12 posts written before dawn.

What a strange morning of blogging!

I see the light beginning to come up at last. Time to back away from the lit screen and absorb the soft gray of the morning.

This is the 13th post, written in the late stages of cabin fever from my remote outpost in The North.

You need to get out more. There are Packer tickets available for Sunday. I'll look for you on my TV.

When I say your title "12 posts written before dawn", the first thing that came to mind was Stan Rogers' "Canol Road". Silly.

And then I read "cabin fever". Eerie.

And he's got his cure for cabin fever now!

From my cabin to yours keep the blog lifeline going.

Even after the snow drifts cover the roof tops in Madison we will know MeadeHouse lives...unless the posts stop. There will be no way you can be outside. But maybe we can get a Chinese Icebreaker through to Lake Mendota.

Whose mattress do they stuff it into?

Use regional banks?

Can they invest in stock market or other assets?

Is this some sort of New Year's resolution? If so, it might be quite popular! Grueling, though.

"Canol Road" is classic, along with many Stan Rogers songs. of course, having lived in Alaska for 25 years, cabin fever a common topic. "There I was in my cabin, sharpening my fighting knife for hours, just the hiss of the blade over the whetstone"....

Of course. The Internet can always wait.

Meade's Old Fashioned Cabin Fever Remedy/Prevention®:
1. Go out and shovel snow.
2. Ski, ice skate, snow shoe, walk dogs.
3. Go to bed when the sun goes down.
4. Get up when the sun comes up.
5. Repeat.

So… 15 hours of sleep a night?

I slept 6 hours last night. I love reading and writing before dawn and reading at night once it's dark. Usually I get 7 or 8 hours of sleep. You're suggesting doubling that!

Meade म्हणाले...

Ahem. Read carefully, darling. Did I say "sleep"?

Kirk Parker म्हणाले...

"So… 15 hours of sleep a night? "

Only in the middle of the winter.

You're supposed to store it up until midsummer when you keep the same kind of solar-based sleep schedule.
