"But what I cannot and will not accept is the way this man goes after entire groups of Americans. His comments about the way he feels entitled to grope women are deeply disturbing — but he says it's just 'locker room talk.' When pressed on Sunday night, he doubled down on his excuses and refused to admit he'd done anything wrong."
Says Hillary Clinton in email I received this morning. She's hitting me up for a contribution. (I never contribute to any candidate.) She says "He's shown us again and again how deeply unfit he is to be president. I'm absolutely unwilling to take even the smallest chance that he might win — are you?" That's a good pitch.
Anyway, I disagree with the statement that Trump, at Sunday's debate, "refused to admit he'd done anything wrong." I don't even accept that he said "it's just 'locker room talk.'" He said it "was locker room talk," but not that it was just locker room talk. He also said that he was "not proud of it" and that he "very embarrassed by it" and "I hate it." He also apologized — to his family and to the American people. And he segued to saying ISIS is way worse and, later in the debate, what Bill Clinton did to women was "far worse." To say something else is worse is inherently to say that something is bad. To apologize is to say that what you did was wrong. And to say you are "not proud" of something is to say it was wrong. So even though he began by calling his remark "locker room talk," he didn't stop there.
I know that many of his defenders do stop there. That hurts him. Helps him with hardcore fans, but they're not enough to win, and they drag him down. I think he fought hard for his cause on Sunday night, and he did about as well as he could, but he doesn't have supporters of a kind that could detoxify him. Without middle-of-the-roaders capable of conceiving of embracing him, he's getting smeared up stinkily by those who love him best.
He imagined himself as the star who "can do anything": "They let you do it.... Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything." Now, he's even more famous, and he's toxic — so repellent that Hillary can raise money off the fear of "even the smallest chance that he might win."

But he's a Master Persuader!
Do some persuadin'!
He's toast. Down we go on the slippery slope to becoming England.
But what I cannot and will not accept is the way this man goes after entire groups of Americans.
So you see it's a matter of style. She much prefers the way The Clintons go after entire groups of Americans.
"...That hurts him. Helps him with hardcore fans, but they're not enough to win, and they drag him down."
Indeed.
His hard core fans are so angry - they do drag him down, all while they lecture us on how the democrats are so loyal. Why can't we be loyal? (I am loyal - I'm voting for Trump) Then they explode in rage and vow to vote for democrats.
This election is so depressing. If we lose the House and Senate, it's really over.
David Harsanyi
"Republicans, I’m told, were elected to Congress by the people, and yet they’ve done absolutely nothing. This indictment has now mutated into “Republicans gave President Obama everything he wanted,” i.e., the GOP and Obama were basically colluding against the American voter this whole time. Republicans have been dreadful on plenty of fronts — the quality of their advocacy, the spine they show making arguments, and the lack of innovation and malleability in the focus of their policies, to name a very few — but resistance to Obama’s legislative agenda was definitely not one of them. If Republicans had capitulated in the way the average angry populist claims, Obama would not have needed to enact some of the most consequential abuses of executive power since World War II."
...
My daughter tells me that grab-them-by-the-pussy is a new dance move. Apparently, this is being promoted by Lena Dunham in her Lennyletter.
Hold the pebbles!!
Becoming England is gonna look great in 4 years when we are looking at HillyBilly sitting on mounds of gold in Moscow like Scrooge McDuck.
The best we can hope for is Hilly having a stroke ASAP so Billy can takeover a la Wilson's Edith. He'll be distracted by the interns enough to minimize the damage. I hope.
"As far as expectations go, Republicans deserve blame for making promises they couldn’t possibly fulfill — including the notion that they could repeal Obamacare. Then again, overpromising is not exactly a new political trend. And it’s not as if voters flock to candidates who tell them unvarnished facts about this cruel world of ours. But did Republicans do nothing but surrender the last eight years? RELATED: Congress Stands Athwart Obama’s Imperial Presidency If you’re a conservative who opposes immigration reform, conservatives put an end to it in 2008, when Republicans controlled the White House and Democrats controlled Congress. They stopped it when Obama was in the White House and Democrats controlled both legislative branches. Republicans then filibustered the DREAM Act of 2010 and voted to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, and then many joined the suit against DACA. Yet on numerous occasions I’ve engaged with radio talk-show callers and hosts who are mad at Republicans for not doing enough. Should the RNC send two battalions to shut down the White House?
The GOP was too late to stop Obamacare, and they are partially at fault for failing to deal with health care at all. Yet only one Republican ever voted for Obamacare. The GOP sued Obama for rewriting the law without a vote of Congress and, at this point, I’ve lost count of how many times they’ve voted to repeal ACA. They sent a repeal bill to the president’s desk.
Republicans also stopped cap-and-trade, which would have created a fabricated “market” for energy in the same way Obamacare fabricates “markets” for health insurance. Stopping it helped undermine Democrats’ efforts to make fossil fuels prohibitively expensive — which was, initially, the stated goal of this administration. When Obama circumvented Congress again, Republicans across the country sued the Environmental Protection Agency."
"Conservatives in Congress also put an end to bipartisan gun-control legislation. They stopped the so-called Paycheck Fairness Act — twice — and the Paying a Fair Share Act of 2012, which would have raised taxes. They stopped the American Jobs Act bailout and the authoritarian card-check stuff. They stopped the DISCLOSE Act; and the sequestration replacement; and the Keep Student Loans Affordable Act of 2013; and the across-the-board federal-minimum-wage efforts. Republicans sued and won when Obama abused his power by naming recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board.
This is not nothing."
Ann, you said a lot of words but they're.
Just words.
They don't mean anything.
What do you mean?
What do you think you mean?
What do you think you said?
Read the Whole Thing
I'm tired of being lectured about loyalty by those who will hand us Hillary and other democrats.
"But what I cannot and will not accept is the way this man goes after entire groups of Americans."
I don't know about you, but my immediate thought when reading that is:
"You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic — you name it...Now some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.”
I figured the "war on women" theme from 2012 was a stretch, and they'd never pull it off a second election in a row. But here we are, playing right into their hands. They didn't have to reach much this time.
The pussy defenders are friends of women. Women have to learn to distinguish friends from enemies.
The defenders are saying raise your game. You're being idiots.
I wonder what Hillary wouldn't do to keep Donald Trump from becoming President. Or to put it another way, how far would she go to make sure she's the triumphant one on election day. Anyway, she's only making the same kind of pitch Trump supporters make, anyone but Hillary, she's a monster, she has to be stopped.
This election is like trying to decide between two horrible ways to die, like would I prefer, catching the Ebola virus or being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
I'm absolutely unwilling to take even the smallest chance that he might win — are you?"
Kind of makes me wish I could remember how to do Boolean algebra.
What Paul Ryan and friends need to consider is that while Trump may be toxic to the media, any and all of their candidates are even more toxic to the Republican base.
Hillary goes after entire groups of Americans as well. She calls people the "basket of deplorables." Remember? That's what she does. Plus, like most leftists, she seeks to divide Americans by race and sex and religion and whatever else. That's their game. They can only play those cards. Hillary is NOT a uniter! She doesn't stand up to bullies. She is the biggest bully! Ask the people she's bullied over the decades - the media, Billy Jeff's victims, secret service, people who make youtube videos, etc.
The thing I most fear about a President Trump that he would abuse power. I don't "know" that he would as he's never held elected office. But our democracy in part depends on respecting the limits of power, and this past weekend gave us two new data points to consider. One is how Trump handled the power of celebrity. By his own admission, he used it to target married women. Second, he threatened Hillary with the prosecutorial power of the executive branch. He would appoint a special prosecutor, and moreover, he already knows the outcome of such an investigation - Hillary would be "in jail." Trump's admiration for Putin is well-trod territory, but while Hillary is running for president, Trump appears to be running for dictator.
Help us Vince Foster Trump.
This is the same Limbaugh who repeatedly condemned and mocked Bill Clinton's womanizing and Joe Biden's touchy behavior around woman.
The same Limbaugh who denounced the hypocrisy of liberal and feminists for not criticizing the two men.
But Trump's behavior is okay.
As the saying goes, Trump corrupts everything.
"His hard core fans are so angry - they do drag him down, all while they lecture us on how the democrats are so loyal. Why can't we be loyal? (I am loyal - I'm voting for Trump) Then they explode in rage and vow to vote for democrats."
Apparently you are disloyal because you do not accept the Donald's greatness unquestioningly and see every move he makes as pure winning.
Frankly, Trumpites would be better served if they could be critical of their nominee. It might help them get a better read of the situation and learn to not repeat their mistakes.
Trump right now is convinced he won both debates, and that the polls are all very off and he's about to win by a landslide (look at some of the comments around here for more of that). His strategy right now seems to be "do what it took to win over a third of the GOP electorate, and hope that enough of the rest just shrug and vote for me".
Apparently, Mr. Galbraith doesn't understand the meaning of the word hypocrite. The fact remains that feminists not only defended Bill Clinton from rape charges, but have remained largely silent on many issues facing women throughout the world. There is a VAST difference between speech and action.
"Down we go on the slippery slope to becoming England."
You wish. Thats a stretch goal on the upside. The US PTB are in far worse shape.
The supposition that willingness to choose Trump over the corrupt, incompetent Hillary is an endorsement of his vices is fodder for propagandists, bedwetters and morons.
The propagandists are concealing the fact that Hillary's downside relates directly to her fitness to do the job - specifically her betrayals of the public trust and failures as Sec. Of State. Trump, OTOH, unlike Bill Clinton, merely talks about grabbing pussy. Loutish and offensive, but unrelated to competence.
The bedwetters and morons don't, or can't, distinguish between offensive and incompetent and, like the propagandists apparently are untroubled by Hillary's corruption.
Hasn't this been the approach all along?
No one is going to vote for Hillary because Hillary is great.
Drive them to the polls (bus them) through fear of the other guy. That's how they can win. Hillary isn't Obama.
Some Americans are just bigoted against 'stinky' Americans.

