The problem began with the publication of VICE editor Jamie Lee Curtis Taete’s “I Went To Corey Feldman’s Birthday Party,” a firsthand account of a soiree recently Feldman threw himself in “The Feldmansion”....Feldman approved the text, yet he's crying defamation... apparently because of the photographs. Well, go over and look at the photographs. As the headline says: some jerk made it look kinda sad.
Unfortunately, despite Taete’s introductory note explaining he was only allowed to attend on condition of allowing Feldman final edit of the piece—and that the story thus represented “text approved by Corey Feldman”—something about the way Taete captured his Corey’s Angels party didn’t sit well with Feldman....
“It’s called defamation of character and slander n I’m pretty sure those things r still illegal n this country,” Feldman tweeted....

I still miss Marty Feldman.
Is there any way not to make a party like that look sad? No, there is not.
I say that as someone who once had a writing assignment that required five torturous weeks in South Florida with a man, not unlike Feldman, who spent almost every night in scenes like that, surrounded by (hired) beautiful young women looking for the main score before they began looking like their mothers. Meanwhile, he was trying to catch the elusive Bird of Happiness before his cash ran out. All of them lost the race.
This is sadness of Aristotelian richness. Even if Feldman manages to win the suit, those pictures will have captured the truth.
I don't know who Corey Feldman is. Was he famous?
A cheesy, low-budget Hugh Hefner wannabe.
I found the text more depressing than the pictures.
That scene would depress the shit out of me.
The text without the pictures might make it sound kind of interesting. Paired with the pictures he has it's evident that the mockery is in full force. Author is a damn genius!!
Money can't buy happiness. It's age old wisdom but somehow we never believe it's true.
What's with the name of the "editor?"
He's paying $250-per-guy??
Yeah.....now I know why his career went to hell.
What ever happened to the good hearted whores of yore? His Lingerie girls seem cold hearted to me.
Hey guys, just the fact that this guys is still having birthdays is a minor miracle. By every measure imaginable he should have died back in the 90's.
Miley Cyrus and the word "twerking", and Charlie Sheen with everyone enjoying that laugh, and Clinton and Weiner and Letterman acting all "so what?".
You people.

You mean there's something sadder than a guy who has to throw himself his own birthday party? Even the promise of lingerie girls will not make me be a witness to that level of degradation.
I had both of the Coreys in my deadpool picks for at least ten straight years.

The party was for a dead guy. It would have been the 42rd birthday of River Phoenix.
But, yeah, considering how many of the other child actors from that time ended up, he's doing well to still be alive.
Who'd have thought that his trying-to-be Michael Jackson phase could be succeeded in its lameness?
He's still less delusional than you know who in the White House.
I had a look see. Did anyone read the first comment under the story? Perfect encapsulation.
You don't have a Corey Feldman tag?
That's kind of sad.
That's just sad.
He approved that text. He is an idiot. How could you photograph that party in that house and not make it pathetic? Next, he should sue his mirror.
"Sad"? I would've chosen "desperate" instead.
