Not only is that horrifying, but the idea supposedly behind it is insane. The primary function of the skin is to separate the living system from the external world. No boundary = rapid death.
Either I'm overly sensitive this morning or the "artist" is a perverted schmuck who is also historically insensitive to the point of needing therapy.
Really, "utilizing touch as a means to explore the active relationship between skin and space" sounds quite a bit more interesting than that. Perhaps some kind of performance art?
A bit surprised at all the expressed horror. Does no one else have a favorite couch or armchair covered in the dead skin of another mammal? I love my leather armchair.

I certainly hope the "artist" is not getting public funding for this.
Nah. That stuff's not really (being careful to use the adverbial form of 'real') avant garde. No such furnishings were shown in the Airbnb offices.
Besides - it makes my skin crawl.
....and over here, we have the Mengele lamp shades. They are only sold as twins.....er...I mean, pairs.
What a wonderful gift idea!
Fathers, give your daughter dollhouse furniture that looks like your scrotum!
Every time she sees it, she'll scream, "Daddy!"
Creepy "art" for the untalented.
Honestly, a bit boring.

And the definition of "art" is..???
It's not actual skin!
Ah, art. It's just getting so hard to find something, anything, that's transgressive.
