Althouse- What a pooptastic find in your reading today.

Only in New York could you see a story about a dog owner with remorse that he/she couldn't find time to walk their dog and let it do its duty. And a newspaper that would write about it.

With Michael Bloomberg and Anthony Weiner on the loose, you'd think they would find something better to write about.

Than again, maybe they (NYT) should do a story about the Meadhouse and the borrowing of dogs. It would be a followup to your romance/wedding story. It certainly would be much more interesting than their political coverage.

In fact, they should make your dog borrowing a series, and use it to replace the lineage they currently devote to "Mad Dog" Krugman and his ravings on everything.

I will say this much. When I was working out of state for a long time, I did have a dog sitter because I had an elderly dog that needed to taken care of a little bit more even though wife was there, she was at work too. The woman who dog sat for us was wonderful and she would actually leave a written report on how far and for how long she had our dogs outside, what they did, how they played, and the condition, size, and texture accompanied with the a picture of our elderly dogs poop. She was on chemotherapy for Hemangio Sarcoma, so it was important to gauge her condition based on her poop. This was invaluable to us and worth every penny.

The dog owner trades the risk of less privacy for the value of knowing something with a greater degree of certainty.

For the dog's sake.

Can we fabricate a way of talking about the upcoming conflict between people who hope to find most of life’s fulfillment in private and those for whom being traditionally private feels like being isolated and cut-off – and not only that, but believe it should not be enough for most people.

Why is privacy important again?

Lem Vibe Bandit म्हणाले...

Reading the Wikipedia, privacy seems to come down to some elaborate scheme by which we avoid discriminating each other beyond an acceptable level... or something.

Its a fabricated way of talking about something.... which if I'm correct is wrong to go into at a dog poop post.

Nakedness seems to be at the root of the concept.

Lem Vibe Bandit म्हणाले...

In the biblical story, Adam and Eve discovered they were naked after eating from the fruit of the tree of knowledge.

The NSA goes way back.

Meade म्हणाले...

Adam and Eve were fruitarians. Like Steve Jobs.

Steve Jobs managed to escape original sin?

If I were in a state of untainted original innocence, I could handle being a fruitarian.

I'm a big ol' sinner who likes cheeseburgers.

Meade LOL!!!

Danno, they could make the Meade+Althouse love story into a film and call it "Must Love Borrowed Dogs"