Also - the BS about how the GOP have done NOTHING to stop Obama. Spread by idiots like Sean Hannity. I'm sick of it. Yeah - GOP. imperfect. Horror show compared to those lovely corrupt democrats.
GOP are certainly imperfect, but there is a long list where the GOP stood strong and stopped Obama. A list that is totally ignored by Trump's fans.
I think we should give the electoral votes to Congress, as the people are too easily confused. Same with selecting Senators.
Call the elected person the Prime Minister.
He described the orientation and behavior of women who follow the advice of female chauvinists and humanitarian pornographers. Clinton needs to end her baby hunts and answer for her role in normalizing liberalism.
Vive la sexual revolucion, right?
Women should be taxable, serviceable, and democratically exploitable commodities, right? With progressive planning.
Female chauvinists do not have the best interests of women, men, or babies at heart.
Trump repented. The Pro-Choice Church and its chauvinist leaders remain blissfully ignorant, belligerent, and irredeemable. I suppose this warrants a trial, while the repentant should be sodomized and aborted in the street. Right, Hillary?
The Tell-Tale Hearts beat ever louder.
No pussy she, Hillary shows her claws in a catty fundraising email.
@ Brando
Trump right now is convinced he won both debates, and that the polls are all very off and he's about to win by a landslide ...
Trump's entire life experience is surrounding himself with sycophants who only talk sweet nothings in his ear.
Writ Small:
"The thing I most fear about a President Trump that he would abuse power."
I agree. I also fear (am convinced, actually) that President (Mrs.) Clinton would do likewise. And when she does, she will have her party behind her, the media spinning as hard as they can to put the least harmful interpretation on it, and various branches of the government doing their level best to pass it off as small potatoes.
At least Trump inspires effective pushback.
Ypou put Trump and Cruz together, and it does not leave much for the GOPe in the Republican Party. And both of those, particularly Trump, have shown some ability to peel off some of the Democrat supposedly "faithful" if they have not made much inroads among the famous "independents" - at least not that has shown in the polls.
Now, it may be true that you cannot win without a large share of the "independents," but you sure as hell cannot win without your own base!
"Also - the BS about how the GOP have done NOTHING to stop Obama. Spread by idiots like Sean Hannity. I'm sick of it. Yeah - GOP. imperfect. Horror show compared to those lovely corrupt democrats."
In a world of shameless hacks, Hannity stands out even among them. But more than his hackery what bugs me is how lame his defenses are. Defending Trump isn't easy, but even I could do a better job than Hannity. He really is a worthless pundit.
And anyone thinking Obama gets everything he wants should spend some time talking with leftists--there's a long list of things that went nowhere thanks to GOP opposition. Whatever did pass was watered down, and his regulatory maneuvers got stuck in court. If these cranks really think GOP control does nothing, they may want to compare Obama's accomplishments from 2009-10 vs. 2011-present. Which stretch would be preferable from a conservative perspective?
"GOP are certainly imperfect, but there is a long list where the GOP stood strong and stopped Obama. A list that is totally ignored by Trump's fans."
It's ignored because they live in a cocoon where entire deficits can be wiped away without touching entitlements and raising defense spending, but by simply getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse. This is a factually challenged group.
Apparently, Mr. Galbraith doesn't understand the meaning of the word hypocrite. The fact remains that feminists not only defended Bill Clinton from rape charges, but have remained largely silent on many issues facing women throughout the world. There is a VAST difference between speech and action.
I understand the word hypocrite and those who defended Clinton and Biden (remember him?) while condemning Trump are hypocrites.
Just as much as those who defend Trump and condemned Clinton and Biden.
You want to limit it to just the allegations of rape by Clinton. Trump supporters were attacking Clinton for womanizing period.
And I won't even mention those on the right who condemned Teddy Kennedy's womanizing. If the Trump tape had been a tape on Kennedy the Trumpsters would have gone nuts.
We know who the phonies are here. On both side.
"Trump's entire life experience is surrounding himself with sycophants who only talk sweet nothings in his ear."
And always able to blame others when he blunders.
Trump's entire life experience is surrounding himself with sycophants who only talk sweet nothings in his ear.
Maybe so, but if he believed much of that, he would be living on the streets by now and not in Trump Tower.
"Second, he threatened Hillary with the prosecutorial power of the executive branch. "
He needs to. This is the sine qua non of actually reforming the system.
The corruption of the entire mass is at fatal levels. And no President opposed to it can survive, unless he engages and defeats it. They defeated George Bush, between them. And HE was a player in this web, if only a minor one.
Note that Comey, it turns out, has extensive connections to Clinton and in fact also the Clinton Foundation. No doubt he will also prove to have been involved with the various other intermediary operations of the corporatist web - one came to my attention yesterday, called out as it was in one of the Podesta emails that Maybee found:
- look up Teneo, and the links in that - i.e., who they have been giving money to, often in the "revolving door" game. It used to be that the revolving door was a game for military characters who got retirement jobs with defense contractors, but now it seems its a payoff game handled through hedge funds and their "service providers", like Teneo. I.e., bought by pure concentrations of money.
It was interesting to see Ray Odierno, ex-US Army Chief of Staff in their web, shows how far this has gone. The other nodes in the web would be interesting to map out. No doubt the public face of even this is as nothing to even more hands-off structures.
I, genuinely, don't expect somebody to talk as if they are on camera at all times. Rude and off-color comments are the norm. Our culture is infinitely more vulgar than we he said, and while one can argue "Well, they aren't running for President", he wasn't doing so back then, either.
Were the comments in poor taste? Yup. Does anybody doubt that he probably did kiss women without their expressed consent? Possibly. Non-verbal cues are a major part of communication and they are hard to express.
If Republicans had capitulated in the way the average angry populist claims, Obama would not have needed to enact some of the most consequential abuses of executive power since World War II
But Republicans can stop it. Simply pass legislation demanding Congressional approval for regulations. Simple. Let Obama veto it and then run on the Democrats wanting unaccountable bureaucrats to run your life with little oversight.
They didn't. They complained a lot, but didn't do anything.
The Democrats pushed thru an unpopular Obamacare bill.
The GOP couldn't stop a deeply unpopular immigration policy, a deeply unpopular Iranian bill (Hell, they helped him pass it more easily), and deeply unpopular stifling regulations. They couldn't find a way to enforce some rules on the IRS.
But CONGRESSIONAL Republicans, who could stop it, did nothing. Didn't even try to.
It shouldn't require state legislatures to be the check on the Presidency. That is supposed to be the job of Congress.
They stopped the American Jobs Act bailout and the authoritarian card-check stuff.
The NLRB has STILL, nonetheless, drastically overpowered unions in elections. The GOP's efforts did nothing and, again, they are doing nothing to combat the problem. Killing a bill is nothing if you will just allow bureaucrats to regulate anyway.
Nobody is holding Trump up as a defender of feminism. FEMINISTS defend Clinton and Biden in spite of their worse issues. This isn't a comparison at this point. I will buy that they believe inappropriate sexual comments and behavior are bad when they treat men who claim to ALSO believe that to a standard of any sort.
Haven't seem feminists offering to blow conservatives accused of rape and who have repeatedly harassed underlings, but I have seen that offer made to Dems.
Second, he threatened Hillary with the prosecutorial power of the executive branch. He would appoint a special prosecutor, and moreover, he already knows the outcome of such an investigation - Hillary would be "in jail."
He said he'd appoint an investigator for an investigation of her actions. Are we NOT supposed to do that? Just checking for future reference.
By the actual verbiage of the law, she undoubtedly committed crimes. There is clear evidence of the crimes. She SHOULD be in jail. Using this logic, Nixon was only guilty of some bad decisions. He didn't do anything wrong.
The decisions that led the US to go down the shitter were put in place a long time ago and we're not corrected before the problems became insurmountable. Politicians are arguing about flummery so they can keep their cushy existence for a few years longer.
They ripped off our balls a long time ago and we let them. Everyone needs to grab themselves by the pussy now
You want to limit it to just the allegations of rape by Clinton. Trump supporters were attacking Clinton for womanizing period.
If an atheist violates the Ten Commandments, I don't view it as a problem. If a Christian does so, it is a problem and they should repent.
If you believe something is a problem, YOU --- moreso than anybody else --- should act like it's a problem.
Why was Clarence Thomas smeared and slimed for infinitely less than Clinton did? Hell, there is no evidence that Thomas did anything.
"Maybe so, but if he believed much of that, he would be living on the streets by now and not in Trump Tower."
As long as there are suckers out there with money to lend, invest or just plain give to him, Trump will never have to live in the streets. Deep debt, maybe, but no real poverty.
This, according to his fans, makes him a genius and not a scoundrel.
But Trump's behavior is okay.
As the saying goes, Trump corrupts everything.
Clinton and Biden were high public officials when they did those things.
