Everyone knows you take a slightly-used pillow-case that your loved one has slept on and you put it on one of the lonely hotel pillows so you can have it next to you at night. Even without a sense of smell I think it still works.
A mirror shot. In the hotel room. For a second I thought it was a strange Austin eating cafe decorated with pillows. I better go rest up from Tired Grandpaw Syndrome.
My wife doesn't believe there's such a thing as too many pillows. I occasionally get the impression she thinks there might be too much husband taking up space that could be used for more pillows, but that's probably just because I wake up hitting the floor...
I believe you are actually resident in the Not Enough Men annex. When my wife is away I always move into the Sleeping Dog suite. A poor substitute but nevertheless an affectionate companion.

One can never have too many pillows
I'm at the Sleeping With All the Bedroom Windows Open Because There's No One Here to Tell Me I Can't Cafe.
With only one pillow because that's the cowboy way.
And to all a good night.
Meade, I'm with you on the bedroom windows open. And yeah, I can't do it unless I am sleeping alone--but I like two pillows.

One pillow, flip about 4 times per night. Electric blanket set to 5. One bathroom trip. Up at 5:45 (except this morning).
On the contrary, Prof. the Wh is within reach for HRC. It us a done deal.

Dobermans start out on the pillow but prefer head-to-foot orientation, probably for better lookout coverage in case danger needs attention.
A proper dog full bed would have one pillow at each end.
