I'd bill the city for the expenses.
There is no ordinance against it. So why are they suing?
The problem was initially asking for permission. He should asked only if there was an ordinance against it.
But the city won in the state supreme court, so obviously the law is on the other side.
"This house comes with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and the previous owners in the front yard."
And out front, there's a dead skunk in the middle of the road.