Trump's entire life experience is surrounding himself with sycophants who only talk sweet nothings in his ear.
And you think politicians don't?
If any other Republican candidate had adopted one or two of Trump's issues, we would not be talking about Trump.
Nobody did.
Maybe it takes a guy this crude and rude and crazy to take on the Deep State and the Ruling Class.
I did not start as a Trump supporter. My question for Ryan, which I have posed at multiple places.
Why when you had the majority in both houses of Congress, did you not go back to "Regular Order" and debate and pass 12 Appropriations bills? That has been the practice of Congress for a century or longer. Harry Reid violated regular order to avoid having to ask his Democrat Senators to vote on controversial bills before elections.
Why did Ryan keep the same Continuing Resolution in place. Obama can issue one veto and shut the government down.
If Ryan, who was chair of Appropriations, had gone to Regular Order, Obama would have to veto 12 bills.
I know this takes some basic Civics when Biden does not know that Article I of the Constitution concerns Congress, not the Executive. Still, who are these genius legislators who are smarter than Trump ?
I bet it is super easy to take whatever Trump throws at her when debate moderators help her out.
No, literally. Chris Harwood sent her campaign emails telling them how to prepare for Carson and asking for praise for attacking Trump when he moderated a debate.
The game was rigged from the start. Trump was right. And it pains me to say that.
"And anyone thinking Obama gets everything he wants should spend some time talking with leftists"
They aren't out to please "leftists".
This is not an ideological system, at all.
Money and power, power and money, thats all.
No need to search for more complex motives.
No, literally. Chris Harwood sent her campaign emails telling them how to prepare for Carson and asking for praise for attacking Trump when he moderated a debate.
Does anybody HONESTLY doubt that Hillary got all of the debate questions in advance at this point?
We've seen her think on her feet.
The love the term Grab em by the pussy. My friends and I are all saying it to each other now.
grab em by the pussy.
Not "Chris Harwood." It's John Harwood. And while I certainly understand the interest in all of those hacked/leaked emails (it all has my interest as well) I think the real suspicious part is not how mainstream media has attacked Trump, but rather how they enabled Trump in the primary season.
http://observer.com/2016/10/wikileaks-reveals-dnc-elevated-trump-to-help-clinton/
Dami: The first debate her answers could be explained by being prepared, and she clearly stumbled to throw Ms. Universe's name out there not having found a good opportunity to until then.
But the second debate? Her answers wove a perfect narrative tying multiple questions back to each other with specific names as examples. She's either insanely prepared, or knew what to prepare for.
Huh. Usually I don't screw up my names that badly. Oh well.
I have no doubt at this point that the DNC told the media to elevate Trump and they did.
Steve M. Galbraith said...
As the saying goes, Trump corrupts everything."
The atmosphere was long ago corrupted by the Clinton's and the lefty pop culture before Trump trash talked in private. But lets dwell on the fake outrage and ignore the real outrages of the Clinton's and Obama.
Does anybody HONESTLY doubt that Hillary got all of the debate questions in advance at this point?
I hate conspiracy theories. My first reaction is always to reject them. And ridicule them.
Still; I cannot help but think that this one is true. What struck me was that last question in the second debate. "What can you say, that you admire about your opponent?" And Hillary seemed to be teed up for it. Like she had been waiting for it. I so wish it could be proven.
Obamacare shows what the Democrats can do with both Houses of Congress and the White House. Now add the Supreme Court and let us see what Hillary! can achieve!
So Hillary can say anything she wants about Trump and she's honorable, but if Trump says anything negative to her, he's a bully. Welcome to modern feminism and liberal thought.
Lets throw it all away because of Paul Ryan. Good thinking.
The polls are BULLSHIT. Republicans have MILLIONS MORE voters than last cycle, while Democrats have MILLIONS LESS. The Crooked Old Lady cannot fill a high school gym, yet they claim she is winning.
For Instance:
The guy that runs the Company (Hart Industries) that NBC contracted to do the "NBC poll" poll donated $178.5K to The Crooked Old Lady, and actively supported the re-election of the Usurper Obama. Supposedly the Crooked Old Lady is up 11 points in this NBC poll that is then linked by every Media outlet (because there are no "journalists" they just copy each other). They are trying to discourage Trump voters, while he is winning by a landslide.
Be a real journalist "law prof". At least do some service to your readers. You could have been a big factor in the Usurper being exposed, but instead you don't even know what a natural born Citizen is, and now since you voted for the Usurper look what he has done to America---- I blame you, and those like you, for not warning people. The United States ended on Jan. 10, 2009.
Now you report on the "polls" like they are real. Do you really think Unemployment is 5%? do you think the stock market is worth anywhere near where it is now, or is it all the free money given to the banks and stock buybacks that are blowing a bubble. If they can tell these lies, they can also lie about the Crooked Old Lady "winning".
Read the real story about "polls". This is just one, I bet all are the same.
The "Polls" are Bullshit.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-11/latest-nbcwsj-poll-utter-nonsense
Landslide TRUMP--- the real numbers are 62%-- 30%-- 8%
It's not close.
Your point about the dangers coming from Trump's supporters is an excellent point and it goes beyond just this specific "locker room language" issue. One of the reasons I quit political campaigning is that you had to worry more about your own supporters than you worry about your opponents. Politics in general attracts a lot of people with mental problems and those people get carried away. They bring their "issues" into the campaign and the people running the campaign have to clean up after them. It's a thankless task. Clinton has her problem as well: people who support her are going around neighborhoods trespassing, vandalizing homes and yard signs, and even assaulting people who support Trump. I saw You Tubes featuring this behavior and it brought back bad memories.
As has been noted before by others; if the election is about Hillary, Donald will win, and if the election is about Donald, then Hillary will win. Since the media is for Hillary, it is likely that the election will continue to be about Donald irrespective of what Hillary does. It is reminiscent of Stalin's view that what is important is who counts the votes rather than who votes.
The good thing about the crazies that campaigns attract is that they'll likely disappear after the election.
Then the parties are back to the same old regulars that everyone loves to hate.
She knows how to handle a bully? Like Billy? Who gropes and rapes and bites a woman's lip until it's 4x its normal size?
The way she handled THAT bully was to threaten the women who were groped and bitten and raped. And there are many more, who are still afraid to come out of the woodwork, because they know Hillary knows how to handle a bully. They also like their pets, and don't want to find them dead on their porches.
Hillary handles her Billy, er, bully, by hiding him behind her ample ass, so that she can achieve power.
So, thanks for nothing, Hillary. I'm voting for the sexist pig.
The Republicans were ready to jump on board the "gang of eight" amnesty. Ryan had the votes right up until Cantor lost his primary over illegal immigration. Republicans have repeatedly been unwilling to play hardball. Lame lawsuits - please. What about the power of the purse. Republicans refuse to fully use the power they do have. That is because both parties share a portion of the donor class and prioritize their desires over the voting class. Rumors that a top Ryan advisor leaked the Trump tape are very easy to believe, Dan Senor continuing to push the Trump tape post debate give the rumors added credibility. I am disgusted by the Republican party. I did not start out pro-Trump, but the ugly truths his candidacy have revealed about Republican leadership disgust me. If Trump does not win - unsure how I will feel about supporting the party in the future.
The bully thing is pretty funny in light of the email released yesterday where Doug Brand said Bill and Chelsea drove the head of the foundation to the brink of suicide.
Nobody enabled Trump. His campaign sprouted from 30 years of politicians enriching themselves while making most Americans worse off and ensuring that the short term enrichment of politicians cause long term insurmountable problems for the country.
If Trump was pissed at me personally, he would attack me on twitter. Hillary ,and her allies, would destroy my reputation and attempt to ruin my life. Just like the libs attack and destroy bakers and florists who do not agree with them.
Mick,
I don't know if ALL the polls are wrong.
But you bring up another interesting connection in the web.
Peter Hart (Hart Research) is a made man in that system. In Wiki he has a lot of corporate clients and is a go-to man for polls and analysis and the like. He is embedded.
Hart gave the Clinton foundation a small pile of money, no doubt as a cutout from some larger player or players - quite a few "small" and unaccountable organizations gave money to the Clinton foundation, including for instance various African groups with no discernable assets or income.
This is the nature of corruption on a more sophisticated level. Favors are traded at one or more removes, do me a good one and my pal or a pals pal will take care of you, if not now at some point when its more OK to call in your chit. Or I will pay you for favor A by telling my pal B to find some mook C to pay you.
This is, for instance, why and how Carlos Slim is playing the NYT. Its a political asset, he lets various influential operators run it to suit them, he keeps the thing solvent, pays off the owners by buying up their shares, and he gets favorable treatment from the USG, such as protection from investigation. It may even be he was blackmailed into this.
In any case, its a system.

