"I've got it: Nothing. It's about nothing."

We will make a film about nothing:

You see the significance?

Not to be confused with: "What's the show about?"/"It's about nothing." The "Seinfeld" episode "The Pitch" was originally broadcast in September 1992. Over 20 years ago. I know, old. But the film clip above, is from 1966. The movie is "After the Fox" (or "Caccia alla volpe"), with Peter Sellers as The Fox, a master of crime and disguise, who is pretending to be the film director Federico Fabrizi (presumably Federico Fellini). That's Victor Mature as the Marcello Mastroianni-type actor. The director is Vittorio De Sica, oddly enough, and Neil Simon wrote the screenplay.

I was really looking for another clip from "After the Fox," where Sellers is directing Mature in another scene in the criminal scheme he's convinced everyone is a real movie. It's a dream sequence, and Sellers is importuning Mature — in an Italian accent — with "You are running... running!"

I was thinking of that line because "You are running... running!" is my title for this little movie I just made. Check it out:

Hope she caught whatever it was she was chasing.

That must have been a great dream.

She may be having an imagination where she wins the Westminister Dog Show and all of the other dogs bow down to her.

B Treasure Dog used to do that.

We always thought she was racing across the meadow toward Jack, the great unrequited (in more ways than one, he was a big English sheep dog) love of her doggie life.

Funniest Peter Sellers scene for me occurs when Clouseau rescues an unconscious Herbert Lom from a pond, lays him out face down, sits on his backside and proceeds to give him old-fashioned artificial respiration.

Trouble is, to a female passer-by Clouseau appears to be buggering Lom, so she calls him a disgusting perv and whacks him with her umbrella.

Pure gold.

Peter Sellers, the best actor to never have won an Oscar.

I wish there was someone today to do a number like that on Spielberg & Co.

Ah, Yes I see the significance.

Victor Mature a Louisville, KY native was a better actor than he claimed to be or given credit for in my opinion. I liked him in the early forties movie with Rita Hayworth about a con man type traveling showman.

He also was a very intelligent and well-read person.

I knew that Peter Sellers had done a movie called After the Fox, but I assumed that the fox was played by Britt Eklund.

Running?

More like dreaming of digging.
Or scratching.

I sorta liked the theme song to that movie, played here in the title sequence and here in full.

Although now that I hear it again in full, these years later, I find it rather annoying.

Strange.

A lot of neurological development takes place during sleep. She may not be dreaming at all. But it's adorable!

I bet Federico Fabrizi smells good.

I really liked this Dean Spanley movie about reincarnation.

"The screenplay is an adaptation of fantasy author Lord Dunsany's My Talks with Dean Spanley, a 14-chapter novella published in 1936. It is set in Edwardian England.

The narrative is called "a surreal period comedic tale of canine reincarnation exploring the relationships between father and son and master and dog".[1] Peter O'Toole said that the film's use of comedy to explore the relationship between a father and son was part of the attraction for him: "All of us have had these difficult familial relationships and I think it's a film for all of us who understand the relationship between a father and son. It's been interesting watching how various members of the crew have been looking at the monitors during scenes, because they come up to me and say, 'I had the same thing with my father."

No, that was Cary Grant.

Actually Sellers won an Academy Award, http://youtu.be/aWJw5c9gF_s

The British film Academy Award for his role as a shop steward in I'm Alright Jack.

His daughter was a spindle polisher.

Yes. but that's not an Oscar.

No, that was Cary Grant.

Cary Grant may have been the greatest star to have never won an Oscar, but, though he was great at being Cary Grant, he had no where near the acting range of Peter Sellers. Sellers' roles in just Dr. Strangelove shows that.

Ever have a dream where you running as hard as you can but you're stuck and the danger is coming but you're stuck harder and then it happens !?

You wake up.

In the Chip Ahoy Lucid Dreaming Seminars (for $300.00) You will learn to control your dreams so that these critical dream moments are recognized as the "dreaming personal growth points" that they are. It is here where the lucid dreamer recognizes a new deeper level of dreaming, within the dream, that requires a new different mode of transportation to stay within the dream, the present mode does not work in the new level and it is time to fly.

Or at least leap unnaturally far.

That would be a good first ... step, as it were. Within the dream, to stay within the dream and choose flight instead of choosing waking up to get out of the checkmate situation. This will be an instruction, among other instructions, given yourself as you monitor your own breathing and heart rate, and tracking your thoughts as you are falling asleep.

After The Fox's theme song was performed by the Hollies with Peter Sellers. An all time favorite. Couldn't find it online so I uploaded it to the tube.

Cheers!
