South Dakota is really beautiful. All of those states out there are amazing, except North Dakota.

I'm confused, since the guy who's now president said while running for office that he'd been to 57 states with, he thought, one more to go. Now there are just 50 states. Maybe he eliminated the others by executive order?

The reason he saved SD for last is that he went 40-58% in the state.

It seems that during Obama's time in office, there were 8 states aborted, and the conjoined twins of Hawaii and Alaska were separated.

I honestly thought the extra 7 were territories or "associations. But wiki says that math won't add up:
"Currently, there are a total of sixteen territories of the United States, five of which are inhabited: Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Marianas, United States Virgin Islands and American Samoa.

Bob- there is nothing wrong with North Daktota. Not the same mountainous west (although SD isn't exactly mountainous either) but an entirely different beauty. Spectacular sunsets, great people. and the fabulous Red River valley and the Badlands.

My brother in Portland, advises that a 737 arrived, and that became Air Force 1. So it was just the C-130 with the security detail, and a 737 with the rest of the politicians and reporters.
The 747 probably landed at some bomber base, and the 737 caught-up with them there.
