I wonder how many votes the fact that the Dropkick Murphey's "literally hate" Scott Walker will cost him?
If a baker is forced to bake a cake, why isn't a musician forced to allow music that they publicly licensed be used regardless of the politics or religion of the purchaser?
Music is a craft that can be raised to the level of an art, like baking a cake. In fact, one of the defining characteristics of art is that it is culturally transgressive, and what could be more transgressive than insulting gays?
Walker should use whatever music he likes and when the musician makes the inevitable vile statement of hatred, he should just say, "Love your music, don't ever change" and keep using it.
There were a couple of pretty good jokes on there.
I liked the Death Star and the walkers.

Maybe the HRC campaign can do something around the theme of a fully operational death star.

Walker set out some nerd-bait, and managed to reel in quite a few.
For his followup, he should tweet "Live long and may the force be with you!" It'll cause those permanent virgins to lose their minds, frantically typing their vitriol through Cheeto-stained fingers.
Hostile nerds are fun.

They really are--there's something about their impotent rage, their command of minutiae, their foiled sense of superiority--it's much funnier than the rage of an average person.
Intentional or not, Walker managed some good rope-a-dope here. Who could read that and feel anything other than embarrassment for those who wrote those responses?
My favorite nerd bait is the picture of Gandalf with the quote "Do or do not, there is no try - Dumbledore"
Anyway this isn't 'Star Wars fans" it's a subset of fans who are liberals already and a whole bunch of irrelevant SWJs on twitter who are "nerds" because it's trendy to be one. I wouldn't worry too much if I was him.

Seen all six movies in the theaters, played all three Old Republic video games and read numerous expanded universe comics and novels.
People who are irked by people who are irked by people who are irked by tweets....
And so on, and so on, and so on.
Sometimes a comment begs to be deleted.
Shouldn't these people be doing something useful like protesting #Gamergate or inadequate representation of women in first person shooter games?
Besides, Walker can't even see their tweets when he's sitting atop his throne constructed out of the skulls of his political enemies.
Did "madisonfella" just copy and paste a "MadisonMan" comment without anything added?
There is a French saying, attributed to Napoleon and often also associated with Patton, that goes something like, ""Audacity, audacity, always audacity!"
This faux outrage over a tweet by Walker, and every other example of faux outrage over every single thing done by any conservative ever, anywhere, is a great example of this saying.
When as a child my younger brother would have a screaming crying tantrum over me playing with one of his toys, it made me less likely to try challenging him when he'd play with mine - because his tantrum would ensue.
My mother put a stop to this by taking away any toy that was the cause of a tantrum, until all the tantrums stopped.
I wonder what would happen if Walker came out and declared the outrage over his tweet to be a juvenile and idiotic tantrum not worthy of a small child. Exploding heads, at the least.
