Ayers thinks Choom should be tried for war crimes.

But only after they'd voted for him twice.

PS The AmnestyCare thing may be finally heating up.

Leno calls Chuckie's plan "11 Million Undocumented Democrats" and Rubio don't like it.

Revenant म्हणाले...

But only after they'd voted for him twice.

There's no basis for that claim.

edutcher म्हणाले...

I didn't hear any complaints about Willie from the Left until about '98.

I'd call that a basis.

I just took the rare clumber out for tinky winky and the last dumper of the day.

We ended up sitting outside my fab expensive love with the desirable zip underneath a gaslight.

An endless stream of dark, foreign, exotic hog walked by and pet the rare clumber. My hog got hard.

Now it's time to masturbate.

Hi chicky wicky wimpy poo-cut and paste this everywhere in order to get some sort of affirmation.

Dick Cheney:

... told “Fox News Sunday” the NSA-led programs have to remain confidential to keep the information from enemies ...

“It was 19 guys with box cutters and airplane tickets,” but the next time it could have been a “nuclear attack,” the 72-year-old Cheney said.

Cheney later opined:

... the IRS targeting Tea Party groups and other politically-conservative organizations was a "gross abuse of power." He also said flagging the groups for additional scrutiny when they were applying for tax-exempt status was "politically motivated."

A likely result of having his irony-recognition nerve severed during one of his multiple heart surgeries.

edutcher म्हणाले...

No irony, although, in regard to the ongoing AmnestyCare, it's interesting to note one group the IRS went after was a Conservative Hispanic one.

Love that metadata.

Then you weren't paying any attention.

In his first term Clinton signed Don't Ask Don't Tell, the Defense of Marriage Act, welfare reform, NAFTA, and expansions to the death penalty, the war on drugs, and immigration enforcement. The far left hated his guts -- why wouldn't they?

Revenant म्हणाले...

And this nuclear attack will magically be detected by snooping on Americans' email.

They were passed then, but those complaints weren't heard until later. Actually, the Lefties bitched more about his payola economic policy than anything else

They may not have liked it (and I remember the whining late in his term), but they kept pretty quiet about it until '98 or so.

And I paid more attention to that sort of thing than most.

I would still like to hear Ann's position on extension of amendments, such as the fourth Amendment to include "privacy," as opposed to state sovereignty, as articulated in the 10th amendment. I think it's important, because it structures the entire country, in particular power of the Federal government vs. power of the states.

edutcher म्हणाले...

What might be more interesting is to hear what the ramifications of the new line where Choom calls us US "persons", not citizens might be.

What's a US person, and how does his/her rights differ from a US citizen?

Is this to accommodate all those undocumented Democrats?

Possibly so.

At a minimum, I think we can all agree it at least means, "Survivor of Roe v. Wade, or whatever applicable laws pertaining to the right to an abortion in the nation of your birth."

Until Carney or the Tele-Prompter-in-Chief elucidates the meaning for us NSA Surveillance Subjects.

Nonsense. Stomp if you wish. And take your bear spray with you. Never do know for sure what you'll encounter out there on those tended green paths.

It was a shame. Gif offers 256 colors and all of them can be green if we like but I could not get photoshop to agree this green is seen in nature so it kept changing it to duller whatever I tried. It's like it kept saying, "that's grass, Foo, and grass has its limitations." And to the people that looked at this before I posted this link, no fairsies.

Tim म्हणाले...

Why is Obama concerning himself with the mechanics?

Obama: You Can't Fathom 'Complexities' of Syria Policy 'If You Haven't Been in Situation Room'

Policy should be used as a guide. It sounds as if Obama is getting into too much nuance. He ought to be thinking big picture.

And, of course, he gets in another Bush hit.

The point isn't the title. The point is the delving into subtleties of military consequences.

Define the policy, and leave it to the military to come to a best solution, and give a thumbs up or down.

Brainless libertarian Revenent will next point out that the US spent many tens of billions each decade on early warning radar and missile launch detection systems..

"Wasted", Revenent would say, "given no Soviet bomber or missile was ever used to attack America."

Anyone in the United States or where the US is sovereign, and, they don't. The constitution's protections do not apply only to US citizens but to all persons within US sovereignty. Look at the phrasing in the constitution: it typically refers to "persons" or "the people." (This is one reason the Bush administration decided to imprison suspected terrorists on Guantanamo: they hoped to or assumed they could avoid challenges to the constitutionality of their treatment of their prisoners on the basis the prison camp was not in the US. They were disabused of this notion by the Supreme Court decision to the contrary in Boumediene v. Bush. This does not mean, however, that many persons detained by US authorities do not have their constitutional rights violated.)

Robert Cook म्हणाले...

There are places in the constitution where the term "citizens" is used rather than "persons" or "the people," so we can assume such designations were consciously made.

Drones: Not just for terrorists any more?

As we learn from this article about Domino's Pizza's apps for digital ordering:

Digital ordering delivers growth for Domino's

Drone delivery being tested

Domino's is driving digital applications even further. In the future, the company may have drone helicopters replace pizza delivery drivers. This could even be a reality in the next several years, as soon as unmanned autonomous vehicles (UAVs) are approved for commercial operation.

It's a strange new world we're living in. Just remember, if a pizza delivery drone shows up at your doorstep, tip generously! You won't know if it's armed and you don't want to find out!
