director Judd Apatow asked the unwitting exes Garofalo and Cohen if either had benefitted financially from the split

It's extremely likely they both owe back taxes. Two people with highish incomes pay more tax as married couple than they do as singles. I'm sure they'd argue that legally they were never married, but I'm just correcting a common misconception.

Married couples where one has a much higher income than the other (including no income) benefit compared to two singles. Those with similar or high incomes pay the marriage tax penalty.

Comic marriage.
Tragic people.

Now, that would be comic and cosmic justice if Garofalo owed more income taxes.

Recalling their long-ago dating days, Garofalo quipped, “I’m sure I was terrible,” to which Cohen responded, “I will confirm that.

Wouldn't this be the sort of thing you'd find out about much sooner. Like on a routine credit report, or something?

No one has ever come up with a better description of these lumpen show biz types than Saul Bellow, though he actually used it to define the under class, "They lead whirling lives."

If only members of our military, law enforcement and security communities behaved with the same circumspection as Hollywood celebrities.

Not smart, she is. Him, too. Made for each other, they were. (Props to the guy who wrote Yoda's lines!)

She must be publicity-hungry. We already know she's an idiot.

Garofalo always looks like she needs soap and water, but she does clean up nice. She's made some cute movies early on in her career, but her toxic politics have destroyed her.
