, be addressed is going to be awesome.
The working folks finally take their country back.
Carry on.
I hope Sasha and Malia were not within grabbing distance.
Butt hurt cream is probably available through the Althouse Amazon portal. Some of you lefties should purchase it by the case and save money!
The Left's response to this is so pathetic, I'm going to predict now that Republicans pick up a full 10 Senate seats in 2018.

But..but..Bernie is considering running in 2020......
Jelly,
The current admin has set the bar pretty low in elevating the working class.
Anywho...
He is, after all, the first 2 term black president to do so...
Heh..ok..post deleted..everyone use yer imagination.
His legacy is being the first 'black' President. That's it.

I can't wait for the bleating scold to re-appear..reprimanding those dang protesters detracting from his civility bullshit.

"Zakharova added that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton refused similar requests for discussions."
Gee, didn't Obama explain to us early in his Presidency that talking to foreign governments was a good thing?
BadL,

How could this be post Hil' "reset"?
Anywho....
(I'm glad to know we're "crazy rich"..though we were in the red..such a right wing conspiracy)

Russians! Oh no!
Seriously Trump should meet with Putin and give him Syria. Russia needs it for geographic/shipping purposes. There is no real interest of the United States there. Now, hopefully, Trump kept in mind that Obama is a world class liar. He has no intention of helping Trump succeed.
"pick and choose when to engage, which is an invitation for the Russians to escalate probing."
Here PB&J was starting to sound almost reasonable. I guess the Hillary meltdown is sinking in. Putin had a lot invested in her. Millions.
Trump will quietly rebuild our military from the crazy situation where the Navy cannot afford shells for its new $300 million ship.
Teddy Roosevelt said something similar about "Speak softly and carry a big stick."
Obama/Hillary instead bluster and carry a wet noodle.