Well, even corrupt influence-peddling organizations of vast scope have personnel issues.
I bet they are even human.
Anyway, other than in terms of actual votes, whats going on has nothing really to do with what Trump says or to who. All of that is simply a tool.
This is a power struggle between an organized system and a disorganized mass, that it has pissed off, between a rodeo rider and the bronco. You lot are the bronco. The rider is using every trick he knows.
Very unserious people are terribly upset that DT said "pussy" 11 years ago. Hillary used the word kike at least once on tape and therefore probably a lot more out of hearing. She defended her horndog husband and his womanizing and his abuse of his position by getting blow jobs from a low paid employee of his.
But DT said pussy 11 years ago and 90 fucking million Americans are not in the workforce but....pussy. We seem to have adopted flexibility with respect to the enforcement of our "laws" but....pussy. People stream into the country or overstay their visas and you are a racist, a pussy sayer, if you think that is a bad idea.
Why would Hillary hit up the Professor for donations, why doesn't she just hit up her Chinese and Arab friends? They've always come through in the past.
Hillary writes to Althouse. Does she write to men too or are they a lost cause?
"Why would Hillary hit up the Professor for donations, why doesn't she just hit up her Chinese and Arab friends? They've always come through in the past."
Because there is money in this. Moreso, because it is yet another form of media - the point of much of this mailing and small scale fundraising is actually electioneering - they are getting their message out, right? You are committed, sort of, if you send them $20?
Moreso, there is money in organizing and operating a fundraising scheme. There is a whole industry that makes their living with mailers and fundraising. They are part of the system, the parasites off the bigger parasites, the smaller fleas on the bigger fleas.

