I miss the cold days of last winter walking the big dog in the snow. He died in the summer.

I also miss the old days when my mutt of youth accompanied me everywhere unleashed (the good dogs ran free). He was the only dog allowed in the public library where he slept at my feet while I did homework with my friends. A celebrity among the people of that burg for quite a few years.

Isn't it too cold to wear a skirt?

Good times. He was a mutt with mainly a white body with large black spots, a square muzzle, his face with large brown eyes below bushy eye-brows, with reddish-brown cheeks and his name was Shadrach.

Girls wear skirts. Run like a girl in a skirt (brought to you by Always).

That Half time was awful. Who was that woman?

It did get cold out. My last shoveling excursion was really cold. All that wind. I'm tired of drifts.

I don't think this forecast was very accurate. (Of course, since it didn't affect New York City, a bad forecast is not national news.) The forecasts have been chasing the storm rather than predicting it.

@MadisonMan, why do you need an accurate forecast?

@Althouse, I see the JAC got an Instalanche. Congratulations to you both.

Up here in the "True North" (i.e., The Peoples Republic of Minnesota) we got a 1/4" dusting!

For many years I was self-appointed inspector of snow-storms and rain-storms, and did my duty faithfully; surveyor, if not of highways, then of forest paths and all across- lot routes, keeping them open, and ravines bridged and passable at all seasons, where the public heel had testified to their utility. - Henry David Thoreau

Sounds like you and Meade.

As a young boy, and Laslo would probably have fun with this if he saw it... I used to admire the grit of young girls who wore skirts and those totally hot saddle shoes walking to school on single digit mornings. My thought was that I couldn't have done it.
