In our neck of the woods a 29 (or so) year old woman put a puppy in her purse from a pet store and walked off -- she was caught on surveillance and they are looking for her. It is a $1000+ theft.
My sister is a pug person. Her pug Bucky's point is to be useless and yet his existence brings joy to the world. Dogs like this are worth more to humanity than journalists.
Sorry still thinking about how worthless Tom Brokaw is as a person and human being from the post above. I was trying to lighten up but I failed. =(
Spent the day with outdoor work in the mountains north of L.A. at my hang gliding club: metal work on cement with lots of drilling, cutting, welding, and painting followed by ice cold beer, and chip and salsa.
It was a, woody, emergent, sunny day of 79 degrees. A few pilots got average 1-2 hour flights, the dogs ran themselves to exhaustion chasing anything that moved on leg or wing, and we all came together for an impromptu concerto of work, play, indulging, and relating that was just perfectly balanced. Summer is back, and it's great to be alive.
In the middle of this comment we just had an earthquake here. It felt like a medium one of about 4.5 - 5 Richter scale, but I just heard on the radio it was 3.2 with the epicenter under Marina Del Rey, CA, which is right under my feat.
Shook the house 2 good shocks, but did not dislodge anything. Waves in the pond, every dog running around looking for answers. But, Dog, you can't handle the truth. The damned planet is cracking.
Mooch culture.
I'm more partial to bigger dogs but that is a cute dog. And it does really look like he's smiling.