Has smaller fleas that on him prey;
And these have smaller fleas to bite 'em.
And so proceeds Ad infinitum."

Hillary can do anything she wants---she grabs the DOJ & FBI right on the pussy and they love it.
@AprilApple - Thank you for your posts up top (e.g. 11:48).
I have gone from being hopeful for what might be to fearful of what will happen if Republicans lose the House (it seems inevitable that they will lose the Senate).
The problem with systems like this is they consume everything, the entire economy, drive all public policy, and ruin everyone in power, because they all HAVE to be in the web. No-one is trustworthy, everyone is compromised, nothing can be done without being compromised.
Hence Argentina.

This is a very predictable debate question. Almost a cliche. Even Trump seemed prepared for this one.
Bless you all for Donald Trump, the most sensational mole in American political history. Ha Ha!
If he's getting "smeared up stinkily by those who love him best," it is because they can read the real connotations of his apology accurately. I do not buy that his acknowledgement of his crudity was honest, given that he did absolutely NOTHING to reveal the slightest bit of regret about any of it. I think his stinkily lovers did not want him to be regretful or care that he went through a pretense of apologizing since they correctly see he did not regret a thing. Instead what they loved was that he immediately pivoted to excuse himself by saying "but. . . BILL CLINTON." I was sorry to see all those victims of Clinton allowing themselves to be abused yet again, but that is exactly what happened to them. Pathetic. Just because the Democrats are in fact indifferent regarding all this, while pretending outrage at Trump, does not mean Trump is not outrageous - and also a now totally mortal threat to the Republican Party. If it does not thoroughly disengage from him now, it will be doomed for a generation at least. Mary Beth of Colby, Wisconsin, by the way, has sounded this death knell better than anyone else I know.
According to the Dowager Empress, Trump is a bully? Talk about projection!
buwaya, I am responding to your earlier claims.
Amongst OECD nations the US sits in the middle of the pack for labor force participation rate, not exactly falling off the map. But, this performance is much better than it looks. European nations do two things to pump up this number that the US does not do. With higher tax rates the government employs many more people as a fraction of the population and they provide much more generous maternity leave to stop the loss of women from the workforce. If you want to advocate for higher taxes I am sure that the labor participation rate in the US could be pumped up to European levels.
Some of the countries ahead of the US in labor participation rates have remarkable rates of government employment as a fraction of total employment: Denmark 34.9%; Norway 34.6%; Sweden 28.1%; compared to the US 14.6%.
Apples and oranges comparison.
Here are some funny anti-Trump tweets from the debate:
buzz feed
“…Whatever the explanation, Trump achieved the worst possible outcome for the GOP. He was good enough with his base to avoid a generalized revolt; and bad enough with the rest of the country to continue his slide toward major defeat…”
“…Until recently, it was presumed, by both critics and supporters, that the GOP was the party of traditional moral order. Under Trump, it seems much more like British conservatism at its worst -- hate and mock the liberals, fear the outsiders, and put a topless woman on page 3. The deep partisanship of Trump evangelicals -- fighting for a team rather than standing for principles -- is actually aiding the secularization of American politics…”

"And, we're back."
Not for long.
Only people I know voting for Hillary are a handful of nut job women who are only interested in the fact Hillary has a vagina. Trump is our savior and if he is not elected the GOP can hang it up.
Landslide TRUMP--- the real numbers are 62%-- 30%-- 8%
It's not close.
I have no idea how the election will go. It probably is a good idea to watch Clinton and her campaign. They may have a better idea of how it is going than they let on.
Expect real nastiness the next month if it looks like it is going south on them, especially turnout. They are desperate for black turnout so I expect the next Trump tape to have a racial slur, probably the "N word". I assume Conway is aware of this and is prepared. I'm sure there are tapes around of Clinton, Bill or Hill, or maybe Lyndon Johnson saying "Those n****rs will vote Democrats for 40 years after this."
Of course, the Trump people will get no help from the media.
So far no terrorist attack of note. Maybe the Hillary campaign has told them to shut up for another month.
The real question is after the Dems take complete control over the government in 2016 and do their inevitable overreach in 2017-2018, will 2018 be like 2010? If 2018 isn't the usual mid-term correction back to the GOP, I will declare this country over.
I find it amazing that those who believe Trump is 'double Hitler' think Hillary is any better.
That was my thought. Hillary has never been strong off-the-cuff. I cannot fathom any way she develops answers like that on the fly. Cruz, who is an excellent debater and is good on the fly, couldn't do that.

This is a very predictable debate question. Almost a cliche. Even Trump seemed prepared for this one.
In what sense did Trump seem prepared for the question? Trump and his supporters have spent months saying Hillary has no stamina and is too frail for the job. Trump then says Hillary is a fighter who never gives up.
Well, never mind then.
"His comments about the way he feels entitled to grope women are deeply disturbing — but he says it's just 'locker room talk.' When pressed on Sunday night, he doubled down on his excuses and refused to admit he'd done anything wrong."
He imagined himself as the star who "can do anything": "They let you do it.... Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything." Now, he's even more famous, and he's toxic — so repellent that Hillary can raise money off the fear of "even the smallest chance that he might win."
As far as I can tell, he didn't do anything wrong. He simply stated a fact about what, if you're famous enough, "you" can do.

Exactly. I've yet to meet someone who thinks this is sexual assault tell me how it is. I've asked for a simple syllogism but no one will give it to me.
I assume it goes like this.
1) Grabbing someones pussy is sexual assault.
2) Trump said he grabs pussy.
3) therefore Trump is guilty of sexual assault.

The misinformation spinning from the the Hannity-Trump camp is astounding. They would rather waste time beating up on the GOP than Hillary.
Some levity is needed.
"In what sense did Trump seem prepared for the question? Trump and his supporters have spent months saying Hillary has no stamina and is too frail for the job. Trump then says Hillary is a fighter who never gives up."
That's an excellent point. Clearly he didn't prepare for that debate, either. Talk about undermining his own message.
He should have just said something like "she was nice enough to come to my wedding."
Original Mike. you are welcome.
The Trump-Hannity beat down of the GOP is getting old. Hillary must be laughing her pussy off.
Oh look, Donna Brazile, when she was at CNN, emailed the Clinton campaign with a death penalty question the day before she asked that same question at the Town Hall debate in May.
Now, to be fair, this is how they responded to the story:
Business Insider is reporting that a Democratic party official says that Brazile’s email was not based on a CNN town hall question. Instead, the official claims that the question was for a panel Brazile was set to appear on.
But Mediaite notes that the question asked by town hall co-host Roland Martin was very similar to the message Brazile sent to Palmieri.
“Secretary Clinton, since 1976, we have executed 1,414 people in this country. Since 1973, 156 who were convicted have been exonerated from the death row. This gentleman here is one of them,” Martin said in his introduction of Jackson, citing statistics that were included in the same email Brazile sent to the campaign.
Around our house, Hannity's nickname is "doofus".
Trump said "she's a fighter who never gives up."
Geez - what more proof do you need that he's in this thing to hand it to her?
"Landslide TRUMP--- the real numbers are 62%-- 30%-- 8%
It's not close."
Ok, we'll mark that down as your prediction. If you are even close to correct, you'll be the new Nate Silver.
I think Hillary will win this, by about five points. Not sure how the third party will shake out.
"The misinformation spinning from the the Hannity-Trump camp is astounding. They would rather waste time beating up on the GOP than Hillary."
Well, Hannity definitely counts as "deplorable".
Seems they'd like to burn down the GOP and let the Dems have Congress if some no-influence endorsers don't get back in line. At this rate, it might be better for all involved if that gang just splits off and forms their own party, as clearly they have no use for the people in it. Why force everyone to stay in a marriage that clearly isn't working out?

