When they get caught up in ridiculous prosecutions, it has the tendency to keep good honest citizens out of politics. The problem with many politicos -- and others -- is that they surround themselves with yes-men (and yes-women). What everyone needs is someone who makes you doubt what you think, who makes you evaluate and question. If the people around you are just saying the equivalent of Yes Your Excellency, Whatever you say Your Excellency, you are doomed to mistakes borne of hubris.