His answer was the only one of his that my wife approved of. If the goal is to win over undecided voters this was a reasonable response. I was taken aback by his response but thought it was much more generous than Clinton's answer.
If the GOP doesn't want to be attacked, maybe it should stop trying to push out its presidential candidate and start showing some freaking spine.
This is why they get attacked. Because they've shown this is what works. They are cowards. Easily pushed around by the media news story of the day.
It's disgusting. If they are afraid of harsh words from Hannity and Trump, maybe they should get out of Politics.
Politics ain't beanbag.
Brando, don't bother with any "predictions" from Mick. I already asked him to put money on it and he won't.
The nice part of guys like Mick is that they are so far out of any realm of reality, they cannot later be the pussies who crawl back later on and say that their guy got jobbed by bad press coverage, or sneaky election tricks.
Mick is off by about 10 million voters.
Come on, Mick! Don't take any of this shit from me. Bet me. Make me eat my words. I am taunting you; telling you that the Trump meltdown has begun. And that you suck. Let's bet on it.
eric;
I think all of the Queens/Staten Island douchebags (Trump, O'Reilly, Hannity, Bolling) are going to find out how much spine we have when they attack us for not being loyal to this moronic candidate.
"His answer was the only one of his that my wife approved of. If the goal is to win over undecided voters this was a reasonable response. I was taken aback by his response but thought it was much more generous than Clinton's answer."
More generous, yes, but completely undercut his whole "stamina" argument (which he's still putting out ads for!). If he'd expected a question like that (and any prepped candidate would) he'd have had something else ready. Maybe "I like the work she did for so and so charity back in the 1980s"--makes him look gracious, but doesn't mess up his own message.
The fact that "hard worker" and "fighter" is what comes immediately to his mind just proves he doesn't believe his own BS about her health.
"This is why they get attacked. Because they've shown this is what works. They are cowards. Easily pushed around by the media news story of the day."
I do agree they are cowards, as they were for endorsing the guy in the first place. It was also stupid--they had nothing to gain by doing it.
I also think this latest issue is sort of lame--if they were going to bail on him, they had many better reasons months ago (when bailing might have at least let them distance from him for their own elections).
But there's no obligation to back a guy who is anathema to what you stand for. I wouldn't expect an Alt-Righter to back a libertarian, and I wouldn't expect Hannity to back anyone who didn't help his own ratings.
The Hillary health stuff is lame.
People don't really care. Most people think - "eh... if she drops dead, all the better."
Nancy O'Dell addresses Trumps vulgar comments:
"I released a statement on Saturday and I truly mean what I said," she continued. "There is no room for objectification of women, or anyone for that matter, not even in the 'locker room.' The conversation has got to change because everybody deserves respect, no matter the gender or setting. And as a mom, I have to add that our kids, especially our young girls, need to know that their hard work, their achievements, their intelligence, their heart are most important, and those things will not go unnoticed."

"Brando, don't bother with any "predictions" from Mick. I already asked him to put money on it and he won't."
How would anyone put money on it? We don't have any way of collecting.
I did like the idea of us all posting predictions, in one thread, so we can check back later and see how we did. But Althouse must not have liked the idea.
"People don't really care. Most people think - "eh... if she drops dead, all the better.""
True--if I believed she wouldn't last a month in office, I would actually be fine with her getting elected.
"How would anyone put money on it? We don't have any way of collecting."
Leave the envelope in the trash can by the phone booth. Walk away and don't look back.
I was taken aback by his response but thought it was much more generous than Clinton's answer.
Hmm. Good point. I found myself warming to the guy at that point, I have to admit. My interpretation of it as a Trump doubter was different. Trump's personality is one that strongly craves approval. That's the innocent explanation for his taped talk on the bus, by the way - that he was exaggerating his star power seeking the admiration of Billy Bush. When Hillary said something nice about him, that was like mana from heaven, and he could not psychologically prevent himself from returning the favor - even as it undercut one of his main arguments against her.
@Aprilapple
"Then they explode in rage and vow to vote for democrats."
Not in rage, in hopelessness. I live in a swing district of NYC. With TeaParty support the seat turned Republican. Being a Republican district in a blue state makes it harder to get your share of the goodies being handed out. You pay just as much but your schools, roads..... are all last on the list for funding. Now there are rumors that the Trump tape was leaked by Ryan - a fellow Republican. Republican leadership appears determined to elect HRC and pass amnesty. If Trump loses hard to see why I shouldn't vote Democrat next election and move my district up the food chain. My vote won't matter anyway, once they pass amnesty my district will no longer be swing, it will be solid Dem.
He simply stated a fact about what, if you're famous enough, "you" can do.
UNRELATED: Girlfriend of Scott Adams.
CC - we are all in the same boat regarding amnesty and flooding the voter rolls with new immigrant voters who are given free stuff.
I do want to beat Hillary to stop that, but misplaced blame is not going to help Trump win at this point.
"People don't really care. Most people think - 'eh... if she drops dead, all the better.'"
Wrong. Hillary! is bad, but the country will be even worse off with Congress and the Supreme Court in Democrat hands, and a spineless party hack in the White House.
Brando said...The fact that "hard worker" and "fighter" is what comes immediately to his mind just proves he doesn't believe his own BS about her health.

Proves nothing. It's a civility bullshit question.
I would bet it came to mind because it was on his mind..about himself.
I am curious why those above who don't think that a special prosecutor should be appointed think that way. The problem all along is that Crooked Hillary very likely did commit a large number of felonies with her private, insecure, illegal email server. Dir. Comey essentially laid that out with his report - the legal standard is gross negligence, not specific intent.. He laid out a gross negligence case. He just wasn't going to get an Obama/Lynch DoJ prosecutor to take the case (after 8 years of litmus test hiring of attys there), and wasn't going to get a unanimous jury for a guilty verdict in heavily Dem/black DC. And, while the crime was bad enough, the coverup was worse. Her co-conspirators were allowed to (illegally) act as her attys, shielding their communications with her, despite being on the govt. payroll at the time. And, they had the email server scrubbed AFTER court and Congressional subpoenas had been issued. The whole thing needs to be looked at, by people who didn't owe their positions to the Clintons or Obama. Why shouldn't she face the consequences of here illegal actions? Do you really believe that she should be above the law? Because she is so special?
CC-
Now there are rumors that the Trump tape was leaked by Ryan - a fellow Republican. Republican leadership appears determined to elect HRC and pass amnesty.
Rumors. (Also -the Dems messing with heads) The GOP is desperate to keep Hillary out. Even Ryan. The idea that democrats had nothing to do with that leak, after NBC sat on it? really?
I think the GOP ran for the exits after the sex tape leak hoping Trump would drop out. Now that they know he won't, they are coming back to him. Trump has everyone by the short hairs.
Walter is right. Trump may believe (as many of us do) that her health is falling apart as we watch, but that isn't something that you talk about in that forum, and,, esp. not when asked to say something nice about her. Again, in that debate, a place where he looked better than she, because she really couldn't say anything good about him personally.
Blogger Cacimbo Cacimbo said..."Now there are rumors that the Trump tape was leaked by Ryan - a fellow Republican. Republican leadership appears determined to elect HRC and pass amnesty."
Oh, for Christ's sake.
Hagar - I'm talking Trump hitting her health issues. Yes - Hillary is a horrible monster. She's full-on corrupt. But nobody cares about her health. Her health failing is a good thing! So nobody cares. Trump would be better off creating ads about her endless corruption and how everything she touches turns to sh*t.
Look at Haiti - Instead of helping Haiti - the Clinton Foundation RAPES poor Haiti.
Trump's supporters are disappointing?
Not really surprising since the American people as a whole are a pretty disappointing bunch.
Ask Obama, we disappoint him constantly.
Dear Reince Priebus:
Stop asking me for money. I cannot continue to give donations to a party that ignores its voters and will not support its own party’s nominee. In the past I have been generous in my support, considering my modest circumstances, but that was before I knew what self-defeating idiots you all really were.
Your boys in Congress have managed to be as arrogant as they are ineffective, even though supporters like me elected them to the House and Senate and gave them a majority to ensure they addressed our concerns. They need to grab their pussies and step aside for politicians who possess a working set of cojones.
Mr. Priebus and Mr. Ryan, you had better hope that Trump wins, because if he doesn’t the GOP is toast and your cushy jobs are gone, gone, gone. Millions of us will ditch the GOP and look for alternatives to the GOP/Democrat dick-dance.
Mia Love, I liked you and sent you money but you oppose Trump … so no more. Get re-elected without my usual donation.
McCain, I donated to your campaign and voted for you. No More.
Likewise: Joni Ernst and Cory Gardner – run without my help from now on.
Paul Ryan, from now on I will be supporting ANY future primary opponent you have. Then, in the general I’ll send money to anyone on the ballot that is not GOP and not Democrat.
Yours,
Grackle
So Rinse coming out and saying he's sticking with Trump means nothing?
I don't believe that any true Republicans leaked the tape, and esp not Speaker Ryan. Too big of a potential downside. If Ryan were caught, he would very likely lose his Speakership, and maybe even his Congressional seat. Ditto for most any other Republican. Except maybe some of the Bushes, who likely won't be running for national election for a couple decades (George P. Looks like he is being prepped and groomed, but he is still working his way up through TX politics).
It was clearly staged, primed, and timed by the Crooked Hillary campaign. The network apparently sat on it for quite awhile and then released it the week after the previous October surprise. They may be fine with destroying Trump, but coordinate too closely with her campaign to do so without their approval and subject to their timing. The reason that these things have to be staged and timed is that otherwise one scandal will overshadow another (which the Obama Administration is a master at utilizing, rushing out multiple scandals so that the net effect is lessened). They need to give each hit on Trump sufficient time to work, before going on with the next one.
I am more loyal to Trump than I am to the GOP. I rather hope they all get defeated. Of course, they'll blame it on Trump. They are SO clueless!
April/Apple became as bad as Chuck a long time ago. She sticks with her failed theories, like Trump is a pretend candidate to help Clinton into the White House. That must be why he said if he were President she's be in jail.

Grackle, I have also stopped contributing. The one guy I have always liked in California was Tom McClintock, who should have been governor. He was defeated in the GOP primary by another RINO who went on the lose to Grey Davis who wrecked the state.
McClintock is solidly behind Trump.

This is actually a pretty insightful comment. I'm sure a significant plurality of Americans, including a big chunk of Democrat base voters, would be very comfortable with HRC stroking out. They don't want her opponent, but they'll be happy to see her gone.

The worst Republican nominee since Wendell Wilkie. And I think there is a strong case to be made that Wilkie was a much better man, than Trump.

The anti-Ryan hysteria is a reaching obscene paranoia. Thank you for that levity.
The GOP does not want Hillary. They think Trump is going to lose, so they want him to drop out. They saw that sex comment as a way out. Doesn't mean they leaked it. That leak and the timing of the leak, has the Dems/Hillary/Media collective all over it.
2008 was a very winnable election against a junior Senator with virtually no experience, and 2012 was a very winnable election against the jerk who foisted ObamaCare upon the nation; so what's your point, Chuck?
"The anti-Ryan hysteria is a reaching obscene paranoia."
It only going to get worse. Trump's lose will be Ryan's fault. Just watch.
2008 - we were doomed. After 8 years of Bush, the young well spoken smooth polished black guy with his promises of smooth seas was impossible to beat. McCain was a poor choice, but it probably didn't matter.
Hillary is not Obama. She is entirely beatable.
There was no way in hell Obama wasn't going to be elected the first black President. 2012 was closer after he had a record, but he was still black. Hillary, OTOH, is a horrible candidate. Nobody likes her. Virtually any of the Republican primary candidates would have cleaned her clock.

Maybe the ubiquity will be fun precisely because it's so obvious. That is, we could compare costumes. You could imagine 12% of the guys dressed as the Bone. I guess the dudes w/ naturally balding hair and fatness will be the winners of the Bone look competition. Anywho, don't let anyone tell you that it's never best to be a loser. I have figured out your problem. You are just fucking stupid.
I am going to go back and finish up a bid on a house renovation. I didn't even have to pull any permits on this one but it still took 3 weeks and a wide variety of skills. Some of the projects Trump has completed are massively complicated in a way you obviously cannot comprehend. Some of them took years. He is obviously organized and competent in a way no politician is even close to. I guarantee you that Hillary is not nearly as smart or as capable as Trump. If he just hired sycophants like you say those projects never would be even close to getting done. You will just slurp up any retarded thing CNN throws out there for you and use that as your excuse.
Is he crude and mean? Real people sometimes are. Hillary is. But while Hillary supporters are too stupid to know they are being taken advantage of the democrat party is smart enough to know that you have to unite your coalition to win.

“Donald Trump’s psychopathy has been on full display on the national political stage for over a year,” he said. “I want folks to know that Trump is a child rapist and that he is currently being sued in a civil action in NY federal courts for raping, slapping an 13-year-old girl at a Jeffrey Epstein party in 1994. Trump also threatened to murder the girl, now age 35 and a Jane Doe plaintiff, and also murder her family if she ever told how he [Trump] sexually abused her.”
While Bone wore his Izod quarter zip red sweater, Mrs. Trump wore her "Pussy Bow" Gucci blouse to troll the media.

It only going to get worse. Trump's lose will be Ryan's fault. Just watch.
My kids are always trying to blame each other for their fighting. I try and impart to them a fundamental truth that you'd be wise to hear now.
There is always plenty of blame to go around. Of course it'll be Ryan's fault. And Trump's. And yours. And mine. The difference is, you and I and Trump won't be elected officials. So there won't be any way for anyone to punish us for losing. Ryan, on the other hand....
"Don't forget the record low inflation."
Original Mike: "That's a symptom of the tepid economy. Nothing to celebrate"
When one considers how much cash the Fed has pumped in every year of the obambi presidency the "tepid-ness" of the economy, resulting in limited inflation, is incredible.
The piper will be paid of course. Debts always come due.

One wonders how we get such idiots.
This was already thrown out of court once. On November 10th it'll be fine again. It's a lawsuit for the sheeple. Not a real thing.

If the dems are pulling that one out it can only mean one thing: there must be some very big news involving Bill with Epstein that the dems must project onto Trump.
This is one of the oldest leftist/clintonian tactics which was in perpetual effect during the 90's.

You'd be OK with Krazy Kaine ?
Grackle, I have also stopped contributing. The one guy I have always liked in California was Tom McClintock, who should have been governor. He was defeated in the GOP primary by another RINO who went on the lose to Grey Davis who wrecked the state.
McClintock is solidly behind Trump.
I allowed myself to be convinced by Hugh Hewitt many years ago to vote for Arnold over Tom. I still regret that decision to this day.

Trump would not be President if Paul Ryan put him up at his home and carried his bags. Trump's loss will be on Trump.

It's scary.
There are Republicans in Austin, Texas?
Can't be so..Obama just told us how good the economy has become under his stewardship.
Which "groups of Americans" has Trump gone after? Illegal immigrants are not Americans, neither are refugees. Maybe he went after some deplorable and irredeemable Americans?
Hillary is the only major candidate who has gone after "groups of Americans."
This is the rape lawsuit that was originally filed in LA for a hundred million bucks and then thrown out. Twenty years after the alleged rape, I believe. Sounds realistic. Lulz

Good point, Terry!

Is this the part where we all pretend all of the same things would not be happening to any Republican nominee?
Hey, did you know that Romney forced a guy to commit suicide as an adult after having had some hair cut off during a high school prank? Plus, Romney killed a woman with cancer. And he hadn't paid taxes in 10 years.
Obama has printed or borrowed >12% of our GDP every year for his entire term and hasn't even broke 2% growth.
That is pathetic in every possible way.
Did I forget the part where some member of Romney's family funded the Nazi's? Oh that's right, that's what they did to HW and W.
Romney tied the family dog to the roof of his station wagon!

It does make less GDP growth go further, that's math.
Hey..calling them deplorable doesn't mean she has a quarrel with them.
She said that with a straight face. Maybe "deplorable" is just one of those public positions.
"It does make less GDP growth go further, that's math."
Yeah, if you already have a job.
Original Mike again!
There was no way in hell Obama wasn't going to be elected the first black President. 2012 was closer after he had a record, but he was still black. Hillary, OTOH, is a horrible candidate. Nobody likes her. Virtually any of the Republican primary candidates would have cleaned her clock.
To think, a month ago was September 11, with the Clinton pneumonia collapse and health scare prompting a tightening of the polls over the following week. Then came the first debate, and it has really been over ever since. Remember, the veep debate thumping of Kaine did not reverse the polls. That first debate performance was on Trump (and on the handlers who didn't make him prepare). As the wikileaks disclosure of an internal Clinton camp email stated, Clinton would be in big trouble, given her political problems, were the Republican nominee anyone but Trump. Even Cruz had a 50-50 shot.
Assertion as fact -- yeehah! Where's your proof that any other Republican candidate would have cleaned her clock?
Proof - she cannot break 50% and Trump sucks.
"Assertion as fact -- yeehah! Where's your proof that any other Republican candidate would have cleaned her clock?"
That's what's called an opinion, but look at her numbers. No one likes her, no one trusts her. And 12 years of one party in the White House is very unusual.
PB&J: "It does make less GDP growth go further, that's math."
LOL
In math you show your work.
Feel free to show yours: how this lower inflation fueled by deficit spending and continuous priming of the pump has made "less GDP go further".
Don't worry, no one will actually be looking for a coherent response. The reason for that is (spoiler alert!): there isn't one.
Feel free to explore the impact of the Social Security Trust Fund owning most of the US debt.
God, people really are talking about the Republicans losing the House now. I need to get a drink and go sit by the lake.
AprilApple: "Proof - she cannot break 50% and Trump sucks."
Well, if that makes you feel better about your operational tactics which redound to Hillary's benefit.
It is a FACT that Trump is losing. So it stands to reason that anyone else would be able to beat an incredibly horrible disrespected universally disliked and distrusted Hillary.
Instead of discussing her criminality, we are talking about Trump's ego. He was slighted by a fat chick, a gold star dude, Paul Ryan... It never ends.
Many wanted "burn it down" - you're getting your wish.
Rich Lowry
"There will be every incentive for Trump to exacerbate rather than try to smooth over, or at least look past, the divide. Hitting back at his party critics energizes his fans, and, if he is headed for a loss in November, it sets up a stabbed-in-the-back narrative after the election.
The period before the first presidential debate, when Trump pulled close to a tie with Hillary Clinton, feels like an eon ago. He had come back with a month of relative discipline beginning in mid-August that now looks like a parenthesis in an otherwise recklessly selfish campaign. That Trump would become a poisonous wedge issue within the GOP was always a plausible worst-case scenario. Now, it is upon us. Trump supporters in the primaries wanted to “burn it down.” They may well be able to point to the wreckage of the post-November GOP as an indicator of their smashing success."
Original Mike: "God, people really are talking about the Republicans losing the House now. I need to get a drink and go sit by the lake"
Yes.
They are.
All at once.
Almost as if it were planned or an organized tactic or something.
Like they always do.
But go ahead and curl up in a ball. That should help. Don't be afraid to suck on your thumb while you are at it.
Did Trump really think of himself as a "star" in 2005? He was a celebrity, but not a star.
"The Apprentice" didn't even start until 2008. I think he was speaking subjunctively to Bush and the "Access Hollywood" crew, as in "I know some 'stars' who can get away with "anything". Bill Clinton, maybe?
And remember, Trump had just recounted how he'd gotten shut-down by Nancy O'Dell. So if Trump considered himself a "star" how did that happen.
Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.
Bush: Whatever you want.
Trump: Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.
AprilApple: "It is a FACT that Trump is losing. So it stands to reason that anyone else would be able to beat an incredibly horrible disrespected universally disliked and distrusted Hillary"
Wow. Talk about non sequiturs.
Polls are not facts. Never go full retard.

You people so want to believe this. Nobody could ever beat obama. That wasn't Romney's fault. But trumps loss is his fault.
We are going to keep fighting with or without you. We know if there is anything hard you can't be trusted. People like you always have an excuse. You were born into freedom and were not worthy of it. You can't even take the verbal scorn of people who support Hillary.
You want to believe this garbage that it is all trumps fault because you don't want to admit you are cowards who would rather accept Hillary as president than commit to an actual fight. It will never get any easier.
Virtually any of the Republican primary candidates would have cleaned her clock.
Maybe, but American elections aren't yet cock fights where independent promoters get to match one rooster against another or a college dorm where freshmen are doing imaginary matchups between Megacroc and Pythosaur over a toasty bong. Much of this talk sounds like the latter, since you don't have a prayer of beating Hillary until you first have a prayer of becoming the nominee. Or Pythosaur.
Laura Ingraham provides a breakdown of the respective number of American voters who wanted a candidate other than Donald Trump to run against Hillary.
If you want another system, you'll either need to change ours or pick another country.
AprilApple: "Original Mike-Trump and his supporters are going to gas the place before they leave."
Well gee, that sounds like a measured response.
If Trump wants to turn it around, he's welcome to do so. I'll be the first to congratulate him. We are running out of time.
Let's jump on board with the HillTrolls here, the mediaswine and the Clintonistas, sparing Hillary and dumping on Trump. If we can maintain some kind of critical mass we can have 8 years of more of the same, but with an increase in the grifting and corruption.
Just what the country needs. Oh yeah, and maybe war with Russia and more Muslim refugees. Whoopee!!
Laura Ingrham thought Trump did well in the second debate?
uh -that's some major koolaid drinking right there.
